‘We Just Want His Body Back’: Wife of Alleged Mexican Pirate Victim Begs Obama for Help

The wife of an American man allegedly shot in the back of the head by Mexican pirates while jet skiing in Texas boundary waters pleaded with President Obama and Mexican authorities today to allow her to search for her husband’s body.

Tiffany Hartley, whose husband David is still unaccounted for, appeared on “Fox and Friends” this morning recounting her ordeal and begging the president, secretary of state, and others to encourage the Mexican government to let American authorities cross the border and search for David’s body in Mexican waters:

The plea comes on the same day that Mexican officials started questioning whether or not the shooting actually occurred, citing an inability to locate the victim’s jet ski or body:

Probably takes a long time to search in a search boat with no motor (very environmentally friendly). they are already trying to put the blame on the US citizens, more BS and Lies from Mexico. They sound like progressives.

Hmmmm. The more I hear her sob story, I think James T. Kirk is correct. First of all, I heard that she had lived in Mexico for almost two years before this incident. Perhaps she knew people over there and it was all a setup. I wonder how much $$$ the life insurance was? How is that there was only one shot to the head when there several men shooting at both of them. She never got shot? Interesting? If there were so many shots being fired, wouldn’t her jet ski have had some kind of bullet hits? Give her a week, she’ll come out crying that she made all up just like the acid lady.

Lord, please help her in her tangled web of lies.

This couple were obviously liberals. they felt entitled to protection while on Falcon Lake, so they failed to heed the warnings (as well as common sense) to stay away from the Mexican border. Now, here she is, broken hearted and begging for something unreasonable. “PLEASE! I need more Americans to risk their lives searching for my husband!” Sorry, lady. Consider yourself lucky that you’re not with your husband at the bottom of that lake.

    From Fox News:
    ——

Paco Mendoza is the president of the Zapata County Chamber of Commerce, he joined me via skype. “Paco, what’s it like now in Zapata?”

“Well Nicole, Zapata residents are pretty much surprised and stunned at the news coverage we’ve been getting here in our small, peaceful town,” Mendoza said.

“I feel that they didn’t take the necessary actions to protect themselves, they had no business crossing into mexican waters,” Mendoza said.

He says one important fact needs to be kept in mind.

“All the reported incidents have occurred on Mexican waters and we need to keep that in mind and I don’t want the general public to fear coming to Zapata and enjoying our very famous lake here, Falcon Lake has broken world records and it’s very well known for its superior bass fishing,” Mendoza said.

    http://www.myfoxlubbock.com/news/local/story/falcon-lake-hartley-pirates-mexico-zapata/FM3ln48oE02xPYaShRWN8g.cspx

    ——

    Stunned and surprised?

This is comforting to know Falcon Lake offers superior bass fishing. I am sure this news will have Americans rushing to this lake for bass fishing; nothing to worry about like murderous Mexicans.

Been to the Guerrero Viejo ruins many times. It is somewhat remote and easier to get to by boat than by vehicle since there is no paved road to get you there. Before people start questioning why they ventured out there, this is a very old colonial city dating back to the early 1700′s. The damming of the Rio Grande in the early 50′s submerged this city and its European style architecture preserving it like a time capsule. It is a wonderful excursion for those interested in history. The problem is you have to be crazy to go out there today. There is an ongoing turf war in this area and people are being brutally murdered and mutilated on an almost daily basis. The cartel thugs routinely start fire fights in the cities paralizing residents caught in the melee. There are smaller incidents occurring in the US and soon enough there will be a major incident on American soil. It is only a matter of time.

All I can say is that it is extremely foolish to go anywhere near the border at this time. This was not a smart thing to do, no matter how you want to live your life because venturing out on the river in these areas is simply a death wish. The incomprehensible thing is that parts of the United States are no longer safe and we have essentially ceded these parts to Mexico, thanks to the inaction of the great usurper in the White House.

Many of you are questioning her honesty. I don’t see why. There has not been anybody close to the family accusing her of foul play. The drug thugs killed the guy for his jet ski, hid it and disposed of the body. Now they’ll probably use it to smuggle the drugs of that “district attorney” into the U.S. The fact that she didn‘t get shot right away isn’t a surprise. It’s probably harder for a guy to kill a pretty defenseless blonde than it is to kill a grown man. It sounds like they changed their minds and chased her into U.S. waters with guns blazing. Now a witness has surfaced to attest to that. If there were marital problems someone would have come forward already.

The U.S. should boycott Mexico. The Mexican government is obviously so corrupt that they are covering up for the drug cartels that murdered this American citizen. We aren’t shooting the Mexicans that cross the border into our country. Stop traveling to Mexico since you can’t trust their government to protect you. Close the border and give notice that any armed Mexicans will be considered an invading force and will be dealt with accordingly. I wonder how long their government will ignore a boycott before coming to their senses. Mexico continues to be more of an enemy than an ally to the United States. It’s time to stand up to Mexico.

You’re talking Social Darwinism here with that state of mind. As for the lady’s story – I live in Texas and I tend to believe it. Someone said that we don’t understand war and there is a war going on at the border and that is about right. More people have been killed on the border in this drug war than Americans killed in Iraq, Afghanistan and 9/11 all together – I think the latest figure I heard was 27000. Then the illegals make it to Austin where I live and Austin is a “sanctuary city” – the city won’t turn them over to ICE or sent them back – they get medical benefits, food stamps, jobs and have made some parts of Austin almost unlivable. I haven’t worked in 6 months and no one is helping me with medical benefits. I really get hot about the illegal situation.

First and foremost, I’m sorry you lost your husband. My thoughts are with you and your family.

There isn’t a safe place along the border. We are at war with the criminals of Mexico with our hands tied behind our backs because our Government has an undisclosed purpose. That’s evident in failure to secure our border that permits those criminals to enter and exit our country with free will.

I think you are mistaken. People who aren’t apprised of the real world (ie-don’t read/watch the new media or fox) have no idea of the savages that lay immediately beyond our borders. It is a real injustice that the media does not warn tourist that their very lives are in jeopardy when crossing into Mexico by land or water. I believe both the wife and the mother wholeheartedly. Maybe I’m a fool, but I really am going with my gut, as well as what I know about the current state of Mexico. They can’t find a body because there is no body. They murderers on the boat fished it out in order to leave no evidence. The didn’t do this b/c they cared about repercussions from the Mexican government. They didn’t want the US on their back. My heart goes out to the wife and family. My prayers are with them.

I truly think I am shocked at the train of thought on this site. People say her story doesn’t make sense???? This woman is in shock. This was an attack. No, I don’t think she has everything exactly right in the retelling of the story… not as it may have actually objectively gone down. But, give me a break. You have got to be kidding. She saw her husband shot… she was being shot at. She/they were running for their lives. When someone is trying to kill you and the man you love…you dont’ sit down and take notes, You go into shock… a protective mechanism to help you survive and yes, attempt to do the impossible like trying to lift your husband on your own jet ski to get him out of there. It may not even have registered to her that he was actually dead. She may just have been praying… oh, please God,… no. And yes, people are able to accomplish amazing things under stress …like lifting the 250 lb body of the man you love in order to save him. And now for everyone to be jumping on a band wagon saying she probably killed him and they don’t trust her story… I am beyond words.

Regarding those who say it was their own fault that they ventured where there was danger. .. my answer is that yes,, we are a blind people. We are no different from this couple. We feel we are invincible and it won’t happen to me ..it won’t happen here…but guess what …it is here.

My husband always said that Americans just don’t understand war because they have never experienced it. They will be in for a rude awakening when “war” comes to our shores. (He was a Vietnam vet and came to know war in a very personal manner.) Well “war” has come to our shores and we are in total denial. Wake up America! This is what war is all about. Stop attacking this woman and questioning her story… what happened to “inocent till proven guilty” anyway?

Please Fox news…do the right thing. Ths will be twisted back on this woman and she will have to defend herself in court….she needs to talk with a laywer before she says anything else. Not because she is guilty of a crime but because we as Amercans are so willing to accuse our own instead of recognizing a very real threat.

And with respect to the Feds… this will give mr. obama another chance for him to appologize to another third world country about an ugly American getting in the wayof a bullet of a third world country “child” doing target practice and fishing at the same time. If there was a question of the reality of this situation there would be no reason why the Mexican govenment would not welcome a joint search and recovery effort with the United States. That is what would have happened in more civil times… but these are not civil times .. and our country is at war with it’s own citizens. Please, America…we can’t be turning on ourselves.

And to everyone I do highly recomnend Desouza’s book about the “Roots” of obama rage.
