‘We Insist!’: Conservatives Shout Down AIDS Activists Trying to Crash Bachmann Speech

CNN reports out of Nashua, NH:

In a surprise clash of conservative activists versus liberal activists, advocates for the president’s global AIDS plan crashed Rep. Michele Bachmann’s carefully choreographed speech to a gathering of New Hampshire Republicans.

As the Minnesota lawmaker spoke to the GOP state committee on Saturday in Nashua, a line of liberal activists burst into a chant and waved signs that read, “Michele Bachmann, We Insist! End AIDS treatment waiting lists.”

The activists were incensed at proposed budget cuts to PEPFAR, the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.

As they attempted to circle the room, getting closer to the platform where the congresswoman was speaking, conservatives in attendance sprang into action – booing, shouting down the activists and ushering them out of the room.

After they were ousted, Bachmann lashed out at them.

“They just brought the buses in from Madison, Wisconsin,” the congresswoman said, an apparent reference to recent protests over bargaining rights of most Wisconsin state workers.

“Get ready, we‘re seeing this kind of response because the left knows that we’re coming,” Bachmann said over loud applause.

      Bingo. The place has gone down and the trolls have taken over. Have you also noticed that CNN has lots of reporters on the ground in Japan and all the video is from CNN. Fox seems to be going soft on real news and concentrating on politics only. Fox headlines are hours, if not days behind CNN.
      Too bad, I can hardly watch CNN due to the bias they exhibit in every political story.

      So riddle me this captkook, what is “Vital” social spending? Is it making sure that the people who don’t desire to pull themselves up have that hand out vice a hand up? Is it taxing the corporations so high in order to gain your so called social justice that they close their doors and move operations elsewhere in the world? Then not only do you lose the business tax you lose the workers income tax and have more people on the government teet. In the end the people that end up footing the bill for those that don’t want to get on their own feet are us, the working middle class not the rich. The people who are rich such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Jon Huntsman, etc are rich because of their own sweat and blood and have earned it with their innovations. Our country has squelched that with over regulations of businesses and industries so that compamies have to do more with less which is one of the reasons for lay-offs and plant shut downs. This story goes on and on and the argument can not be defeated! Lets not forget your so called champions of the little guys, Michael Moore, Nancy Pelosi, George Soros, George Clooney, Sean Penn all filthy rich who I have yet to see open up their bank accounts to let government have it for so called Social Justice. Socialism is for control of the people not the socialists.

      You mentioned earlier that you are rich. Why don’t you do something productive like funding these aids initiatives on your own instead of forcing others to pay for them through their hard earned dollars. I have many causes I would rather put my charity dollars to work for, and not have the Govmt’ dictate what those causes might be. Put your money where your mouth is. BTW…the thought of you being rich feels like a dream to me…and probably is just that….a dream.

      Kook, if you are so wealthy as you claim to be, why don’t you be our example and give your entire fortune to the government to pay for social programs. Put your money where your mouth is. And if you’re employing anyone, don’t feel shame at laying them off as your wealth is swallowed up by social spending.       I posted this simple statement on my website in Aug ‘04. Most problems have a simple answer if you can IGNORE the dishonest people who scream and carry on.

      As far as taxation goes, maybe you should consider the possibility of letting the people keep their money instead of taxing them and then handing it out as big brother sees fit to this important cause or that important cause. The fact is that everyone has “important causes” that they feel should justify having someone else pay for it (the taxpayer). The game is tax the people and then squabble over who gets it by screaming the loudest. I don’t want any part of it, and until we get a flat tax, I’ll take every tax break I can find to keep from paying for “other peoples important causes”. …rf

I have recently completed sorely needed classes in emotional maturity and helping myself to learn what to do in difficult moments, and I learned that one thing — the only thing really, that bullies understand is this: STOP!
