WH Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett Discusses the ‘Mancession’ and ‘Mancovery’ at ‘Women in the World’ Summit

Valerie Jarrett Respondes to the Mancovery and Mancession at Women in the World Summit

Leaders and activists from fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg to former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright took part in the third annual Women in the World summit held this past week in New York City. Hosted by Newsweek and the Daily Beast, conference topics included “Forced Marriage: Are Mothers to Blame?,“ ”Africa: A Few Good Men,“ and ”Burma: A Door Opens.”

Senior White House Advisor Valerie Jarret appeared to discuss what the latest research reveals about the role and promise of women in the economic recovery, which apparently is in response to the “Mancession.”

After her introduction, where the audience was reminded, “Remember, this is the person who, with her fervent support and guidance, once helped a certain community organizer in Chicago blossom into the leader of a community of more than 300 million Americans,” Jarrett discussed the “Mancession” and “Mancovery” with moderator (and longtime friend) Mellody Hobson.

Jarrett’s began with the reminder that, “this was the worst economic crisis in the United States [since] the Great Depression,” but that we are on the road to recovery.  She continued by noting that, with the end of the Recovery Act, public sector jobs that are held disproportionately by women are beginning to see more and more layoffs.  “[This] is why the president was so adamant that we should have passed the American Jobs Act last fall, because in there would have been jobs not just for teachers but firefighters, policemen, first-responders, important jobs…”

For those who don’t remember who exactly Valerie Jarrett is, The Weekly Standard’s Matthew Continetti has labeled this senior adviser “The Worst White House Aide.”  He elaborated by saying:

[Jarrett's] fingerprints are on every blunder and boo-boo the White House has ever made. She bragged to a conference of leftwing bloggers that she had hired noted environmentalist and 9/11 Truther Van Jones, later forced to resign. She campaigned extensively for Obama to travel to Copenhagen and make the case for holding the 2016 summer games in Chicago before the International Olympic Committee. Obama took the trip; the IOC chose Rio. During this time Jarrett met with George Kaiser, the Obama bundler and investor whose solar-panel manufacturer Solyndra was up for a huge loan guarantee. Jarrett, according to government documents, was warned about Solyndra’s shaky finances on the eve of the president’s visit to the company’s facility in Fremont, California. Obama went anyway.

      I guess the Blaze hesitated to post this news because it reminds people of the 8 million jobs that were lost because of Bush policies (that’s almost 5% of the US population). But now we’ve had 24 straight months of growth after the switching gears, the stimulus and moving away from Bush’s policies.

      Thank you Blaze for pointing out how far we’ve come from the Bush economic depression. You’re awesome IMO.

      More lies from “JZS”. Most jobs were lost under President Marxist and not Bush (who was a Progressive anyway). JZS has fallen under the spell of his own propaganda that Bush did it all.

      Furthermore, the rate of “job growth” for the last 39 months (since Barry started dismantling the US) has been LESS than the job growth rate simply to keep up with population growth. Jobs have NOT kept up with population so the true unemployment rate continues to soar. Only changing the method “counting” the unemployed and using such garbage as “saved or created” allows the govt to publish lies with a straight face.

      Oh, and people like “JZS” that swallow all of it.

      JZS, why do you feel such a compulsion to lie? You know darn well that the economy started to nosedive when democRats took over the House and took a swiftier downturn when the FF/FM (a brain child of the same) house of cards forced a market collapse–which Bush saw coming 2 years prior but his attempts to reign in were blocked by the “compassionate” ones.

      TheBurningTruth, Bush was a “Progressive anyway?“ In what way was Bush a ”progressive?” BurningTruth, I think you have burned out. If you call a Bush a progressive, then who would you call a “conservative?” Rush Limbaugh? I‘d respond but I don’t think you quite have it together.

      Twobyfour when you say, “his attempts to reign in were blocked by the “compassionate” ones.” Are you talking about the bailout of banks under Bush? They weren’t blocked.

      And talking about the job growth level not being enough to even keep up with the population growth?

      Actually, IMHBLO, the communist democrats seem to be demonstrating a self destructive behavior most likely born out of feelings of inadequacy or self loathing. This “IS” a well known and fairly well understood psychological disorder that can lead to depression.

      The signs are ALL there. Clinical diagnosis is all that is lacking.

      This kind of mental disorder doesn’t necessarily manifest itself outwardly in obviously disturbed behaviors but taken over time as a collection of actions demonstrates a self destructive tendency. Some times affecting others. In this case, it would seem Ms. Jarrett “IS” the Ice burg and America “IS” her Titanic.

    I honestly was curious. I didn‘t know what a ’mancession and/or mancovery’ meant. Frankly, I still don’t. No, I did not watch any of the video. I prefer to remain calm. lol

    I’m single. By choice. I figure I’ve got my hands full preparing for what is to come for my kids (and their kids) and myself. Why lump some guy into the picture? I don’t have enough water stored for that! {Technically, you could insert “woman” vs guy and still the song remains the same…}

    So, was this a meeting of those who think they are great minds?

    Better get your facts straight Ms. Jarrod.

    Valerie’s spinning … unemployment didn’t rise the last 6 months of the Bush administration because of Bush … it increased because the Democrats had majority control in Congress during Bush’s last 2 years in office. Congress controls the purse strings … not the president. Unemployment was at 4.6% when they took over Congress in Jan 2007 and was 9.9% at the end of 2008.
