‘What Should I Do?’: Cleveland Filmmaker‘s Viral Hit Mocks Lebron James’s New Nike Ad

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Cleveland, it turns out, has some very specific ideas about what LeBron James should do.

A video making the rounds on the internet, apparently posted on YouTube by a Cleveland filmmaker, remixes James’ Nike ad in which he asks “What should I do?”

(original video plus a South Park spoof below)

The ad was a response to the backlash James provoked with his nationally televised announcement that he would sign with the Miami Heat after playing seven seasons in Cleveland.

The video portrays different Cleveland sports fans and their disgust with James.

“Boston? Game 5? We watched. You quit,” one fan says in the video, referring to last season’s 32-point loss in the playoffs.

Before tipoff against New Orleans on Friday night, James said he had seen the video.

“It was all right,” he said. “They could have done a better job.”

The video ends with a fan on the street saying “We wanted you to be who you said you’d be.”

That’s immediately followed by a recording of James saying: “I got a goal. And that‘s a huge goal and that’s to bring an NBA championship here to Cleveland, and I won’t stop ’til I get it.”

Accompanying that is an image of the iconic ad banner with James’ image and the words “We are all witnesses” on it, falling off a building.

Stop ****** on Labron, The reason he left the Cavs (and Cleveland), is the same reason reason Rush left left New York, and Glenn threatens to leave New York, TAXES. As I’m sure you all know Florida has no income tax, Ohio dose. If I remember correctly Lebron will save about 20 million dollars a year by playing in Florida. I know someone out there is going to say something about him being greedy, but it’s his money and what he dose with it and how he chooses to spend it is his own buiseness. The bottom line is that Ohio has to pay for all these “social” programs that the Dems have created over the years wile they have been in control, and who they going to get it from… THE RICH, just like the Federal Gov is trying to do.

I think there’s something to be learned here. People are always going to let us down to some degree or another. That includes loved ones. Even Jesus’ apostles abandoned him in the end. One even betrayed him. So what do you do? In the case of LJ, if you’re a true Christian, you say, ” Hey, Lebron, I love ya. Thanks for all those great moments you gave us. Wish you could have stayed, but vios con Dios my friend.” When you have this kind of godly love for people it’s very easy to forgive and forget, and this in turn shields you from hurt. Works for me and Jesus.

I country is in the toilet and they are worried about a television ad. Some people need to get real and quit living in la la land. Besides the youtube video isn’t working. No story here.

Just shows where some priorities are located anymore. As to these commercials, the youtube one has been deleted and the other from South Park should be sent down to the gators where it indeed belongs with the rest of their shows.

@ Snowleopard, South Park, while crass and not appropriate for family night, is actually a great show. The shock value brings in viewers, but the shows message is quite sound. The episodes often end with very clear, conservative points. I could go on, but I’ll start simple. 2 examples – The show where Cartman goes to jail for a hate crime against Token (season 4 episode 1) and the show where Gloria Allred fights to have Big Gay Al reinstated with the Mountain Scouts (season 5 episode 3). You can check them out at southparkstudios.com

As a fan of sports, I still truely don’t care where Lebron plays, Cleveland fans need to grow up and wuit whining. we all know the atmosphere of pro sports right now. And as for the South Park parody: it was hilarious, and a great episode, one of their best ever (and I watch them all).
