A person with knowledge of the names tells The Associated Press that Tennessee’s Kenny Britt, Tampa Bay‘s Aqib Talib and Cincinnati’s Cedric Benson and Adam “Pacman” Jones are among eight players who could be suspended under the league’s conduct policy for incidents during the lockout.
The other players the NFL and the NFL Players Association agreed could be disciplined are Albert Haynesworth, Clark Haggans, Brandon Underwood and Johnny Jolly. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because no official announcement has been made regarding any of the players.
The story was first reported by Yahoo Sports. It’s unclear whether the league can discipline players for conduct during the lockout.

Too funny.
Just goes to show that without professional sports, these losers wouldn’t even be qualified to flip burgers.

Posted on September 26, 2011 at 3:05pmIf they commited a mass murder they had better be prepared to pay a stiff price for their crime, they could even be suspended for one play in a game, but the sports fans would protest that the league is over reacting.

Posted on September 26, 2011 at 1:48pmI demand more white players playing in the NFL. If the numbers were reversed and there were more white’s playing than blacks (a lot more)….lawsuits would be filing. The government would step in and tell the NFL if they did not have more black players good enough to play on the first strings then they need to beat the bushes to find them. The same should be said for white players. I am tired of the racism of the NFL and other leagues. I do not watch football like I used to and never watch basketball because I do not see enough whites playing. Do not think I am alone….white people are not interested like they used to be. I hope the NFL goes out of business if they continue their racism.

Posted on September 26, 2011 at 12:16pmTo paraphrase Charles Barkley, “These guys are pro football players, they are not, nor seek to be the role models for your kids.” That is what parenting is all about. If their behavior is not illegal then the league should worry about returning the game back to football. You remember when they were actually allowed to hit it other.

Report Post »The NFLPA, the NBAPA and the BPA all qualified for bailouts in 2009 under HR 3936 Bill that took the liability of underfunded pensions and made them the responsibility of the tax payers. HR 3936 does not require that a union cut benefits,Instead, it merely throws the unfunded liabilities onto the backs of taxpayers – thats a $165 billion dollar bailout folks! LOOK IT UP.
Among the union pension funds in critical danger are those run by the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) and more than a hundred other union-run funds. Isn’t that great?
In 2009 The tax payers bailed out mismanaged union pensions for multi-millionaire athletes. All thanks in part to Jimmy Hoffa Jr. and the Obama admnistration.
So we had all better watch ALL sports because we have a big investment in them.

Posted on September 26, 2011 at 4:42amThe NFL lost me when the really started to market themselves to women. Come on now, PINK football shoes or hats. If the NFL wants to donate money to fight breast cancer, that’s fine, but stop the stupid “pink week”

Posted on September 25, 2011 at 11:51pmGotta admit, this is the first time in my life that watching football is not a priority on Sunday afternoons. Between the commissioner wuss-ifying the league, seeing a piece of crap like Mike Vick get rewarded with a $100,000,000 contract, and all of the off the field incidents, I’m ready to wash my hands of the whole thing and become a casual fan who only watches the Superbowl for the commercials.

Posted on September 25, 2011 at 9:46pmThe NFL is as corrupt as our current administration, it’s sad how the NFL can hide rapists within their own ranks and not care.
Ben Rothisbooger PIT should have been kicked out of the league along with any and all players who have proven misconduct.

Ditto for Baseball and Biking and well ————– fill in the rest of most ALL sports.

I like what the Lions coach is doing now. There loses over recent years can be attributed to pride and no accountability for their actions. The new Detroit Lions coach has been benching starters for stupid fouls.

Posted on September 25, 2011 at 9:14pmOh who cares.. football players of today, don’t have what they had 30 or 40 years ago.. back then you could look up to football/basketball etc players they had morals and character then.. now all I hear is about their immoral escapades etc… I dropped sports at least two decades ago!

The NFL can‘t even handle the habitual criminals while they’re in a functioning league. Now you‘re going to tell me that they want to police them when there’s a lockout, no union, no binding contract? Please… give me a break.

Posted on September 25, 2011 at 7:51pmYou don’t need more info really. The commish has been running a facist type league for a few years now. Not that the players are innocent, however, if an NFL player were to go to a traditional marriage rally he could face punishment under current rules (i.e., holding a sign that says homosexual marriage is wrong).

Posted on September 25, 2011 at 7:49pmToo funny! And, sadly, way tooooooo true.
The BLACK MEN and WOMEN of the community in which I grew up would NEVER have put up with disobedience from their children, nor from us white kids either! Too bad that kind of honor within the true BLACK COMMUNITY no longer seems to exist.
Of course, that comment does NOT apply to all REAL BLACK AMERICANS who are AMERICANS first as are we, and whatever color of skin GOD seemed fit to cover us with, way down the line of importance. We all are more interested in “content of character” than color of skin / soul.
