What Is Biden Not Saying About Palin’s Claim That She Could Beat Obama?

The Vice President dropped by MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program this morning. Mika asked him about Palin’s assertion that she would win in a 2012 match up. The first half of his answer is what you might expect. But then the voluable Biden becomes, for perhaps the first time, suddenly tight-lipped.

The Hill:

Biden‘s words aren’t without grounding — at this point. A CNN poll released shortly after the election earlier in November found that Obama would best Palin in a hypothetical 2012 matchup. In that election, 52 percent of registered voters would re-elect Obama, while 44 percent would support Palin.

If Palin does run in 2012, it’s no sure thing that she would face off against Obama in the end. The Republican primary field is crowded and without any clear frontrunner, and it’s very possible she might not win the nomination.

Some of those Republican candidates’ cases against Palin will involve electability, especially since that same post-election CNN poll showed some GOP figures faring better against Obama. For instance, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) led Obama 52-44 percent in the poll, while former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) had a 50-45 percent advantage over Obama.

I still want to know what Biden really wanted to say.

What happened to Biden, did he suddenly get a realization moment where he thought man, maybe she will win, So as old Bidy knows he has a habit of putting his foot in his mouth more often that not, he backed off on that one. Sarah for 2012, yes!

I think Bidden is actually an honest guy and they want him to hide and decieve; that is why he is always having slips….he has a totally different view on how things should be run than I do, but at least it seems he wants to state what he is thinking and not hide it.

As far as Biden himself—–we are just Biden our time so we can get rid of him and Obumbler along with any other Dummycrats that don’t straighten up and start caring about jobs and the economy and less how they can keep ruining this country and stealing from the taxpayers and future generations.

Strong Defense, Respect for ALL life, Free Economy. Huckabee might be a nice guy and good to have a beer with but he will get eatten alive by the press, the liberals, and the independents who are not as strict as a preacher on God, life, drugs, gays, etc…. The Reagan coallition has to be reformed…we need moderate and conservative Democrats, moderate and conservative independents, and moderate and conservate Republicans….

Anybody could beat Obama in 2012. After two years it‘s clear he’s a joke. In two more years there wont be anyone left who wants him around, well Putin might still be grateful for him. As for Sarah, I might want her to wait ten years to run. She’s too valuable as a free agent. As soon as she runs for anything she’ll have to watch everything she says and everything she does. I‘d rather see her kickin’ ass and taking names for awhile. A baby on one hip and a gun on the other. That’s the Sarah I love.

Palin cannot win! She has been turned into a punch line outside of our conservative circle. One MUST look at and listen to what the other side is doing and saying. We cannot exclusively listen to one another because we then lose all perspective. So, I reiterate: although we admire Sarah and all she has done for our cause, she is unelectable! Please do not allow your admiration to deny reality!

Likewise, Romney cannot win! He is an empty suit. We need a real “maverick”- someone quite unlike RINO, John McCain. A Chris Christie. A Paul Ryan. An Allen West. In other words, a true American and a true leader.

It really doesn’t matter what the left thinks of Sarah Palin, they’re out to lunch. The people we have to educate are the independents in the middle. If these folks don’t start looking for substance in a candidate instead of falling for the superficial made up crap they always fall for, we will continue to get loosers like Obama and Romney. Independents could put Romney on the ticket, he’ll sell us out as fast as Obama, he’s no better.

Independents are also swayed by the media. Apparently, only “right wing extremists” such as ourselves and Commie Bastar– on the left are political junkies. The rest of America wants to be left alone- with steady employment, shelter, food, some fun and “the game” on Sundays. Not everyone is a political junkie! So yes, the media’s portrayal of Palin, or any other candidate is important. Look at how the media aided and abetted the teleprompter in chief. Had they not fawned on him, he would have been the guy who gave a good speech!

As for Paul, although he has some good ideas, the “truther” movement has tarnished him to unelectable status as well. We MUST be pragmatic!

Rose is right, I fear. I was living in AK when Sarah ran. I was so glad to see Murkowski gone. And she helped sway me in the last election. But for the reasons named above, I can‘t risk my vote on anyone that won’t win.
If Biden is trying to play coy with your chances, back off. We don’t really think that slip was a mistake do we? They honestly want Sarah running, the sooner the better. She can galvanize the left while popular media makes lampooning her into a national past time again. Through Propogandism masked as ‘comedy’ they will sway the ‘undecideds’ and many would-be independents.
      my two cents.

@Skwerl – the reason (as I understand it) why she resigned was due to all of the bogus ethics complaints filed against her in Alaska by Democrats. Each ethics complaint had to be investigated and thouse investigations were costing her state of Alaska a lot of money, into the millions of dollars if I recall correctly. She wanted the best for her state and to not have the taxpayers’ money going to ridiculous ethics complaints, so she resigned. I think she should have tried to stick it out a little bit longer, even go through her first full term, however I can’t fault her for her decision. She has to live with her decision and will have to answer all the questions and criticism from her opponents IF she runs. We have no clue if she’s going to run, although her speeches and appearances lately indicate she is running. IF she runs and becomes President, she will deal with a lot of the crap she did in Alaska, just on a bigger scale. She has tough skin, but she needs to make it stronger IF she wins and sits in the big chair.

What would be the punishment for a soldier if he was known to have given aid and comfort to the enemy? I’ve raised a lot of eyebrows myself the past year for using your same words.
“…You need me on that wall, you want me on that wall.” -Col Jessup

And we need some placed before that wall. I am not advocating violence against anyone, indeed, pray for the safety of our President. We -conservatives- will take full blame if he dies suspiciously. ((WATCH Soros and his goons -carefully. They know this fact.)
I am simply stating, if they ever do Impeach him… the precedents are clear. Commander in Chief is a member of the Military and treason is punishable by death.
Again, for any delusioned reader (That would be you, Obama2012), it is not the citizenry’s responsibility to execute traitors. That honor is reserved to the United States Military. ( I vote that the Army Infantry gets first dibs -I know I just opened a new can of worms, sorry Jarheads.)

Unfortunately, winning is the only thing that matters . . . . And as lofty as that may sound, losing simply is not an option at this point.

This time, the Republican nominee must actually have a fighting chance to win . . . That means they actually have to fight for us. They have to make it into the opponent’s arena, up into the ring, endure being pelted with as much liberal crap as liberals can possibly hurl, and then methodically go to work dismembering the opponent’s ideology like a warrior that turns off any memory of a mother or anything that she may have taught them about playing nice. It’s going to get ugly . . . But they set the battleground; they brought the fight. It’s their challenge to the Constitution and the Republic, not ours.

The nominee must be willing, and must be able to come out of it all with their foot on the throat of the ideology that wants to destroy us just as the “messenger” has stated it himself, of what he wishes to do to us. Remember Obama’s own words: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun” –Saturday, June 14, 2008, Wayne, PA.
