‘We’ll Be Better Off’: President Obama Calls Supreme Court Decision a Victory for All American People

(The Blaze/AP) President Barack Obama says the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold his health care overhaul is a “victory for people all over the country” and will make their lives more secure.
Obama says the decision upholds the fundamental principle that in America – the wealthiest nation on earth – no one should fall into financial ruin because of an illness.
The president says the decision means that people with pre-existing medical conditions will not be discriminated against and people will be able to afford quality health care.
The nation‘s highest court on Thursday upheld the individual insurance requirement at the center of the president’s overhaul.
Polling has suggested that most Americans oppose the law and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney vowed again after the ruling to seek its repeal.

Therefore NOT a tax!Which the court say the congress could NOT do, through the Commerce Clause! Thats unconstitutional! All The court did was uphold the fact that the govt, CAN collect taxes! Its up to the PEOPLE, to decide if its something they want to go along with! By kicking those IDIOTS OUT in Nov, is what the court just MANDATED us to do! Posted on June 28, 2012 at 2:57pmI know this. 6 years ago my wife and I paid $164k in Federal and $42k in CA State taxes over $500k in income. Since then I’ve quit (director in Si Valley) and my wife has shutdown her private business. The house is paid off and we stuffed a ton of money away.
As long as all these programs define qualifications based on income and not net worth, I’m getting on for the ride. We’re paying almost $14k/yr in catastrophic health care (huge deductible). When BarryCare gets here, someone else gets to pay for us, and that will be the equivalent of almost $30k of income (we were over the 50% point in taxes). I think we can qualify for the earned income credit this year, and even low income assistance for our energy use. I’m looking for more subsidies to apply for!
You want to penalize success and reward failure? It’s a lot easier to be a failure than a success.l
