Didn’t you know? Mitt Romney is an avid “Twilight” reader and a “South Park” fan. Oh, and he thinks President Obama isn’t doing all that well.
On NBC’s “Today,” Mitt Romney didn‘t have any kind words when it came to discussing Barack Obama’s presidency. When asked to assess the current commander-in-chief, Romney said:
“He’s been one of the most ineffective presidents at the job at hand that I’ve ever seen. The number one issue he faced walking in the door was an economy in fast decline. He didn’t cause it, but he made things worse.”

Posted on June 1, 2011 at 8:28amI will not vote for Mitt in the primaries. I don’t think he will get the nomination. If the MSM says he is leading in the Polls right now don’t beleive it. The MSM will push Romney on us. Romney v. Obama= Obama for another 4 years. Don’t be fooled.

Obama and Romney in a debate, well i did model my health care based on yours. enough said, obummer for another 4 years. After all whats the difference. We need someone the opposite of BO. I do like Sarah at least she speaks American and i beleive she truly Loves this Country. I also like Ron Paul bring the troops home and cut the spending. Others won‘t run because they don’t want to take on the first Black President. that would be Racist.

Posted on June 1, 2011 at 8:02amIf you can‘t see we’re all being set-up, or that George Soros is trying to steal the election like he and his minions did in 2008 by limiting us to a choice between his two handpicked candidates–Progressive Heavy D or Progressive Lite R–there’s no hope for this country whatsoever.
Voting R because it‘s an R is just as ignorant and uninformed as voting D because it’s a D.
What made America great wasn’t following, it was, and is, leading. Thinking outside the box. Rejecting the evil, even if an R follows the last name.
Geez…the two parties are owned. They are, in effect, one party–the Soros Progressive Global party and until enough of us refuse to buy into this crap, or accept whatever the Progressive Republican Establishment wants to shove down our throats, NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, is going to change, especially the road to ruin this country is presently on.

He would even lose in UT to Romney where he was governor. Now THERE’s a Obama-light!
There is always a lot of Romney bashing on here. I have not decided he’s my choice at this point. I’m still looking at the field, realizing some I might be interested are not running. I have been doing research on Romney and trying to fairly understand all of the drive-by slams and labels for Romney. Posted on June 1, 2011 at 8:15amOh, please, that “no third party” fear has been pushed ever since the scare was put into both the Democratic and Republican Progressive establishment by Ross Perot. Yes, the Progressive establishments of both parties are scared to death that a true third party might emerge to challenge them in their game of playing one against the other to keep us all distracted, and thus asleep at the wheel.
I’m sick of fear used as a tool, like a hotshot, to herd us all like cattle in whatever direction the Progressives of both parties need us to go. Never have so many been so disillusioned with government.
A third party could definitely work, but not if you‘re all continually responding to the hotshot fear that’s worked so well for the Progressives of both parties in the past. All those Progressives of both parties want is to keep the status quo, THEIR STATUS QUO, intact. The rest of us can just eat cake, I guess, huh?
Grow a pair for God’s sake.

Posted on June 1, 2011 at 9:35amI am NOT a libertarian as are Paul and Johnson. I do agree with a number of their views but strongly disagree with others of theirs. A major problem with them………in REAL life, I see it extremely unlikely that they could get elected. I do, however, hope that their strong points are given a higher platform! I enjoyed hearing more from both of them at the FOX debate. However, I would only support them IF they were to win the GOP.
I am NOT a progressive! I strongly disagree that a 3rd party would be “the ticket”! We canNOT afford to experiment with the 3rd party when we HAVE to get this radical ideology out of the WH and in control of our country! I am realist!
Getting rid of the FED, DOE, etc., etc. will take the House and Senate as well. I‘m all for getting this out of control Federal gov’t. under control……….and power back to the states!!

But……..the fact is, he did not win much of anything the last time. I truly do hope some of his ideas are brought to fruition.
In the meantime, I’m not buying the MSM prop that the 70-page MA healthcare (supported by a large % of MA) is the pathway to socialized medicine that the 2000 page Obamacare is. From many on the left……..they WANT the single payer (socialized) healthcare. It is set up to eventually get there! It simply is NOT true. Posted on June 1, 2011 at 3:29pmSo many Blaze posters buy into the cult of personality candidates pushed by Fox News and talk radio and then consider themselves to be good conservatives. But if they would research true conservativism in America and study the foreign policies of the Founding Fathers they would learn that foreign aggression is contrary to conservatism (not to mention Christianity).
Report Post »How can you disagree with George Washington or Thomas Jefferson who espoused “Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations – entangling alliances with none”.? The entire middle east (including Israel) would be better off if we had never become entangled in their affairs. We also would be better off financially and in the eyes of the world (not to mention the tens of thousands of lives lost due to our interventions).
The cult of personality candidates I referred to (Romney, Cain, Palin, Bachmann, Gingrich, etc. etc.) all have one thing in common – they support an aggressive foreign policy because it is easy to stir up emotions, fear and anger towards foreigners and to rally the fearful voters behind them in the name of “patriotism”. True patriotism isn’t fearful, angry chest-thumping, it is adhering to the Judeo-Christian principles that made America great. These candidates are even willing to violate the Constitution in order to “keep us safe”. In reality no foreign nation is a real threat to us here. In fact if we would follow Jeffersons advice the hostility towards us would be non-existent.

Are you kidding me? Ron Paul has been speaking out in Congress against this bloated, un-constitutional system for 25 years consistently. If you mean that he’s a wimp because he supports a non-aggressive foreign policy, then I guess that would make our Founding Fathers (and our saviour Jesus Christ) wimps because I’m pretty confident in saying that none of them would support wars of aggression. Please read this link and tell me what you disagree with –

Report Post »Ebbertron
Posted on June 1, 2011 at 8:42amthe thing you have to understand about Romneycare (and the thing romney stands behind) is that it was a STATE’s idea, and a STATE’s healthcare deal. No where does Romney advocate a single payer, national system.
Secondly, Romney paid for Romneycare using EXISTING FUNDS, not by mortgaging his grandchildren.
Third, Romneycare went to pot AFTER Romney left (who was in charge then……?)
Finally to those calling him an “establishment republican” take a look around, who is talking about him? the left is busy trying to co-opt him over Romneycare (because they know how UNPOPULAR their own healthcare plans are) and the mainstream right has all but abandoned him. Meanwhile he raised over 25 million dollars in a single day.
The fact is, you put those two on a stage together and there is no contest, Obama gets manhandled by someone who knows what they’re doing.
If Romney gets the nomination you wont vote for him? seriously? you’d rather let Obama win a second term? if that happens, I dont think we’ll see a 2016 election.

No, seriously, I won’t vote for Romney. Soros’s mainstream media is giving him face-time, space in newspapers for his “opinion”, and no one is attacking him. The establishment right is oh-so-silent on him, since it’s his “turn” and all.
And Soros will use the “anybody but Obama” line to sell him to us.
So, you want to vote for the man Soros chooses to lead us? Seriously? Want to keep falling for the same old game, one side against the other, when both sides work for the enemies of America?
How about doing what Beck recommended–do your own research for a change. I did. And both parties are owned. But don’t take my word for it…

Those who insist that Romney gave Obama the idea do not really understand the picture.
At least with Romney we shouldn’t expect family drama, or Israel bashing, or sex scandals, or a weakening of our relationship with the UK, or a continued downward spiral of the economy, among other things. I‘m not saying I’m for sure going to vote for Romney. He is hands-down the grand champion loser of all times in world history. Even great men of evil like Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin at least garnered SOME respect at some point. While evil, these two came nowhere near the bumbling incompetence and outright moronic farce that is our liar in chief. He has broken almost every single campaign promise he ever made. To call him a liar is an understatement so grotesque it should be punishable by death. He repeatedly promised transparency. The only transparent thing about him is the voracity of his lies and corruption. It’s crystal clear to anyone with two brain cells to rub together. His contempt for the United States and Americans is just a transparent. He openly disdains us. To call his foreign policy a failure is like calling ObamaCare a success. His friends and supporters are lining up to get waivers from the destructive apocalypse that is ObamaCare.
Jimmy Carter’s presidency was a train wreck that derailed America. It took two terms of Reagan to correct it. The top three finalists in the running for worst president ever were Carter, George W. Bush, and Obama. Obama has already won the title.

i’ve listened to pawlenty, and he would also be great on the ticket. so many to choose from…
too bad the Republicans cant say: this is my ticket:
Romney, Palin, Michelle Bach, Christie, Rubio, West, Cain, Pawlenty: “The Dream Ticket” woohoo!!

Posted on June 1, 2011 at 3:07amWell, MIKEYYY, hopefully he will not get the nomination. The field is still wide-open and there are plenty of candidates who have been doing the hard work for the last 3 years–putting their careers (and lives!) on the line trying to battle corruption and dishonesty in government –and get the word out about the grave dangers this country is facing. We know what they believe.
Romney? Just a hand-shaking, presidential looking, say-what-they-want-to-hear-politician. Is that ‘blurb’ all the news they could muster about Romney? There are braver men and women who have been saying much more for years now. WE have all been saying much more. Look at the platform he has and could have been using all this time. Besides, Obama is not going to play on Romney’s turf, he’s not going to play issues and logic and bland statements. Romney doesn’t stand a chance against Obama. He represents what undecided voters voted against in 2008.

Posted on June 1, 2011 at 6:37am@GodLovinMama: 2 things about your comment. First, have you never changed your mind about anything? You said “He WAS pro choice, he WAS pro-gay”. If he’s not now, isn’t that a good thing? And if that’s true, isn’t it ok for someone to change their minds, especially if they see the error of their ways? I‘m not at all saying that’s the case, I don’t know. What I am saying is, if it is true, (that he has seen the error of his ways), why is it not a good thing that he has corrected that?
Report Post »2ndly—the biggest issue on our plate as a nation is the economy. We need a guy that can turn the thing around and he’s one of the best people to do it–based on his track record with Massachusetts budget pre and post Romney and the Salt Lake Games. So even if he was STILL pro choice and pro gay, he’s probably not going to be doing much in the way of making those issues worse than they are now–(abortion is already legal and gays are already marrying in several states). It’d be one thing to have a guy who was ultra pro-choice in a land where abortion was illegal and he was all about setting his agenda. Romney is not about setting a pro choice, pro gay agenda–EVEN IF HE WAS STILL pro choice and pro gay.

Posted on June 1, 2011 at 8:07am@JJCoolay D. Haven’t you ever been lied to by a polititian before? They tell you what they think YOU want to hear to get YOUR vote. Yea there are exceptions to the rule but remember they are exceptions not the norm and very few and far between if it is possible at all. We have a problem with Obamacare, Romney likes Romneycare. We have a problem with the liberal/progressive agenda which is big government and the womb to tomb attitude. Liberal/progressives think in a certain way: they values are different from traditional Americans. They (liberal/progressives) use the same words but they mean different things. How can someone hold family (parents, children, aunts, uncles etc.) values in high esteem and condon abortion or gay marriage. One contradicts the other. America is in great peril and we cannot afford to be nieve about human nature. This may be our last election.

Ron Paul never lied.
Romney believes the government is authority. This is my problem with most of the politicians. Gov. is not authority. People are. Gov. are servants. They are hired to fulfill job to protect the constitution. Is this too much of a challenge for them?

Posted on June 1, 2011 at 11:45amMitt Romney is one of the most qualified and competent people to run for the POTUS in over 150 years. With the economy and all of the problems facing our country he is a very ideal fit to be our next president. Mitt has spent his entire lifetime facing big challenges head on and finding solutions to huge problems. This is what he does and it is his passion. He is motivated to run for office not because of ego, money, fame or prestige, he is running because he feels he is the best one to solve the major problems our country is facing. If you dismiss Mitt based on what others have done I am afraid that you are making as big a mistake in dismissing him as the country did in electing Obama.
Yes I know you have been lied to by many politicians and almost always agree with that same sentiment, but in this case I think you my fellow blazers who are dismissing Mitt are dead wrong and as much as I respect most of you I do not say that lightly. Mitt is a true statesmen and he really loves our country, reveres the founding fathers and is devoted to America’s heritage and her constitution.
He never accepted a salary as Gov. of Ma and will not as POTUS as well which would make him only the 3rd in our nations history to not do so. The other 2 were George Washington and JFK. All proceeds for his books go to charity as well. The bill he did in Ma. was custom for Ma. only was constitutional and unlike Obamacare the people wanted it. It was 70 pgs compared to 2700.

Posted on June 1, 2011 at 12:09pmsorry to say that but missionarydad you must be mentally blind. Romney is a establishment tool. Socialized medicine doesn’t work. It’s simply control. Please educate your self, not in public schools. Can I force anybody to pay for health care? No. So how we the people can give right to do that if we don’t have that power in first place. We are constitutional republic, not some kingdom or democracy.

Posted on June 1, 2011 at 12:50pm@ESCAPE_FROM_SOCIALISM,
You are the one who must be mentally blind if you think Ron Paul has any chance at all of being elected POTUS. In the 2008 GOP Primaries Ron Paul did not win one single county in the primaries and out of the 600 counties that caucused he won 16 and caucuses should have really favored him by there very nature those who have the most enthusiastic supporters do well in them. Nobody in the history of the United States has ever won the Presidency having performed that terribly in a previous run. Ron Paul is not viable and furthermore go to the link I am going to give and you will see how much in line Mitt Romney was with our founding fathers with what he done in Mass. http://saywhatyoureallymean.blogspot.com/2011/05/truth-about-mandates.html
