Weiner Again Vows Not To Resign During Sidewalk Interview

A reporter from the New York Post caught up with disgraced Rep. Anthony Weiner today on a New York City sidewalk outside his attorney’s office. In a rapid-fire interview, Weiner acknowledged that he’s “betrayed” a lot of people and wasn’t honest. However, he stood firm when it came to his job, saying he would “not” resign.
You can watch the interview below, in which he also declines not to comment on his wife’s apparent pregnancy:

I have to agree with this one . Unless you live in his disrtict your opinion means nothing and shoudl be kept to yourself. What he did was wrong to his wife but not the peopel he represents nor was a crime commited.
Besides, if Weiner was in the GOP he could run for President. All the outrage over Weiner sending a pic yet Newt was Speaker of the House and cheated on his wife but that doesnt stop him. David Vitter got hookers while in office and he hasnt resigned, last i checked prostitution was illegal. If a law breaker can stay in their position why shoudlnt Weiner who broke no law?

After being confronted with allegations, he said “This was a very serious sin in my past for which I am, of course, completely responsible.” While I admit that this is not a confession of a crime, it’s a pretty clear indication to me that he was involved in something illicit, if not illegal. He did not resign his position, and has been subsequently reelected. He has in the past campaigned on his ‘family values’, which is something that Weiner has never done (to my knowledge).

He may not live up to some people’s moral code, but that doesn’t necessarily make him incapable of representing his constituents best interests. If the people of New York decide that he’s the guy they want representing them, then that’s their call and not yours (unless you live in his district), mine, Beck’s, Schultz’s, or anyone elses.

The moral thing to do is resign.
I won’t be able to look at him on television now without thinking of his underwear and the cell phone shot of his weiner. I will probably forget what his face looks like. But, as you say, he might be able to overcome this.
