‘We Are One’ Labor Rally Warns GOP: ‘Thousands of Dead Bodies’

Monday in Boston, on the steps of the GOP headquarters, the folks from ‘We Are One’ held a little rally promoting their agenda. (Did you forget that April 4th was the kick off of the We Are One ‘Solidarity Days of Action?’)

So what was it all about?

Event Description:

The National AFL-CIO, several International Unions and others have called for actions around the country. April 4, 1968 was the day in 1968 when Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated in Memphis where he had gone to support sanitation workers fighting for a voice at work.

Please join the Greater Boston Labor Council, Boston Teachers Union, Jobs and Justice, Massachusetts AFL-CIO, MTA, 1199SEIU, and SEIU State Council to stand in solidarity with workers in Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, New Hampshire and other states fighting corporate politicians seeking to destroy collective bargaining.

The unions were asked to gather on the 43rd anniversary of the murder of Dr. King, a man of peace.  So they probably called for peaceful protests and non-violence, right?

Uh, no. Quite the opposite.

Watch this clip from the closing statements at the rally;

‘And to the Republican party of Massachusetts, if you think this is gonna happen here, it is going to be over thousands of dead people’s bodies.’

We are obliged to state the obvious. . . If this had been recorded at a Tea Party Rally it would be headline news for days and the focus of endless ridicule from the Left. Congressional hearings would be held to probe the reason that 1000s of dead bodies lay strewn in the wake of the ‘violent Tea Party revolt.’ But it did not happen at a Tea Party event, this was from All For One, a group with direct ties to the AFL-CIO and their community organizing arm known as Working America.

We are also familiar with the expression, ‘Over my dead body.’ It generally is used as hyperbole to demonstrate a commitment to a cause, meaning that the person would be willing to fight to the death (if need be).

Did the folks from We Are One mean that they are willing to die by the thousands in order to accomplish their stated goals? There may be some within their ranks who believe that violence is a real possibility, we cannot say for certain. But if even one life is lost to violence from these essentially political disagreements, then Dr. King’s legacy deserves an apology.

At one time the unions were very much needed in this country…like a lot of things, those days have passed. Now they are just creating agendas to keep themselves relevent.

Think about it like this, lets say the Justice Brothers, Saprton and Jackson, at one time were helping out the civil rights movement. Lets say they weren’t always as worthless as they are now. Well, they were working for civil rights…we now have a black president, black CEO’s (Herman Cain..etc) and for the most part true racism is not a mainstream issue anymore. They have won thier battles….now they have made themselves irrelevent. However in order to keep the “race gravey train” running, they have to branch out and find new “racism” and other “attrocities” to maintain thier status.

It’s the dog that caught the car…now what?

They forgot 2.5 million of us came back alive and plenty of our young brothers keep coming back . These punks just talk war, we are war. Make them bring it to us. one shot one k

Exactly!!! They know the Justifiable Use of Force laws very well. In NY it’s Article 35 of the New York State Penal Code. Remember this!!!! Your only INTENT if it comes to this is that you were ONLY trying to STOP an action not kill. Save the cowboy stuff. You also want to know if your state gives you the right to give your Police interview at a later time. It will be the most stressful time of your life and you do not want to say or do the wrong thing. Lawyer up as quickly as possible but don’t tell the law that is the plan. CYA

Like Glenn keeps saying, it’s not the members of the unions but their bosses who have been co opted. The membership of these unions need to vote the self serving bastards out. You guys and gals know who they are. They are the ones who don’t want to work the jobs, they want to set the rules and get you the “great” contracts. Just like the snake oil salesmen of the past they are selling you all down the river and enriching themselves. Vote em all out while you still can.

I wish is was that easy… the rules make it VERY difficult to dissent… and then when you do… you just get ruled out of order… effectively silencing your voice… (designed that way????/) then you try and go around to the different work locations talking to the members, thats is until the Union leadership through your real boss give you an ultimatum ….. no resources to fight that fight … so if you re really committed you spend the time doing things I am doing here … and asking for your support … its free and its extremely EFFECTIVE …. follow the blog at http://www.firefightersforfreedom.blogspot.com

Well the truth is, your taxes have bought a bunch of them, but only after the union forced the police and fire departments to purchase them. If it had been left up to the protective and generous nature of You The People (of the tea party) there would be damn few of them bought.

    Capitalism vs Communism

Yesterday, I commuted to work by subway.

Two guys were playing guitar at subway station. One guy played pretty good guitar (I gave him a dollar), another guy was terrible.

And imagine what? There was a pile of money in front of the first guy and only couple dollars in front of another.

Can you have a better explanation how capitalism works?

    Contrast that with communism:

A teacher in high school did an interesting experiment. Children believed that communism was a good idea, so he said “OK, let’s make communism in our classroom. Let’s combine all grades and split them equally”.

The average grade before the beginning of “communism” was 80. After first test, the average became 75, then 72, then 70,… until everybody failed.

You see, why would anybody work harder, if everybody got the same grade anyway???

All these Lefties like to blame the “rich”, but who are the “rich”? How much money makes you rich? “Poor” people in America would be considered rich in Africa or South America. I went to Costa Rica and saw families living in tin shacks. Most of the “poor” people I see here in America have HD TV’s, cell phones, and cars. The are given MY money for these things. And, I’m sure if you asked them, they would tell you that they themselves would, one day, like to be rich.
So, now I’m totally confused. How can the rich be evil, if everybody wants to be rich? And those that reply to me saying they don’t want to be rich, e-mail me and I’ll tell you where to wire all of your money.

No, not amazing, just the way they wish to make their reality = ends justifying the means they use.

To them it comes down to the basis of Control and Power; have the Control, and you dictate the terms and functions directions events go in. With Power, you have the means of affirming the dictates of Control.

Lose the Control, and they have nothing. When they realize they have lost Power as well, then they will react with extreme violence unless providence interveins.

What is even more amazing is how the right can convince the working (poor) to fight the working middle class. (getting poorer) So I may have a decent health care package and wages that have been bargained for by a union. My brother on the other hand works for a local food store chain who pays above minimum wage and has no health care package or one that is very costly. I am now expected by my brother to get rid of the union and drop my wages to his and maybe be able to afford health care for my family? But wait, there is big business / boss who is willing to take a cut in his or her profits so that my brother and i can both afford health care? if you know a Koch brother like that let me know. I am an American Citizen and I want the optio of having a union. I served this great Nation just like some of those who may not want unions to exist. that is their right and because of that right they are free to seek and find a non union job and I have no right to impose my rights on them. In closing I will ask those who are in a union only because they have to be as a condition of employmen. Have you ever thought about giving back the wages unions have bargained for to your employer minus the union dues? Has you employer ever ask you to give them back and they would give you the raise they think is fair?
Some may have you think that there is a difference between a state and city union and a Fire and Police union. There is no difference. all bargain for better pay and working conditions and much much more.so you may think you are different but after me they will come for you under the flag of a friend. Yes there are some not so good unions just as there are some not so good employers and workers. They are in both work sectors. I am not sure but I know if I am wrong someone will corect me. Andy Jacobs would never accept a pay increase while he was in congress for most or all his career. when was the last congressman willing to take a pay cut. Dem or Repub. As Gov. Walker if he is willing to go with out pay or with less pay in order to get the budget in the black. Thanks for allowing me to rant.

I am a conservative through and through and resent you telling me I’m trying to bring down the working poor, etc. How dare you? And there are hundreds of thousands just like me. We aren’t violent and have never wanted or been comfortable with activism. Mostly we ARE the middle class. Why on earth do you liberals insist that we’re trying to destroy the middle class? My hubby & I are both retired and tying to live on 2K a month. Is that rich?! He paid into his pension for 22yrs & then USAir filed for bankruptcy. Bye, bye dedicated pension. It took nearly twenty years for the PBGC to take over the pension but they were cut to 1/4 of what they should have been for the guys with that many in service years. The rest got nothing….zip. ALPA (Airline Pilots Association) did NOTHIING to help the retirees. My line of work ( dental ) doesn’t pay for much of anything. No PTO, sick time, vacation, 401k, etc. Maybe you get your teeth worked on for free if you have a nice boss.
Now I know there is a difference between the private and public unions so no need to remind me of that. It’s just time people grow up and take a realistic look at the deep financial doo doo this country is in and stop the gimme, gimme, gimme crap.

@r304indy: Since you know the difference between Public and Private sector unions, then you should also be aware that TAXPAYERS pay the salaries of public union workers, which, by the way, include Firemen, Policemen and Teachers. So when public union bargaining comes to the table where is the representative for the taxpayer? Who sits at that table and speaks for the people paying the salaries of the workers? No one has any objection to your having a union or belonging to a union. No one has any objection to your having the “union right” to bargain for your salary, raises or even for health and retirement benefits. What we DO object to is PUBLIC Unions cramming down the taxpayers’ throats a pay hike or higher percentage of benefits … psst said “union privilege” gained because the union boss has the ear of the politician with whom he is discussing these monetary matters because said union boss is padding the pockets of said politician sitting at the table promising campaign support in the next election. That, r304indy, is taxation without representation!

Governor Walker agreed to the unions’ requests for wage bargaining – what he fought for was to abolish the cronyism of unions and politicians (of all flavors) that adversely affect his taxpayers.
If this current situation does not move you to compassion for those taxpayers, then “res ipsa loquitur” – “the thing speaks for itself”.

I can appreciate your perspective, but you also fail to take in the lack true freedom that exists when a union becomes involved. For example, we all know that in non-“right to work” states, you have to be a union member and pay your dues if you want to be in certain professions. However, even in “right to work” states, unions limit freedom. One example: I worked at a small printing shop for a couple of years. Numerous times we had people come in and when they found we were non-union, they said “we’d love to use you but we aren’t allowed since you don’t use union workers.” There’s a GM plant here in our area, try to get a job there without being in the Auto Workers Union. Sure legally they are not required to hire union workers, but the Union bullies would never allow it.

You want the right to unionize, and that’s perfectly acceptable. But where you infringe on my rights is when you force people to accept and use the unionized labor. Then it becomes a monopoly. I’m of the opinion that the market should dictate pay. If a business owner can find somebody who’s willing to work for a lesser amount, then they should be able to pay them that amount. If they don’t pay much they are going to lose out of the quality workers that help make business successful. If you don’t like what you are getting paid, and they are not willing to give you a raise, then find another job. Do some other work. Being a teacher is not a “right” it is a choice. If you choose to be a teacher then you know what the market pays. The better you are, the better you end up being paid because they will want to keep you. But when unions draw the line saying “teachers should get paid this much” then everyone is paid the same regardless of their merits. I knew teachers who you could tell had no clue how to teach, and were just reading a chapter ahead. And then I knew teachers who really had a passion for it and could help anyone learn. But the union took away the benefit and reward of being a great teacher. It also took away the punishment of being a poor one.

Hey, I have an idea….let’s all get a small group together in our own towns. Say the EXACT phrase this guy is saying and then post it online. BUT FIRST– be certain your “Tea Party, Ron Paul, Audit the Fed, No More Taxes, No Collective Bargaining” signs are showing in the video.
Then let’s see just HOW MUCH publicity it gets, huh? I think I may do JUST that.
      redeemedwench@hotmail.com.
whether or not this recording has been overblown isn’t relevant to me. What IS relevant is the fact that if it were any conservative activists or leaders, this would be “violent rhetoric.”

I’m not for what these people are preaching, BUT, lets get the quote straight. It was ” people’s dead bodies”, not ” dead people’s bodies” . Just saying, that is what the recording said. If we want to be taken seriously and not out of context, we have to start by doing it ourselves.

Sorry, but the justice department is too busy over here in Utah investigating “discrimination” at a high school. Funny how Mr. Holder‘s boys can’t seem to scrap together enough manpower to handle a lot of issues, but they have enough time to investigate high school students.

IT is TIME to choose your side…the line in the sand has been drawn!!!

You either are for the Constitution or you are the enemy! You are for collectivism, tyranny or for freedom! You are for anarchy or the rule of law! You are for American exceptioanlism or a communist re-tread!

PICK your sides carefully, time is coming to stand up for the REAL America, and die for her, or to be subjugated by the elite!

Which is it America, who will you stand and fight with? I’d rather be DEAD than RED!!!!

Do you wonder why it’s only 54 SECONDS LONG??? Buy-the-lie, hook line and sinker. The whole context of the statement reveals that he is referring to the thousands who were assassinated/died in the fight for the rights of workers in the US IN THE PAST! This is such a repetitive tactic, admittedly on both sides. But the gullible who don’t look further are too easily deceived, then refer to having “seen video in their own words” as “proof.”

Um,….I think we need to settle down on this one. The way I understand the comment, was not a violent image. It was the man trying to pluralize the idea of “Over my dead body” indicating that he was willing to fight for what he believed in and was going to fight until he died. Just like Charlton Heston’s “From my cold dead hands…” He wanted to indicate that there were thousands of people willing to fight for what they belive. It would have been better phrased by saying “Over OUR dead bodies.” This is simply a poor choice of words.

The ONLY bodies that will be laying there will be UNION bosses as the UNION member throw them out… even the members are SICK of them.. members pay the union to represent them and NOT to have to protest.. GET violent.. or even be BOTHERED with this nonsense.. NOW true these are GOVERNMENT UNIONS unlike PRIVATE ONES who will NEVER see the benefits that the GOVERNMENT WORKERS are getting and are a little taken aback when they SEE how much GOVERNMENT WORKERS are getting and are still whining.. I know union workers.. they buy GOLD.. have FOOD STORAGE .. and the ones in construction are having the hardest time..and those are the ones they are recruiting to protest.. (when they are really union members).. cause the members need to make enough money to pay their dues or the UNION drops them and they lose their pensions all togeather.. when you don’t work for a COMPANY and work for a UNION HALL ( which with the lack of construction jobs is most construction workers).. the UNION has your pension not your company..
