‘Where Are the Jobs?’ See David Axelrod Heckled By Protesters During Speech in Boston

The Obama campaign has continued its focus on the record of presumptive general election opponent Mitt Romney, rather than the president’s first term achievements. After spending several weeks looking to build momentum in scrutinizing Romney’s career at Bain Capital, the reelection campaign has now put the spotlight on their opponent’s one term as Governor of Massachusetts.

Senior Obama Campaign Adviser David Axelrod delivered a hyped-up address outside the Massachusetts State House Thursday to launch their new “Romney economics” focus, attacking Romney’s tenure as Governor of the Bay State.

“Massachusetts stumbled under Gov. Romney. He brought the orientation of a financial engineer who‘s career has not been about generating jobs it’s been about generating short-term profit,” CNN reports Axelrod said from a podium reading “RomneyEconomics.com.”

“This may work in the realm of leveraged buyouts and quick scores. That may work in that world, but it’s not how you build a future.”

Despite Boston’s deep modern Democratic Party roots, the remarks by Axelrod and a group of elected officials during Romney’s tenure (all of whom happen to be Democrats), were met with a strong contingent of Pro-Romney supporters, heckling the speakers with chants that took jabs at the policies of the Obama administration.

“It is great to be in Massachusetts, Obama country,” Axelrod said over chants of ‘SO-LYN-DRA‘ and ’MITT-MITT-MITT.’

“I get tweets from some of these folks so I feel close to them. You can shout down speakers my friends but it is hard to etch-a-sketch the truth away.”

BuzzFeed caught video of the protesters drowning out Axelrod with bullhorns and chants of “WHERE ARE THE JOBS, WHERE ARE THE JOBS.”

At one point, Axelrod responded with dialogue reminiscent of an Aaron Sorkin film, “You can’t handle the truth my friends.”

Axelrod’s speech comes the day that the Obama campaign released a new video and onslaught of attacks on the site RomneyEconomics.com, claiming that upon leaving the State House, Gov. Romney left behind debt, continued budget increases, higher taxes, and fewer jobs.

CNN reports that before the Axelrod-led event, two Republican state representatives took to the same steps to defend Romney’s Massachusetts record on job creation, saying he generated more jobs while governor than President Barack Obama has in his first term.

“The beautiful thing about the contrast here today with Gov. Romney and President Obama is that it’s an apples to apples comparison. Both men took office as chief executives in a time of recession, in a time of downturn in the economy, look at the track record both men have to show for it,” state Rep. Dan Winslow told reporters. “Romney had job creation in Massachusetts with net jobs created that exceed the number of net jobs created in the entire Untied States under the Obama administration.”

The Boston Globe captured video of the competing press conferences and protest:

While the Obama campaign went to Boston to deliver what has been built up as a major pillar in their arsenal against Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee made an unannounced appearance outside one of the shuttered offices of Solyndra, the solar energy company that went bankrupt after receiving government loans. Ashley R. Parker of the New York Times tweeted this photo from Romney’s Solyndra appearance Thursday afternoon:
Protests at Obama Campaign Event in Boston, Romney Makes Appearance at Solyndra Offices

Mitt Romney at Solyndra Offices (Ashley Parker/ NYTimes/ Twitter)

Romney attacked the president’s green energy record during his remarks in front of the offices in Fremont, California. He said that a $535 million loan to Solyndra represented a conflict of interest because it benefited some of Obama’s campaign contributors, while the loan also discouraged others from starting similar companies.

This is a developing story, check back for updates.

Axelrod and Jarrett are part of the problem, they tell him how smart he is, how wise his decisions are, how handsome he is, how the people idolize him. Sweet Old Barack believes all this garbage because he has heard it so long, and his brain has been so cooked on drugs.

If I‘ve said this once I’ve said it a thousand times: Make your own flipping job! It‘s not George Bush’s or Barack Obama‘s fault if you don’t have a frigging job. It’s yours! If you don‘t have a job it is because you don’t want one, or you’re not willing to do work that you consider “beneath you”. Well I’ve got news for you, Clyde: No work is beneath you. Lose your Prima Donna attitude and go pound the pavement. There is LOTS of work out there. I know because I am having to turn work down almost every week because I don’t have time to do it all. You want a freakin’ job? Go down to Wally World, buy a stinking shovel for $10, put a FREE ad on craigslist, and *BAM* you‘re in business as Joe’s Hole Digging Co. Get creative for cryin’ out loud, but for God’s sake, quit whining that there’s no jobs! Make your own!!!

It is interesting how the Obama campaign uses that video, due to the stark comparisons to his own first term as President. But on the bright side, GM is still alive and Bin Laden is dead, right? So knowing things are going to get worse in 2013 and 2014 due to the ACA (Obamacare), wouldn’t most people who are conservative rather Obama stay in office and have a republican controlled house, including the senate? Think about it, if Romney wins the election and things go sour, as they will, that will only give more firepower to the progressives. It would pretty much put the last nail in the coffin for the GOP. Having a republican/ democrat in the oval office is not the most important thing. It is who occupies the separate wings of the capitol as they are the ones who actually are supposed to be writing legislation.
What worries me is the lame-duck session if in fact somehow Romney wins. What sort of legislation will be passed just to take effect after Jan 20 2013 to set up the failure of the Romney Admin? The president really only has the power to sign or veto bills. Executive orders have been misused for decades and should only be used to make changes in the executive branch, not make wars or send money places.

I don’t believe we have five more years! If Obama gets re-elected were screwed!… He’s allready doing sh_t thats not constitutional! He wants to give our Natural resources to the UN, he wants to give the UN our National Waters, he aslo wants to givbe the EPA more rights so they can charge more for energy. If he gets re-elected, this MF is going to destroy the US. Him and his admin has allready done a great job at it. This will be a million times worse of this POS gets re-elected!…….. Keep in mind, if he does win he will sign more executive orders that literally destroy everything. Farther left than anyone wants to go. Why? Because at that point he has nothing to lose!… I‘m more afraid that he’ll lose this, and before Romney‘s sworn in he’ll cause an economic collapse of the Dollar, destroying all other currencies!…. And staying in poer through Martial Law. Were Screwed! One more thing about Obama care, if it does stay look for the Deficit to increase by about two to four Trillion in the first year. If you add 40million more people to a health care system, do you think prices won’t go up? Its allready going up! Short on Doctors and Nurses, and then the Elderly; who do you think is going to take care of them? They won’t! It won’t pay. Look at this selective abortions, this is a step for our Govt. to step in and stop people from having children. They have to reduce the Earths Population by 2/3rds. YOU CAN”T HANDLE THE TRUTH! So you’ve been lying to us this entire time?! Where in AMERICA are the jobs Obama said he would CREATE not SAVE? We have saved three million jobs to date. So what? Tell the people who have lost their jobs that oops sorry your job wasn’t one of the ones we saved. Until there is a net increase in jobs since ANY person took office I say that person has failed when it comes to the economy. Sorry about the rant, that line has always rubbed me the wrong way. But really people point out to me something Obama has done to save me money that wasn’t already in place. Show me something that Obama has supported that would have a positive net impact on our national debt. Those two things are what I judge candidates on when it comes to the economy. As for Romney you have to look at what he was in charge over. That was his companies and Mass. To be a bit blunt, Obama has done a lot worse on the economy than Mitt did for Mass.

The truth is that Barry is a failure and a pathological liar. He didn’t save the auto industry, he bailed out the Union. He didn’t fix health care, he mucked it up worse than it was. He didn’t close Guantanamo, when he promised the Obamorons he would. He reversed DADT, when he said he wasn’t going to. He supported gay marriage, when he said he did not. He indiscriminately kills foreign nationals, when he criticized Bush for doing the same thing. He said he would not run for reelection if he didn’t fix the economy, but is somehow running. He called for the end of corporate welfare and crony capitalism, then gave billions to his friends in and campaign supporters in “green energy.” He promised to be the most transparent WH in history.

Where are the jobs? The government‘s hiring and that’s the problem because the bigger government gets the smaller the private sector gets which is bad for liberty.
