What Do You Get When You Turn 9-9-9 Upside Down? Bachmann Pokes Fun At Cain’s Plan

What Do You Get When You Turn 9 9 9 Upside Down? Bachmann Pokes Fun At Cains Plan

Brining some needed levity to a rather tame GOP presidential debate, Michele Bachmann poked fun at Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan, saying that “the devil’s in the details.” An obvious quip that, when turned on its head, 9-9-9 is actually 6-6-6 — the sign of Satan.

Bachmann also said Cain‘s proposal isn’t a jobs plan, but rather a tax plan.

Extremely disappointed in Bachmann. I agree–with that little “quip” she sounded just like a liberal.

Debate the topics and rise above this petty nonsense–or get out of the kitchen because obviously the heat’s too hot for you!

Wow. I thought Michelle was better than this.

Oh well–just another politician, I guess. Very sad.

Me too. I respected this congresswoman, but to denigrate Cain’s plan, without coming up with a plan of her own, is awful. Just about everyone agrees that the tax code needs to be redone, and with every tax code, future liberal congresses can abuse the system, but it still needs to be done. What is your plan Michelle? Very disappointed indeed.

Maybe instead of posting a stupid story blaze, you should run the one about Ron Paul catching Cain in a lie. Or how Cain said our economy was in great shape 2 weeks before the crash. But your right, 666 is much more informative.

People have been sucked into the lie that we need to get either the poor or the rich to start “paying their fair share” That is the lie they want you to believe. Why is anyone paying anyone’s “share” Ron Paul when asked what he thought about half of the citizens not paying taxes said “we’re halfway there!” It’s not about trying to get the poor to start paying taxes, it’s about getting rid of taxation altogether. If we just cut our spending to 2000 levels, we can do it and balance the budget. Ron Paul 2012

Obama said he would not raise taxes on people under 250,000 , well guess what: APRIL FOOL’S!!! Because that was the day in 2009 he snuck in a bunch of new taxes most people didn’t even notice because the current tax code is not transparent.

Cain has his faults, but him being associated with the Federal Reserve is not one of them. This is not to say that the Federal Reserve system should have ever been started. @KMiller:

Face it. Cain is an insider, and he’s playing the game.

He was a Fed chairman. That means he knows a) who the players are, and b) how the game is played.

In 2008, mere days before Lehman went down the toilet, he was cheerleading! “Nothing bad is going to happen!” (I paraphrase, but you can find the article he wrote yourself.)

      Then, BOOM.

      The man is:
      a) ignorant (nope — Fed chairman, in the know,)
      b) stupid (warmer, but still no cigar — he’s obviously highly intelligent,)
      c) part of the problem (we have a winner!).

I don’t like it. Not one bit.

It was definitely childish on B’s part to say that same for Hunstmans comment. For those who say whats to stop them raising taxes…the 9 9 9 plan would be transparent, the left would be unable to raise taxes on the rich without raising it on the poor also. No politician would be able to raise this without everyone knowing and everyone voting them out. In regards to this being a 27% increase in taxation no no it wouldn’t. Say an item costs $100 currently to make ($50 in labor and $50 in goods) with this tax rate you get 26% savings (corporate tax down from 35 to 9) the labor cost would remain the same or go down (the same if they give there peeps a raise to compensate for the 15% in taxes the corporation is currently paying for that employee if they give the employee a raise to compensate for that then guess what you wont notice that 9%income tax if your pay goes up 7 to 15%) anyway I digress, so that item goes from being $100 to $74 then you take on 9% of that and your looking at about $81 after the plan for that $100 item. And that’s a simplistic view if you tack in the savings their supplier is having as well your looking at closer to $75 for that item. Someone with a better mathematical and economical mind then mine could probably explain this to exact numbers.

For those of you that believe paying taxes is Constitutional, you need to read history a little better. I’ll help. The 16th amendment was not properly ratified. In order for congress to pass an amendment to the Constitution, they need the amendment worded “word for word” by the states. More than the needed states to pass this amendment were not worded correctly. However, this is the only time, in the history of our country, that congress allowed an amendment to pass without being correctly ratified.
Look this up. Please, enlighten yourselves.

Also, don’t forget: it costs American taxpayers and corporations hundreds of billions of dollars in time and labor every year just to fill out tax forms. Then there’s the cost of operating the IRS. Throwing out the tax code and establishing the 9-9-9 plan will allow us to lay off nearly all of the 100,000+ people who works at the IRS (allowing them to move on to a productive job), thus saving taxpayers billions, and it will allow corporations and individuals to save many more billions by not having to spend nearly as much time and resources doing taxes.

And with a widened tax base, the rate can be lower (hence the 9%). AND the sales tax does not apply to used goods. So people will be able to leverage thriftiness to save more money.

I agree. i would really like to hear Bachman’s tax plan. if she even has a plan at all. just like the other candidates. yes cain’s plan is impossible perhaps however it is what we need. a drastic change to our tax code. flat tax or fair tax locked in at a low rate. cain at least has numbers. perry bachman romney santorum have no solutions it will be more of bush and obama policies with the tax code nothing permanent. look american people here it is all the candidates tear each other up and hurt their own chances of beating obama. obama will win reelection if the repub candidates keep this up. they are digging their own graves each debate. exposing their weaknesses for the dems and liberals to expand on later once there is a nominated person.
you could ask most of these candidates a question and they answer it like obama does. except for cain and gingrich. how much should an american pay in taxes for every dollar earned. romney?perry?bachman?obama?santorum? how much easy question folks lets be real. we need a amendment to change the code for good. why do we continue to reduce taxes one year increase the next year . on and on . capital gains up or down ?? what should it be 10 >20>30 ???? is it so drastic have we all become zombies to its to difficult to change so lets tinker the tax brackets for a couple of years. is it too big too fail?? same problem we need a solution and it needs to be permanent not temporary.

Our military has a habit of paying the “bad guys” off. That money, our taxes, is not for them to pay people off. It’s meant to be used in the defense of our country. If we limit how much money they receive, and we place sanctions on what it can be used for, we can stop the abusive money spending.

      http://www.moneynews.com/StreetTalk/Laffer-Cain-tax-plan/2011/10/19/id/414998?s=al&promo_code=D49D-1

Economist and former Reagan adviser Arthur Laffer says Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 tax plan is a good one.

“(The) plan was designed to be what economists call ‘static revenue neutral,’ which means that if people didn’t change what they do under his plan, total tax revenues would be the same as they are under our current tax code,” Laffer writes in The Wall Street Journal, adding that he believes that with the boost Cain’s plan would give to economic growth it would bring in even more revenue than expected.

“Once the dynamics take hold, many of those below the poverty line will find good jobs and thus will rise above the poverty line and start paying taxes,” says Laffer.

But seriously folks, do you want a President whose plan for the economy is 666? That’s the mark of the Devil. Maybe he’s the anti-Christ? Or may he has an incompetent election team that tells him to say really stupid stuff about race and the economy?

And seriously, he wants to raise your – meaning the average Americans – sales tax to 9%, and lowering the incoming tax of the billionaires TO 9%.

Please. There’s a much higher hidden sales tax already in place. Do you think that corporations actually pony up those high taxes? No. They pass it on to the consumer.

Raising taxes on corporations only raises taxes on the consumer. It spreads pain from the bottom up starting with the people who spend a higher percentage of their income on necessities.

She made a joke, alright you dummies with no sense of humor? The devil really is in the details because 9-9-9 will be exploited by the left at their first opportunity. Santorum had it right: Does anyone really believe the income tax will stay at 9%? Maybe with a Republican, but not with any future liberal congress and president. No, the answer is a national sales tax, but only after we abolish the income tax. Ron Paul has that right and Cain has been exposed as a Fed insider.

I’m amazed that on a so-called conservative website, there are so many people who forget Congressman Bachmann’s contributions and dismiss her as a candidate. “I love Michele Bachmann, but I could never vote for her for President.” Why, you fool? I‘m sure you’ll cheerfully vote for someone like Romney or Perry who stand for absolutely nothing and will bow out of the Obamacare fight at the first sign of resistance from the left and the media. I don’t even trust Cain to not bend on Obamacare. The only people I actually trust to stand up and fight to repeal Obamacare are Paul, Bachmann and Santorum. I fear that the rest will stab us conservatives in the back like Boehner and Cantor have done.

10% flat tax across the board.
      $20k a year or $20 mil a year, it doesn’t matter, it’s 10%
No refunds, no exemptions just 10%.
Tax code is only 1 paragraph long. How much did you make? send in 10%]

I wish we had the guts to pass such a tax law. And of course enough politicians that set aside their political plans on how to abuse tax money to their benefit, to support the 10% flat rate.

But, this is just wishful thinking for now.

Too many poor voters would bitch that they have to actually pay their fair share of taxes and too many politicians would look at it as losing political leverage.

She is right, 999 is a horrid idea, that is like 9-18-0, all the last will be passed on to consumers, this is like a flat 27% tax rate, how many of you pay 27% taxes now? It should be 10-0-0 or 0-10-0, anything else is to damn high.]

You have no clue what you are talking about.

Here is the plan, contrary to your ramblings.

9% flat tax for individuals (less tax than most are currently paying, unless you pay no tax, in which case it is time you pay a fair share)
9% flat tax for businesses (less than currently paying, savings passed on to individuals and or reivested back into the business)
9% national tax. Businesses collect this, they do not pay more. Therefore, no additional expenses to pass on to anyone. Buyers pay more, but they pay more only as they buy more.

Is this plan my ideal? Hell no. My ideal is one flat tax rate of 10% for everyone, end of story. However, this plan will both help the economy and lower the taxes for most workers and certainly make the taxes more fair for others.

Ron Paul has been invited on Bloomberg and the other financial channels to talk about economic and monetary policy, more than ALL of these other clowns COMBINED. He left more economic knowledge in the toilet this morning, than these other actors could muster up in a lifetime.

He is a GIANT among mental midgets.
Newt is quick, but he’s also a dirty insider, who already had a failed “Contract with America” which turned out to be just more of the same BS. He also has a TON of baggage like leaving his wife with cancer for another woman. Not to mention he’s a johnny come lately to the “Federal Reserve issue.”
Perry can’t even PRONOUNCE Keynesian economics, much less understand the difference between it and the Austrian School.
Cain, thinks a Burger King value menu approach will get people excited, but his plan is just more rhetoric, and a pipeline for a value added tax. Plus he lied about the “Federal Reserve Audit” remarks.
Bachmann has always been a birdbrain. She can’t even rip off Ron Paul competently.
Romney, has flip flopped so many times, he doesn‘t know if he’s a pancake or a politician.
      Santorum, isn’t even worth keystrokes.
      Neither is Huntsman.

THE WHOLE REASON RON PAUL GOT INTO POLITICS WAS BECAUSE NIXON DECOUPLED THE DOLLAR FROM GOLD, AND HE KNEW ALL THE WAY BACK THEN THAT THERE WAS GOING TO BE ECONOMIC TROUBLE.

It was the number 6, three times, three sixes in a row. It does not represent six hundred sixty and six but rather 6 followed by 6 followed by 6. The number of God is 7, which represents wholeness, or completeness or a general Godly nature. The number 6 represents the cheap substitute that is not quite there yet. In other words it represents worldy man, man’s way, or the natural man. And natural man is an enemy to God. God commands to put off the natural man and work towards becoming a Godly man. Therefore, if any man is an enemy of God, then he can be represented by the number 6, or 666 for added emphasis.

Mr. Cain openly lied or jumped around what he said: if you are calling for an audit of the Fed, you need to call them to gain understanding, essentially you are ignorant.

To you, Sovereign Grand Inspectors General (of the 33rd degree), we say this, that you may repeat it to the brethren of the 32nd , 31st and 30th degrees – The Masonic Religion should be , by all of us initiates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the Luciferian doctrine.

Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay is also God. For the eternal law is that there is no light without shade, no beauty without ugliness, no white without black, for the absolute can only exist as two Gods: darkness being necessary to light to serve as its foil as the pedestal is necessary to the statue, and the brake to the locomotive.

In analogical and universal dynamics one can only lean on that which will resist. Thus the universe is balanced by two forces which maintain its equilibrium, the force of attraction and that of repulsion These two forces exist in physics, philosophy and religion. And the scientific reality of the divine dualism is demonstrated by the

How did I know you were a Ron supporter before the last paragraph. LOL. There is no way Ron will ever be president. That is a reality that you need to deal with. Once you have accepted that reality, then we can talk about who I picked and why I picked them.

Bachman is completely right. Check out the Op Ed in the NY times today regarding 999. This plan is just as they say in the software world VAPORWARE!]

All political “plans” are vaporware until implemented. There is nothing preventing implimentation that cannot be over-come. It is something that can be accomplished.

You have a better plan? Regardless of the details, it is still vaporware until if and when it gets implemented.

And Bachman having NO PLAN is surely guaranteed vaporware. Even if her no plan gets implimented we end up with NOTHING.

I like Michelle, but I don‘t think that’s the thing to say publicly or privately. This just gives smell to the pile, in my opinion.

She was a real viper tonight. Slamming Cain…then verbally kicking Rick Perry in the nads. Newt had the best lines as usual. Throw Frank & Dodd in prison.

I agree. Frank was the jerk in 2006 that said Fannie and Freddie were just fine and blocked a bill to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

You’re right Axel, she should be debate issues of substance like whether Obama has a birth certificate or if he is a muslim or how big his wifes butt is whether he can throw a baseball correctly, like a good tea partier.

Michele is a real tea party person and michele knows her stuff. She did well in today’s debates and I would expect her numbers to rise. I like Michele because she says it like it is. I guess it is Okay for Cain to be a supposed straight shooter but not Michele. So only men are allowed to be direct and women have to be meek and mild?
