Yes, the Westboro Baptist Church Released a Whitney Houston Parody: ‘God Will Always Hate You’

Westboro Baptist Church Releases God Will Always Hate You Parody, Will Picket Whitney Houstons Funeral

The Westboro Baptist Church has announced plans to picket Whitney Houston’s funeral, set to take place in her native Newark, N.J. Saturday, one week after her death.

“Yay! 2 pickets in NJ-Whitney Houston funeral & [legislature],” Margie Phelps, daughter of church pastor Fred Phelps, tweeted this week.

The controversial Topeka, Kansas-based “church” is known for picketing the funerals of soldiers, celebrities and gays. According to the Christian Post, it‘s unclear why exactly the church would target Houston’s funeral: she was Christian and grew up attending church in Newark.

But in a separate tweet, Margie Phelps referred to Houston as a “gay icon.” She also posted a picture of a sign church members will presumably carry, reading “Whitney in hell” and depicting her smoking a small pipe, a reference to her drug addiction past.

Ahead of Houston’s funeral, members of the church released their own rendition of Houston’s famous song “I Will Always Love You,“ titled ”God Will Always Hate You.”

Listen below (lyrics follow):

If you had obeyed, you would not be in those flames
Now you know, that it’s so, God hated you every step of your way

And God will always hate you – ooh! Oh Whitney, He hates you
Now you, you druggie you,
Mhhhh

All your sins’ memories, that is what you left all to see
It’s too late, at 48
Now you can’t tell others to heed

Cuz God will always hate you
Oh Whitney, He hates you
(Musical interlude.)
Your God treated you kind
Gave your voice, a talent to use
And you played the whore, with filthiness But above all this, our signs you refused And God will always hate you

He will always hate you
Whitney you know He hates you
He will always hate you!
He will always hate you!
He will always hate you! You!
Druggie, He hates you
He will always, He will always hate you- ooh-ooh

As the Post pointed out, the Westboro Baptist Church has not always followed through in picketing every funeral they announced they would attend.

It is a waste of a life and God certainly will not look upon this fondly, considering the talents he had bestowed upon this woman. However, man supposedly has no authority to judge: Hate the sin; love the sinner.

Is is such a shame, that those of the Westboro Baptist Church, feel, that they can be judge and jury regarding God’s Kingdom. The Bible states, that we will all stand in judgement and that includes EVERYONE!, even all of you at the Westboro Baptist Church. My God, is love and least any of you forget, God said “we are all sinners and have fallen short of His glory” I just wish, you wouldn’t claim that you are affiliated with any church denomination. When satan was looking for workers, he must have chosen you, because I see nothing but HATRED AND RIDICULE THE NAME OF GOD. You all need to pray, that you will not be condemned to HELLS flames, because the course that you are on, I suggest to drink plenty of water. We need to pray for these deceived people..

These people are pathetic. They embody everything the non believing world dislikes about Christians and it is sad how much press coverage they are giving to the enemy all in the name of God…incidentally, how can God hate any of His own children? God is love and light and in Him is no darkness at all. The hearts of the Westboro church people are desparately darkened by the demonically driven heart of their leader; one can ask, “do they really know God since they display no characteristics of the Father?” I disdain to call Phelps ‘pastor’ because biblically that means shepherd. No one in their right mind would follow his ‘leadership’ because he is headed off a cliff.
There is no evidence of love in these people; they hide behind the twisted scriptures and “private” interpretation of them provided by Phelps and his offspring. I would much rather hang out with the people the Westbor-ites have targeted than to be numbered with these counterfeit christians.

      @Bible quotin’ (anything BUT)

As a Christian, I don’t identify myself with these lunatics.

As far as ‘love the sinner, hate the sin’, Jesus told us to ‘love thy neighbor as thyself’. By ‘hating’ someone, you are judging them. Their behavior is another matter. When your wife gets drunk, or husband, or whatever it is that passes for your spouse(dog?), gets drunk, and their behavior is reprehensible, do you hate them? Or just the behavior? Or the alcohol/drugs(illegal or prescribed) that caused such behavior? Jesus never said to love one’s behavior. Learn to discern.

      Exodus 23
1Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
2Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

They MAY CONSIDER themselves Christians, but according to God’s Word, they don’t fit the description. God’s word teaches us to be kind and tender-hearted. Look at their signs and what they represent….it’s all hatred. No way do they look like any Christian I know. It‘s a struggle to always do what’s right; we all sin every day of our lives but God doesn’t HATE anyone. He loves us in spite of our frailties and shortcomings. He is constantly drawing us back to Him. Whitney Houston was ill, and somehow I believe God takes that into consideration. No one knows what her last moments were like. Maybe she made peace with her Creator. It’s not for any mortal to know. God is the Judge, not these evil people who despicably discredit the true love of God.

I agree, the Bible states this is correct and even names the place they will go, it is called HELL-

      All from Matthew chapter 7.
Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

This “church” is revealed by Gods word:

      Matthew 7:15-20
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

It is just amazing that this kind of hate and having to act it out is what some people live for and participate in. Just unbelievable.

I‘ve said this a thousand times and I’ll say it again. WBC is not a Christian church. They are all lawyers that make their money by ******* people off, causing them to act out and then they sue. The church is just a front to allow them to avoid taxes and gain other rights they normally wouldn’t if they acted as your average citizen. Stop believing they are Christians, because they are the furthest thing from it.

The only reason to picket a funeral is for publicity. It is an act that is devoid of compassion, sympathy, or any kind of etiquette – even for those you oppose. You’d think folks in Kansas would have better manners

    I rest my case.

But seriously, though not all religious people are this way, this is what can lead to hyper-dogma. I’m amazed that they could love this god who hates, maims, and kills so many people in the world. They must hate these people to, then. They are a fascinating study.

Why don’t you add to that list all those whose lives God has blessed? Instead of focusing on the consequences that men have brought upon themselves, why not on those that the Lord has blessed? He is not just a wrathful God, he is also a loving God to those that diligently seek him.

KAdams. . . . I was talking about their [Westboro Baptist Church] idea of who they believe their god to be. I don’t see how someone would be all for that type of deity who is apparently giddy at the sight of anyone not “Westboro Baptists saved” being killed.

I know that many christians are not like them, and choose to focus on the positive aspects of their religion. But when “someone’s life is changed“ or a group ”helps out those in need”, I see no reason to lay it in the lap of anyone other than the people who acted, personally. Even if they did this out of an obligation or “love of god”, it was still them who got up that morning and made a choice to change either THEIR life, or the life of another.

      To that, . . . . it is a good aspect.

You must repent your sins directly to Christ Jesus to be saved from them, God will forgive, forget if you will. Wait not until judgement day, by then it’s too late, therefore, settle out of court, come to Christ now.

Are you saved? If you were to die today, will you go to Heaven?

      @DEAVONRYE

I don’t believe he was asking anyone to join a church. He’s trying to get them saved. You will answer for your sins one day my friend. It‘s not fear but compassion that he’s expressing to you.

If God was compassionate enough to die for your sins and mine, it’s a fearful thing to spit in His face in unbelief!

I haven’t “spit in anyone’s face”. That person would have to come to me personally for me to do that. Even then, it isn’t in me to do that.

Rejecting what people SAY some deity is going to do is different then “spitting in an unknown deities . . . ‘face’. . . “, assuming it had a “face” to actually spit on. I can tell you that the aspect of FEAR is definitely one of the main factors in people “getting saved” [and a person actually is being saved FROM the very entity that will torture them in hell, if they do not accept it]. I know you will say, “no, you through yourself into hell” [or something along those lines], but that is an absurd comment that some christians make.

Now, THIS story is about the issue of Westboro Baptist Church. For the most part, they aren’t far off from some of the more evangelic denominations. They get a lot of attention because they use their signs, bring them out at funerals, and say that “god hates _______”. Fill in the blank. It isn’t out of the question for the biblical god to “hate someone”. They just go to that “in your face” type of shock value that other churches don’t, . . . but it is still the same “fear of hell”.

It’s not christian. The fact that you would even ask that is a bit puzzling. I’ll assume that was a hypothetical question. These people are a crazy left wing cult. They are satanic in nature and completely go against God’s commandments and the doctrine of Jesus Christ and His apostles.

The are not Christians in my opinion. Their behavior does not in any way depict Christianity. It isn’t the first time that people who called themselves Christians utterly failed to live up to the name, but they so badly portray Christians that I sometimes wonder if they aren’t left wingers in disguise whose goal is to taint the name and marginalize Christians who have legitimate concerns and valid opinions based on knowledge about some of the social issues in our country at the moment. Frankly, I wish they would sit down and be quiet. They’re not helping anybody. They serve only themselves.

The only thing I know is that the group is against same-sex marriage and the leader of the church was apart of the Civil Rights movement. What I was trying to say is that church paints an ugly picture of the Christian religion. A good example will be Islamic terrorist groups who paint an ugly picture of Islam. I know a lot of the Christian faith. There are good Christians and there are bad Christians. Christians need to stand up to these butt clowns!

They’re not far right… they’re Democrats. These people aren’t even Christian. They‘re a hate group that’s out there to foster just that kind of feeling towards Christians. They want people to hate all Christians so they do this so that they can get small minded, under educated people to paint all Christians with that same broad brush.
They IN NO WAY preach what I believe. Love the sinner, hate the sin. Love your enemy, pray for those that spitefully use you.
I’ve been praying for these people and their children for years. My heart grieves over the hatred that is being instilled in those little ones. And that‘s where they’re gonna get nailed, I believe ( my opinion of course ). Anyone that turns a child’s heart to hatred has damaged one of His little ones. And it would be better for them to have a millstone tied around their neck and be dropped in the sea than to harm one of his innocent ones.
Do some research, man… don’t just hate us all, because you’d be falling into the trap that they want you in..
