Which Democratic Senator is ‘Hiding’ From the Press Over Obamacare?

We know that the Obamacare decision is technically a victory for the administration. But judging by the reaction of some vulnerable Democrats, we’re having trouble seeing precisely how that works. Indeed, at least one Democrat appears to be too frightened to say anything.
Who? Why, Democratic Senator Clare McCaskill of Missouri, who faces one of the toughest reelection battles this year, and won’t even comment on whether she agrees with the Court. McCaskill originally voted for the law, so you’d expect her to be doing a victory lap.

No such luck, according to this report from Columbia, Missouri’s NBC affiliate:
In the event that McCaskill has changed her mind, this won‘t be the first time she’s reversed course on the national Democratic party. McCaskill is one of several Democratic lawmakers, for instance, who have announced that they won’t be attending the Democratic National Convention this year. Still, it‘s an awfully strange reaction for someone whose vote on a law that’s considered a landmark was crucial to its passing in the first place. Again, we know the Obamacare decision is supposed to be a victory for Democrats. But if Claire McCaskill hasn’t figured that out, we wonder whether it’s a victory for all of them, or just the one occupying the oval office.

The Equal Protection clause PREVENTS any one or group of states getting more favorable terms than other states. Without that, every Red state would really be SOL right now. Cutting a deal that gave PERMANENT and PERPETUAL discounts for one state is quite illegal. Of course, that’s this administrations stock and trade!
