‘What’s Coming?’: This Is the GBTV Segment That Has Glenn Beck ‘Scared’

Glenn Becks Expert Panel Discusses Islamism, Iran & Global DangerLast night, we brought you Glenn Beck’s commentary regarding the establishment of an Islamic caliphate (something he says Islamists “are succeeding” at accomplishing).

Now, we have a report by Beck’s expert panel on radical Islam, including Retired Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, CBN News’ Erick Stakelbeck and Frank Gaffney from the Center for Security Policy. The group discussed the potential calamity and international unrest that may be coming as a result of the growing prominence of radical Islamists. And it’s a segment that Beck categorized as “scary” on Thursday morning.

The segment, called “What’s Coming?,” explored what’s occurred in the past year and what, based on the events and rhetoric we’re seeing, may be on the way. The discussion opened with what Boykin called America’s achilles heel — the nation’s dependence on foreign oil — and the dangers this weak-spot poses to the country’s survival.

“If we lose Persian Gulf oil and then if Chavez was to cut off our oil coming out of Venezuela, we could not fight — we couldn’t re-open the Persian Gulf,” Boykin said.

While this, in itself, was concerning, Stakelbeck‘s signaled warnings about Iran’s potential plans to seek the destruction of both Israel and America.

“I believe this is the year of reckoning for Iran’s nuclear weapons program,” he said. “I also believe that Iran might get this started off by instigating a proxy war on Israel’s borders.”

Later, Stakelbeck reiterated this warning and said that America, not Israel, is Iran’s main target.

“Our own Pentagon issued a report in 2010 saying that by the year 2015, Iran may have intercontinental ballistic missiles that can reach the East Coast of the United States within three years,” he said. “Those missiles will be nuclear-tipped. We are the ultimate prize. Israel is a bump in the road.”

Gaffney’s words mirrored these warnings.

“One of the things that the Iranians have repeatedly said in the person of the president is — not only do they want to wipe Israel off the map — that’s old news — but that a world without America is not only desirable, it’s achievable,” Gaffney claimed.

He continued, claiming that there is truly only be one way that such a demolition would be possible. Unfortunately, he said the method – electromagnetic pulse — is something the world has been watching Iran publicly prepare to have the capability to achieve. Back in November, Stakelbeck explained this method on the CBN News web site as follows:

A nuclear weapon detonated above the U.S. would emit powerful electromagnetic pulses, frying America’s electrical grid and shutting down necessities from cars to computers to airplanes and refrigerators.

“If you take a missile and you launch it over the United States and you detonate it with a nuclear warhead outside the atmosphere, you can crater this country,” Gaffney explained.

“I‘m with these guys that there’s a war on,” he continued, referring to his co-panelists. “I don’t know where and I don‘t know whether we’re in it — but it’s not going to be good for freedom.”

In describing the caliphate that may be forming, Boykin said that Turkey is going to be key. He said:

“What this Arab Spring…is also resulting in, is a huge power struggle that ultimately is going to bring about change in Turkey. Because Turkey wants very much to be the center of the caliphate as it is being established — as does Iran. We are going to see a substantially different turkey a year from now than we do now.”

Stakelbeck went on to claim that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is “viciously anti-Israel” and that he all-too-frequently advises President Obama on issues related to the Arab Spring. According to Stakelbeck, the Turkish leader continues to assure the president that the Islamist movements are moderate and harmless, despite their potential dangers.

Boykin, too, said that Erdogan may prove to be a problem, as he was welcomed by the Muslim Brotherhood as the new head of the Islamic world — yet another clue that the caliphate may be on the horizon.

While the segment may be horrifying and concerning to some, it provided a great deal of information, especially concerning the infiltration of Islamist influence here in America. This, of course, is a subject we’ve discussed in detail on the Blaze.

Despite these warnings, Beck had a message about faith and the way in which all Americans can help stem the impending chaos.

“I will tell you the only answer…is God. Only turning back to him, doing the right things according to him,” he said. “He is begging us ‘get behind me, just get behind me…I’ll take care of it.’ A lot of pain coming. But miracles are coming as well.”

      This is a very real threat. But if a nuke goes off in a major American city the eliet (off shore cartel bankers) will use that crisis to clamp down on the police state. In fact if that were to happen my first thought would be that elements in our government working for the eliet would have allowed that to happen. Their main focus is to shut the American people down, crash the economy and usher in a police state. Then they will work on their world government. Never let a crisis go to waste. That is a huge part of the past 11 years.

      There was a good tv show about an EMP holocaust out a few years ago called “Jericho”. Yeah, it’s Hollywooded into a “24” style weekly thriller, but it’s interesting to note how life in rural suburbia can be when zapped back into the 19th century. Worth checking out.

      Americans are too worried about Demi Moore trying to salvage her youth and some guy adopting his girlfriend than to be concerned about things such as this.
      I do fully agree that government will use attack to fully enact a police state. Sometimes I really wonder about what happened on 9/11, what did Bush really know? Why did he give contradictory statements as to when he saw the plane. It is all quite distressing.

      I used to get a lot of entertainment from all the “post-apocalyptic” style B movies, like Mad Max, years ago. But nowadays, they don’t seem quite so much fun to watch, when you consider, we could be looking at a world soon that is somewhat similar, to what has been portrayed in the movies for decades……the reality cramps are really starting to set in now…..

      I’ve been listening to you on a regular basis since the razzled 970am Tampa daze.
      A few things were puzzling then, but today one issue aches like my proctologist’s probe up my rectum.

      If, as you say, all is gloom and doom, then why do you advertise on a daily basis, that we the people must protect ourselves from the most brutal collection agency on the planet by hiring one of your sponsors, when you imply, in the end, the government will own everything anyway.

      Wouldn’t it be more prudent to pursue the argument that we the people must shut down the IRS and the concept of taxing productivity as the government’s means of generating revenue, because we the people are going to lose it all to a handful of clever lawyers who have denied us our God and our Constitution, and deemed themselves our government, if we don’t?

    Turkey? I think the Kurds would strongly object to Turkey being the center of anything!!! Half of Turkey is desired by the North East portion of Iraq and their goal is a Kurdistan! DO NOT leave this information out of these stories! As for the EMP standard vehicles you know, kick start motor cycles and stick shift auto’s can be started with their batteries fried by an EMP pulse. The loss of the electric grid is a Totally Real event and imagine with all the eletric run gas pumps and not any easy way to remove it…….Good thing my guns will be just fine from an EMP pulse and I am experienced in hitting turban weairing Jihadists at 500 yds…….:) Detonating a Nuke outside the atmosphere will totally wipe out a LOT of sattelites too…..

May we be peacemakers and be willing to be insulted, slandered, and persecuted for Your sake, knowing that our reward in heaven is great. 

      Father, as we develop these qualities by Your grace, use them as salt in the world to slow down its moral decay. Use them as light to shine Your truth, holiness, good works and the gospel to a dark, deceived, and dying world. I thank You for how You draw us to Yourself, reveal Your salvation, and bless us to become citizens of Your eternal kingdom.       Reagan assisted the Muslims in fighting each other. The thinking then was that there is not too much harm to us if the Muslim countries are kept drained of strength while fighting each other, Shia vs Sunni. Allowing them to get more powerful so they can fight us is deadly. Idiot Bush wanted to help them change to “democracy” which is lidicrous. They do not know what the word means. Obama seems to be on their side against us. The EMP nuke will kill most of us but not Obama in Air Force One which is the only airplane shielded against the EMP….there is no question about that whatsoever. If we are too timid to keep them from developing such capability, we are doomed because they will use it on us one way or another. They would dance in the streets for months if they were able to hit us with an EMP nuke and could watch us fight each other over food or water, die of thirst, starve, or die from disease. Most of our country has been dumbed down to such an extent, that they actually trust these dedicated killers.

      One of the reasons that all of this is coming is because Americans are lazy, self absorbed, mindless followers of the elite money makers. All of this catastrophe could be averted if we were to get back to our roots with Constitutional principles. Send a clear message to Isreal that they could do whatever they deem necessary to protect their country and we would stand behind their decision. The caliphate would cease to exist if we gave Isreal the ability to make their own decisions without us in the middle. Isreal could wipe out every country that surrounds them in a milisecond.       Noplace in the Bible does it name Rome as the origin of the Antichrist. Jakartaman got it right — Turkey will be the head of the Caliphate and the Mahdi (Antichrist) will come from there. All of the prophetic passages in which Christ destroys His enemies refer to Muslim nations today. Read Walid Shoebat‘s God’s War on Terror. It will change your thinking. Look at Ezekiel 38-39. These are provinces in Turkey, not Russia (as many Western teachers claim), along with Iran, Libya, Somalia and Sudan. Europe is collapsing and being destroyed from within by Muslims, and it’s happening here too. Ever heard of stealth jihad? Islam is a political, military and religious system, and its goal is to conquer the world. Even so-called Christians are joining in what they call “Chrislam.“ Do they really think the Muslims will suddenly want to ”peacefully coexist” with them? Of course they won’t. They use deception until they can destroy us, the infidels.

      As for your statement about stick shifts and kick starts will still run after an EMP. Unfortunately they will not if they have an alternator. Alternators need an external power source for them to work. Now if you have a generator on the engine then you can operate it. Because generators generate their own power. But most vehicles now days have chips to control firing sequence, advance timing and all kinds of stuff which I will not get into. EMP’s will fry these chips. So unless you have engines pre1980. They will probably not work.

      is disgusting. Only God knows when the

      to stop the hypocrisy of saying love one another,
      Give your life to God, and then spend 10 minutes
      on your radio show ripping the first lady for
      doing pushups. It ruins your message. Also
      you spoke about chivalry. What about you?

      I don’t think that an EMP would destroy batteries. Mostly unshielded electronics from what I understand. I think most pre 1974 gas and Diesles up to the mid 90′s vehicles would run fine afterwards and maybe others if shielded and not running at the time.

      Maybe you all should read Ezekiel 38 and 39, its about the Gog and Magog war thats coming, there is Russia (Rosh), Turkey (Togarmah), Persia (Iran), Ethiopia, Libya, Germany (Gomer). This is just one of three wars that are coming, the second is the kings from the east, (China). The last is armageddon when all nations come up against Israel, and lose.

The fact that she is a woman does not make her less evil. This is the same woman who hates being First Lady and did not even want to move into the White House. She has repeatedly made hateful, hypocritical, and racist remarks. She also sat in that racist church listening to Wright monger hate for 20 years. She dresses like a queen (spending wise) and flits across the world on her extensive and extravagant vacations. There is chivalry and then there is honesty in the recognition of evil.

      Rosh is not Russia. Rosh means “chief” as in chief prince of Meschech and Tubal (provinces in Turkey). Every time “rosh” is used in Scripture it means chief, as in Rosh Hashanah, the chief or first day of the year. Gomer is not Germany, it is also a province in Turkey. The kings of the east refers not to China, but the Muslim countries east of the Euphrates, numbering more than 1 billion people, from which the 200 million man army will come against Israel for the battle of Armageddon.

    Last week a nuclear reactor 90 miles from me shut down and started releasing contaminated steam.
    I sold out of IOSAT the next day. Last night I was thinking how horrible an emp would be when it comes to the our nuclear plants. I believe all of our water and soil will be contaminated like what has happened in Japan, only on a much larger scale. I am going to get much more serious about water storage. I only have enough for a week or two, and really have no idea how to protect the stored water from contamination, but do know that the lakes and rivers will probably be unusable. I am not aware of a way to filter this ffrom our water, Katadyn and Burkeys will not work.

      C. Schwehr, You are correct about the amount of radiation. I have to admit when everyone came in to buy the iosat, I pulled the last four packages from the shelf and put them on my desk for my own family and had to tell several peoplel they were not for sale before I hid them away. This shows how unprepared we truly are. I am in the “business” and still am not sure of my plans. I learn something new all the time. As for your question in another post about water, I have spoke with the Flojak company and think this is something I will be adding this product. I would be interested in your opinion on this item.

      The only preparation for an EMP is for everyone to be prepared. Once we lose our civil society, we are all doomed except for pockets of God loving or very well prepared people in isolated areas. Virtually nothing is shielded from EMP in the US. A nuke plant would shut down, as you say, because the transformers in the grid would burn out. All financial, computer, and electrical systems would be shut down with very few exceptions. I might suggest to you that if it is possible, you may have enough water if you had a deep well with a generator.

      One thing is sure, our leaders are well aware of the threat of EMP and that is why Air Force One is the only airplane with any EMP shielding. The ruling class takes care of themselves and probably has other resources to keep them and their families alive.

      Your either grossling missinformed or making stuff up.

      Air Force One is not the only aircraft with EMP shielding. Any platform capable of launching nuclear strikes is shielded. Many variation of fighter and support aircraft are also shielded, it’s a cold war thing.

      And most of the facilities that are shielded aren’t done so for the sake of an EMP, but to protect the equipment from electromagnetic radiation in general. Server farms for GOOGLE, Facebook, IBM, etc…Hospitals… Communication facilities… It’s not difficult… An ammo can will protect smaller items from an EMP….

      Also, the power grid components that will be damaged severely will only be the ones that are energized….Transformers and conduits and what not… This means they can be replaced, if not repaired, by ones sitting in storage yards. The damage to the grid will not be catastrophic, and can be repaired with relative ease… It’ll be chaotic, but they will get power back… The real damage is confined to anything that requires a computer chip, that isn’t shielded…

      If I sound like I’m not overly worried, it‘s cause I’m not. I can survive without power for a few months and not even get nervous, forever with some concern… Besides…not much to Nuke or EMP were I live…

      Don’t forget the past history of power loses in the entire northeastern seaboard due to malfunction of a single power substation, i.e. neighborhood substation. Just a few multi-KT proper altitude bursts would shut the electricty down for possibly months over the entire continent. It would truely be medieval. But alas, surely their would be a retaliatory strike, OR WOULD THERE? It would be a perfect time for the U.S citizenry to be placed under marshall control while the global elites go about restructuring the rest of the world.

      I dont get why so many Christians make these provisions for what will be the END of the age of grace. I do not want to die, but food and ammo provisions would not allow me to continue to want to live in an environment where the age of grace has departed. This surely signals the end of any decent earthly existence where hell on earth will prevail. Who wants to live a life this way and as a Christian knowing what else is coming that makes this worthwhile? Conversely, these people that survive will probably perform the last harvest, which will allow blessings. But it is going to be such a a difficult harvest. Prayers to everyone in these times.

      God ponders why we humans value our earthly lives so much knowing this is such a short time.

      The time is now for all of us to harvest this nation, both politically and morally, before the end of the age of grace. Humans control their own destiny and can prolong the inevitable.

      Water itself can not become contaminated by radiation, only the impurities in the water can. So, filtering water does help, though you have to be careful since the filter will become radio active. You can also boil the water and reclaim the steam, but again you have to be careful with what remains.

      Sounds like you live in a good place. I was not speaking about battle systems. Our battlefield systems are all shielded from EMP, so you are correct. A metal case can be used as a faraday shield IF it is grounded properly. The problem I see is with computer systems and other electronic equipment connected by wires. Power transformers connected to wires will also be destroyed. The short pulse (50000 V) of the EMP takes out the electronics and the long pulse of the EMP which lasts for minutes can send more than 4000 amps dc into wiring and transformers. This will burn out the transformers and most of wiring. Many of these transformers are custom made in other countries and take 1-2 years to get. If millions of computers and other electronics go down, there are not enough repair techs and parts to fix the problem. It will take 1-2 years to get things back and most people would starve, die of thirst, or be killed by gangs stealing food and water by then.

Extra soap, tooth paste, shampoo. Bleach to disinfect. Firewood, or a kerosene heater. Canning supplies. Garden supplies and seeds. Books on defending a home like “Holding Your Own”, camping supplies…..good whiskey!

    Glenn, thank you for this panel. They have been heroic in their efforts to warn Americans about Islam and the coming Caliphate. Shariah: The Threat to America, the book by Boykin and Gaffney, should be read by every American. Stakelbeck’s book, The Terrorist Next Door is also very good. The Caliphate is the greatest danger in the world, and it is coming quickly. It didn’t begin with Tunisia and Egypt either, but with Iraq and Afghanistan. And when you try to warn people about this threat, they look at you like you are crazy. If America doesn’t turn back to God soon, and it doesn‘t look like it’s going to happen, then our destruction is not far off.     That’s wrong. EMP has a radius of effect based upon the size and altitude of the weapon that is detonated. So a single weapon of a moderate size exploding outside the atmosphere would only effect a small area of the nation. To get the effect that Gaffney is talking about would take a *megation* size bomb! Not only does nobody (except perhaps the Russians, stocked away in violation of treaties) have a megaton range bomb anymore, nobody except the Russians and the US have the kind of missile systems that could carry one. Back in the Cold War tons of scenarios were posited, including a sneak attack using bombs in satellites to cause a massive EMP “window” through the Soviets would have attacked. Today? Not likely. In any event, even if part of the US was hit by EMP, most would remain unaffected, and our military is EMP-hardened and would continue to function and be able to retaliate.

      A couple of nukes at the right altitude would do the trick. Not everything has to be taken out, merely the power supply systems (electrical grid) in key locations which would cause the rest of the grid to fail. And the military’s systems are NOT completely hardened against EMP!

      Your correct in your statement, however, modifications can be made to nuclear weapon systems to increase the radius and power of the EMP. Also, they don’t need to take out the entire country to set us back 80 years….A single weapon would be more than enough to turn off everything from Boston to DC and all the way west to Cleveland. The results would be so bad, 9/11 would go back to being just an emergency phone number in our minds….

      Also remember, once you get above the upper atmosphere, the math changes dramatically for the area affected….

      You may be interested in the results of Test 184 over Kazakhstan in 1962. The USSR specifically tested various sized EMP nukes over land. It doesn’t take 1 megaton to get the job done. 300 kiloton and much smaller nukes took out transformers and wiring above and below ground. There were no computers or semiconductors in use at the time. Everyone likes to talk about Starfish which was a US 1+ megaton bomb detonated over water with accidental EMP effects 800 miles away. Test 184 was specifically used to test EMP over land at various altitudes and bomb yields. EMP nukes work better over land and a relatively small yield will do great harm.

      Only one problem with relatiation. If we get zapped by an EMP attack from either China, N. Korea or Iran, the military will be hard pressed to do ANYTHING about it since the vast majority of their equipment isn’t EMP hardened. Along with that, the vast majority of the United States will have been thrust back to the 1960′s in terms of technology since NOTHING in the civilian world is EMP hardened. Can you survive a winter without central heat in your house? Without trucks to supply your supermarket with food? Can you fend off those who are NOT prepared for a complete elimination of the support system we now enjoy? Do you have a vehicle made prior to 1970 (with a non-electronic ignition system, using only a points/condenser ignition…the only type of vehicle that will work after an EMP strike)? Can you obtain WATER without relying on your city water supply? If not, you are DEAD in the event of an EMP attack! The only way that the U.S. could retaliate after such an attack is with nuclear weapons…

      Dunno were you get that from, but it’s not totally correct. It will be devastating if get hit by an EMP…But many of the things in the military will run just fine with a quick fix, if any is needed. Tanks, hummers, duece and a halfs….all of them can be fixed quickly after a strike….Not to mention a lot of the depo stuff is emp shielded. It doesn’t take much to protect things from an EMP…Not to mention all of our nuclear facilities are as well…

      Lots of aircraft are also protected, kinda have to if your gona be shooting nukes at someone…would suck to set one off and then crash….

      The civilian side will suck, a lot. Many things are shielded from EM radiation in the civilian world, and that will provide some protection from an EMP, depending on distance…The power grid can be fixed relatively easily, as the repair process isn’t on the microscopic level…but to make a modern vehicle run without it’s ECU is rough. Fortunately, all you would have to do is swap out the ECU and it’ll run again.

      The facilities to get us back up and running will be able to do so, but it’ll take a few years…Hope you like Monopoly!

      We’d go back to the middle of last century like you said, but it wouldn’t be permanent.

      The point of an attack such as that isn’t to completely disable an opponent, it’s a move to stall for time. Like it was said, it would take some time to get everything reactivated, and while military equipment would likely be operational, troops and other elements would likely be in use holding down cities or trying to rebuild the systems, giving the other factions a blank check to go out and consolidate their power.
      Worst case scenario, granted this is just my theory, use an EM weapon, knock out communications and early warning systems, then move your forces into position while your opponent is blind. Then you could run into a Red Dawn scenario, but again this is worst case scenario.

    At least Newt listed what he would do on DAY ONE if elected. Others came up with a general list of what they thought they might do maybe if others would behave.

      During his Special Orders Speeches in the House Chamber thirty years ago after Congressional work was finished each day tehn Congressman Gingrich warned us about many of the same things Beck does today. Gingrich and the “Young Turks” back then defended traditiona values, conservative beliefs, AND President Ronald Reagan. Although I do read “The Blaze” I turn of Beck’s radio program when he talks about Gingrich. Some aspects of Beck‘s personal past is as smarmy as Gingrcih’s yet both have found faith and cleaned up their lives and that is admirable. I don’t listen anymore to Michael Savage for two reasons: his irrational hatred of Gingrich (who has appeared on his radio show at least two times in the past) and his constantly his bragging about his 170 IQ, his many #1 NYT’s best sellers, his many degrees. Beck and Savage both imagine themselves as king makers and also this bothers me.

      I listened intently to the answer to the question Hannity asked Romney, “what would you do during your first 30,60,90 days after taking office as President”, Romney listed lots of stuff that needs to be done, however he didn’t mention “FIREING” every one of Obamas Czars on the first day. That is one of the 5 most important things to take care of first.

      Eric–you are correct BUT the manner in which he is going to do it is what we have currently. Gingrich is going to sign executive orders to end Obama’s laws. No Tsars, but he will remove judges who he does not like. How is he less dangerous than Mr. Obama? Just because you agree with the MESSAGE–it is equally important HOW our president puts his words and policies into action. There is no WHITE KNIGHT coming–human white knight–we are going to endure very hard times, and each day I watch the news, I know that the time of pain gets longer every day.

      Are you speaking Engish words? You might clarify yourself if you plan to make a valid point.
      I like Glenn Beck as much as anyone. I think he is a great man and has a lot of influence.
      I wish sometimes he would actually give DIRECTIONS instead of generalities.
      We need people with power and influence to make a stand and take action.
      Glenn’s “Resoring Honor” rally was the sort of thing I am talking about. We need more people with influence to take the same level of action that “Move-On“ and ”Acorn” has done in the past.

      It’s like the weather. Everyone talks about it – but few do anything about it.
