Which Former Victoria’s Secret Model Sent Glenn Beck a Happy Birthday Tweet?

We already told you about Kylie Bisutti, the 21-year-old who won the Victoria’s Secret Model Search back in 2009. As the Blaze reported last week, Bisutti has decided to quit her job as a lingerie model, citing her Christian faith as the primary reason she’s abandoning what was once her dream. On Saturday, the model, whose startling decision has captured headlines over the past week, sent Glenn Beck a birthday message on Twitter.
“Happy Birthday [Glenn] Beck! Thanks for all you do to help open Americans eyes to the truth [and] showing us what to do to prepare!,” she wrote.
On his radio show this morning, Beck announced that Bisutti will be coming on his show next week to speak about her career and her bold decision to leave lingerie modeling behind.
“That‘s the first time that I have gotten a Victoria’s Secret supermodel to tweet Happy Birthday to me,” Beck joked.
On a more serious note, he commended Bisutti’s decision to put her morals ahead of professional and financial gain.
“It takes great courage to have a deal with Victoria‘s Secret and then walk away from it because you say ’I think God’s telling me not to waste my talents that way.’”
The decision, she says, was also centered upon the fact that she believes her husband should be the only individual to see her body so openly (Bisutti married right before beating out 10,000 other contestants in the well-publicized model search).
Stay tuned next week for Beck’s interview with Bisutti.

Posted on February 13, 2012 at 1:09pmReally, this is news? Why doesn’t Mr. Beck rename “The Blaze” to “The Internet Site that Promotes Glenn Beck with some News on the Side” since around 20-25% of all the articles on The Blaze are about Glenn Beck.

Posted on February 13, 2012 at 1:21pmI love it when folks (in this case CONSTLAW) make up numbers to support their arguments. Any time someone like Kylie Bisutti makes a moral decision to support their values and take their life another direction – the haters come out with meaningless rhetoric like this. CONSTLAW – don’t go away mad, just go away!

Report Post »I don’t think so.
The precious few items here that are actually “news” only serve the purpose of legitimizing all the self-promotion. Even those few news item are often obviously “spun” and editorially agendized. All of which is fine and dandy, just so long as we are clear what’s going on. Let’s not pretend this is anything remotely like a source of objective news coverage, or that the content here can very often be described as anything close to the “truth”.

Posted on February 13, 2012 at 12:49pmThe Left has been whoring American women for decades. How do you do it? Indoctrination as follows:
1. Divorce girls from Christianity; embrace your inner Lady Gaga
Report Post »2. Teach kids in school that alternative lifestyles are “cool”
3. Teach that women who raise kids are backwards and “uncool” (ie., slaves)
4. Coordinate the various media to promote sex, sex, sex, sex, sex
5. Deploy feminist activists (Steinem, Abzug, Hilary, etc.) to teach man-hating
6. Undermine men’s attachment to family; see, Charlie Sheen classes 101 et seq.
7. Teach kids to hate their heritage since our past is full of dumb women who had families
8. Tear down gender differences and send military, fire departments, etc. into gender turmoil
9. Take money from productive taxpayers and give said money to unwed moms who pop out kids
10. Teach that marrying a man is a form of slavery.

Posted on February 13, 2012 at 2:36pmI recently went to a meeting where nearly all the women could not sew, could not cook, could not work a computer, had no crafting/creative skills at all. More men at the meeting could sew then the women.

Posted on February 13, 2012 at 8:26pmSure, copy it if you think it will help.
My wife, a former working gal who is now a mom, is happy. I constantly tell her she is the center of our family (and she is). There is NO higher earthly calling than to be a good mom. None, zippo, nada. Strength of a nation is with moms.
I have close friends (older) nearing death. They know it is close. Their kids are estranged. They made lots of money. They can’t hug their money. Money doesn‘t visit when you’re alone. Yet, the prospect of death is not that horrible when you think how you’ve raised your children right, in a strong way. What’s to fear? I fear not doing my job as a dad and husband. I fear failing in my faith to our God. But what is there to fear otherwise?
I am really sad when I see my female friends search, strenuously, for love. I am a professional. I work in a world of money now. These are sad ladies. Money and position are EMPTY PLACES. So what do they do? Drink, laugh, drink some more, go on a meaningless vacation, have empty sex for moments of unreal intimacy. What do they miss?
A family. Sure, this is not for all. But for most it is the center of life. I wonder if they can just drop their expectations, find a decent, modest, loyal man? My daughters hear the real deal tho. If they choose the death path, they will do it with eyes wide open. And it is just fine with me to be the (sometmes) grumpy guy who has some tough love. Cuz I love my family.

Posted on February 13, 2012 at 1:58pmI think maybe Scrub is referring to the Catholic Habit worn by nuns:
Mother Theresa:
http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR002K90tHYXLl_a-qPQECeTSEParQesYnN2qdAAF44L7qHUwhD-mKkwXg4Tg
Blue Habit:

The Traditional Habit:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c5/Sisters_(Daughters_of_Mary)_Roman_Catholic_Singing.jpg/237px-Sisters_(Daughters_of_Mary)_Roman_Catholic_Singing.jpg
I think Scrub may want us to consider these uniforms as some sort of “Burkha”. The only problem with that logic is that these women have chosen the Habit in answering the call to God. God calls us all, to hear that call is a choice, to follow that call is another.
I don’t think Scrub even remotely comprehends what that means, but I still pray that Scrub recognizes the plight and emptiness Scrub is encouraging. A lonely, lonely life it must be to be that willingly blind, deaf, and dumb to the light.

Posted on February 13, 2012 at 11:51amI do admire here stance. Those in the industry sometimes do not respect models when they refuse to do certain things and vocalize that as a model you have to do what we tell you or you won’t work. Many more models are standing by their convictions and sending a clear message to the industry; if you want to make money off me, you will respect my choices, otherwise I will go find someone who will.
She grew in her religious convictions and decided posing in scantily clad lingerie and underwear was not for her after two years. She lived her dream for two years and she feels it is time to move on.

Posted on February 13, 2012 at 11:41amOkay, she’s decided to put her clothes back on and for this, she deserves accolades and attention? I didn’t realize I need to give my daughters cookies for deciding to put clothes on OVER their underwear each day. Also, I doubt anybody here ever heard of her before this. That couldn’t be part of her sudden return to modesty, could it? Why is this even a story on the Blaze? Because Glenn gets attention from a pretty girl?

Posted on February 13, 2012 at 11:52amAh, the Parable of the Prodigal Son.
A son’s return from wasteful extravagance back to his father with the recognition and remorse of his previous wasteful ways should be celebrated. It is not surprising that jealousy should plague you brother, or that cynicism for your sister exist. But hold back those temptations and rejoice now and pronounce hallelujah!, for your sister has returned, and that is what we have always prayed for her. Question not why she has returned, for surely it is God’s love that has returned her here, and His love should not be questioned.
Or something like that…
