‘What the–’: Conservatives Create Viral Response to ‘WTF’ Obama Accolades Site

When the site wtfhasobamadonesofar.com began irreverently trumpeting the successes of the Obama administration, it went viral. Now a conservative group has created a response hoping to elevate a counter-message to a similar status.
The Obama accolades site, a play off the colloquial term “what the f**k?“ is popular for mocking those who accuse Obama of failing to deliver on the ”change” he promised during the campaign. To counter that, the site links to outside sources purportedly showing otherwise. Each “fact” starts with the question, “WTF Has Obama Done So Far?:
It’s catchy, and even this author found himself clicking on numerous “facts.” Understanding the sites addictive qualities but loathing its message, the group the Young Conservative Muchachos created “What the Heck Have Conservatives Done?” — a mirror image response to the WTF site:
Co-creator Tommy Swanson explains the group’s goals in an e-mail to The Blaze: change the stigma so often associated with conservatives and also educate them.
“Conservatives today often get a bad rap: like we don’t care about the poor; we’re mean; our policies don’t work,” he says. “This is all false. The record, actual hard facts, tell a different story.”
“We wanted to get that story out in a format that was short and easy to understand, but also provided links to back up our claims and help people dig deeper.”
He adds that the group wants to ingrain the catchy facts in people’s minds so they can “quickly rattle off a list of how conservatism has helped the world recently.” And they want to introduce a younger generation to resources (such as conservative think tanks) it often overlooks.
“Our plan is to use new media to create massive awareness for the conservative movement,” he says.
The group’s website tells more about the “why”:
It all started when wtfhasobamadonesofar.com went viral. The campaign gave more weight to our notion that the Left controls every corner of social media. It went uncontested—just like every other viral piece of content the Left produces. There lay our issue. There lay our opportunity.
According to Swanson, the site is just the beginning. The group is currently thinking of other ways to leverage social media to rally young conservatives.
“The overall goal is to bring conservative values to new media, and we know that one viral website isn’t going to change it all,” he says.

We are so into the personal freedom and believe what you want ethos that we forget that liberals would actually be happier as conservatives. I think the website must be pandering to their own people. Its not that Obama has not done ANYTHING! I think we can all agree that the problem conservatives have is what he HAS done. A lot of people who supported Obama when he was running, followed his platform of change without questioning what that change might be. He never gave specifics and they didn’t ask. Honestly, I see the point for the conservative site, but not the original.

The past few years were confusing to me as I saw the Repubs. and Demos. as the same ,Tax us more so they have more to spend on their pet projects.
