‘We Should Be Ashamed of Ourselves That Our Media is Convicting This Man’: Ted Nugent Speaks on Trayvon Martin, Whitney Houston

Conservative rocker Ted Nugent appeared on radio talk show host Mike Broomhead’s show today to discuss everything from Whitney Houston’s untimely death to the Trayvon Martin case. And to no one’s surprise, he didn’t mince words on any of the topics involved. Along with the national media generally, Nugent singled out Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Piers Morgan as villains in the Trayvon Martin case.

“The only time a black life matters to Al Sharpton is when a black person is killed by maybe – not a Hispanic, but a white Hispanic. Mike, you and I couldn’t make this stuff up,” Nugent thundered in concluding his remaks on the Martin case. His remarks on Whitney Houston‘s friends weren’t much more tame.

“Whitney Houston was surrounded by gazillions of dollars, and a whole bunch of bloodsuckers, and a whole bunch of people taking advantage of her, but they didn’t have the spirit, they didn’t have the wherewithal, to just squeeze that woman and force her to stop,” Nugent opined.

    I just can‘t figure out why the media hasn’t been arrested for obstruction of an investigation and insiting mobs. I guess if your part of the good ole boy club you can continiously break the law interferring in investigations and passing judgements on the citizens. I wonder how many peoples lives have been ruined by media. Go figure.

      Wait until they find no evidence to arrest Zimm. The race pimps Sharpton, Jackson, Shabazz and Farrakhan who have been calling for false justice will be to blame for the burning of the black cities.       The Nuewg was on Piers the other night and he had a chance to go all out but did not! Not even a cross word. He did pull punches and I really have to wonder why esp since we knew so much more about this case at that time to include proof that Mr. Z was on his back and someone put him there before he shot the perp dead. This does not square with the belief he was shot without a fight and in cold blood.

      I’m surprised that NO ONE has bothered to look at the positive side of the Lunchtray Merkin issue.
      1. One less black inmate at the expense of the American taxpayer,
      2. Dozens of less cases involving everything from robbery to rape for overburdened police departments to solve,
      3. Four less fatherless children to repeat the cycle.

      Please someone, anyone, find me some statistics that would refute this ugly claim.

      if the news media isnt reporting the truth, inciting riots etc. why are they allowed to continue to be in a position to inform the public false reporting? thats not reporting the news, thats passing on roomers. the Zimmerman’s should, if they can, sue the media for spreading ‘stories’ without confirming the facts, that the media’s false reporting has caused the Zimmermans money to pay for security because of the false reporting of the media.

      Nugent’s right. It is outrageous the way the media, especially FOX and this website, have tried to make Trayvon out to be some hoodlum.

      But here is my question. Zimmerman was following this guy for no reason, at least not one apparent to Trayvon. What would you think if someone were clearly following you? Who is “threatened” at that point? Supposing it’s true Trayvon slugged the guy? Did he not have a right to “stand his ground?” So you can stalk somebody until they turn around to defend themselves, and then legally kill them? There’s something wrong with that.

    Why do the media continue to show photos of a young Trayvon Martin (even the hoody picture has been air-brushed to make him look innocent; I’ve seen the same photo with an older face) and then the George Zimmerman mug shot. There are photos that show Zimmerman dressed nicely and smiling; there are photos of a thuggish Martin with gold teeth and tats, making finger signals). Most news sources, even FOX, continue to show the photos that bias viewers against Zimmerman.

      I think that one pitcure was wrong, but there are some other pics of him flipping off a camera, etc.
      still… pics of George dressed well, or pics of trayvon acting thuggish for the camera, doesn’t matter. Trayvon was suspended from school for weed… George had gone to jail for assaulting a cop, and had a restraining order put on him from his ex-wife…. that also doesn’t matter… Nothing really changes the fact that a 28 year old grown man with a gun, stalked and murdered an unarmed kid. In the end, thats all that matters.

      If some dude was following me around with a gun, some guy that wasn’t a cop, wasn’t in uniform… I would have tried to beat him to death too. Trayvon doesn’t know who this psycho is, he just knows its a dark, rainy night, and there is a guy with a gun that won’t leave him alone, he has to assume that this guy is going to kill him, rape him, abduct him, etc. Fight for your life.

      Don’t forget NBC and CNN selectively editing the 911 recording to make Zimmermann look like a racist who was following Travon because he was black.
      Their leaving out selected portions of the recording helped incite people to convict Zimmerman without a trial. Led them to accuse the Police Department of not conducting an investigation into the shooting.
      If Sweet Old Barack can delay the announcement that there is not enough evidenc e to arrest Zimmermann or if Zimmermann goes to trial and is found not guilty there will be riots in several cities that will look like LA after the Rodney King mess. I believe that tthat is what Sweet Old Barack and Holdup want.

      @SKIMMER57 Thank you for your service. I was, (to use your phrase) “crapping yellow”, while my father was doing tours of Vietnam, piloting helicopters in & out of harm’s way. He experienced *plenty* of horrific stuff. Please note that he doesn’t speak about it, and all his medals and citations are in a trunk in the “war room”…

      That being said, I think you need to shut your almighty trap about Ted. These days you have to have cojones the size of Texas to speak out publicly against the prevailing liberal wind (read: hurricane), especially if you’re in education or the entertainment industry. Mr. Nugent calls a spade a spade, and it’s obnoxious pile drivers like him that keep the conversation from being completely owned by the liberal/“progressive” news media.

      While I wasn’t yet born, my father flew over 200 missions in Vietnam off the USS Ranger. While you are entitled to your opinion, isn’t Ted entitled to his as well? Are you suggesting that if you didn’t serve, you can’t express your opinion about war?

      I have a grasp of what hell war can be, only from the very few stories my father would tell. I understand that many people abhor the thought of conflict, but I don’t think that should preclude anyone from expressing their opinion.

    My wife had the priveldge of meeting Mr. Nugent years ago after a concert. He was very well mannered, eloquent, and a joy to converse with. When it was time to elect a new Governor in our state (and his too), she wrote him in the ballot!! We both feel like it’s time for Uncle Ted to shine and get even more involved, since he’s got his head on straight.

      Saranda you must be on drugs if you don’t like the Nuge! Plllleeeaaasssee! How is having long hair bad hygiene??? He is one of the most intelligent and well spoken, gun totin’ patriots! You never have to wonder where he stands on any issue…talk about transparency! Hey, if we elect Nuge for president, then we can probably get open carry passed in all 50 states! Sweet!

      SARANDA, Saw Ted when he was with the Amboy Dukes in ‘71 when I was a high school senior. Just found that he is a mere 4 1/2 years older than me. I’ve also read of his avoiding the draft, but having lived through those same times I can easily forgive him of his youthful indiscretions as I was a youth then too. I went on to join the Army six years later, and retired some fifteen years ago. Nugent has obviously matured to become a true American patriot. for that I salute him. Furthermore, unlike 0bama, Nugent has not spent millions to try and hide his past, nor do I recall him saying that he loathed the military like another low life stain of a president did.

      @waggie – bad hygiene was not long hair. He soiled and urinate his pants and avoided bathing for weeks prior to his draft meeting. He went out of his way to avoid service. Then, after being “safe” from service he become vocal about his love for America. Not a hero in my world, more likely a guy who let his country down when it called. As for this being a youthful decision…fine. Just shut the first up for the rest of your about how great the troops are. They didn’t run and hide at the same age you did nuge.

      @SARANDA At the time that the Nuge was exercising his youthful indiscretion(s), who would have predicted that in 40 years, the United States would be rotting from the inside-out in part from the forces that we were combating around the globe then?

      Sorry, hon, we have much bigger fish to fry right now ==> let Mr. Nugent contribute.

      I fail to see what your getting at? That the man has no place to have an opinion on the subject? That he shouldnt talk at all? That what you served your country for……so that people that didnt serve would be silent? Please. Get a life dude.
