Which Hollywood Lefty Is Training His Grandkids to Shoot…the President?

Read this quote and speculate on just how many Secret Service agents would be visiting the home of the person who said it… if they were a Conservative.

“I’m training my grandchildren to use long-range rifles. For what purpose? Well, I’m not going to say the words ‘Barack Obama’, but. . .”

Read that again.  Now consider the reaction from every single MSNBC host if those words were spoken by someone in the Republican party. But that statement was not made by anyone in the GOP, it came out of the mouth of Peter Fonda during the festivities at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Reported by the Telegraph, Fonda’s bizarre comments continued;

‘It’s more of a thought process than an actuality, but we are heading for a major conflict between the haves and the have nots. I came here many years ago with a biker movie and we stopped a war. Now, it’s about starting the world.’

The second half of the quote sounds a little like Fonda realized that his previous comment might draw some unwanted attention from the government and perhaps he better soften them a bit.

Too late, especially when you consider that Fonda made some questionable comments about President Obama earlier in the week. As reported on Yahoo.com;

“I sent an email to President Obama saying, ‘You are a f(expletive) traitor,’ using those words… ‘You’re a traitor, you allowed foreign boots on our soil telling our military — in this case the coastguard — what they can and could not do, and telling us, the citizens of the United States, what we could or could not do’.”

To review: Peter Fonda calls the President a ‘f***ing traitor’ and a few days later says to the Press, ‘I’m training my grandchildren to use long-range rifles. For what purpose? Well, I’m not going to say the words ‘Barack Obama’, but. . .’

While I honestly doubt that Mr. Fonda is serious about his threats to the President,  he does have millions of fans around the world who can be influenced by things that he says. Is anyone in the Secret Service speaking with Peter Fonda?

    The poor Secret Svc has to protect the President no matter how unpopular he is. Rather than make careless dangerous statements, Americans can easily have a new President at the polls in 2012 (The Secret Service will enjoy their important job again).

    Is Fonda trying to build followers? What movies has he made lately? And i do not care what this guy has to say. I watched him and many others stand with idiots that spat on our returning military, it was soooo wonderful to see. No maybe i have that wrong he is trying to keep his followers believing that they are right and just. I do not believe one progressive will investigate another progressive unless that progressive is moving off the ranch.

    But, it depends on what web site one visited before? If one is not very, very careful , one’s computer can be compromised. Especially, if one tries to research any thing on the web about terrorism, and protection from it.

    Thou shall not kill. As much as I did not like Carter, Clinton, and obama, I would never attempt to kill them. I believe obama is the worst president we have ever had, but I would not commit murder. I have actually prayed for the man. Obama does not listen to any of us, but maybe, just maybe, he would listen to God. If anyone could change a narcissist like obama, it would be God.

    The “Fonda” children being full of anti-American gas and consumed by alcohols offer very little to the American citizen. The little orphans play inside their socialist and communist laboratories and now it seems they train with long mile rifles.
    They like places like Russia and like transmitting their hate which has little value.
    They have never contributed to America’s most important goals of freedom and liberty as they remain on the surface of every problem.
    They consider America as some recreational opportunity when honest people are trying to save the U.S. Constitution and our country.
    Just like cheap coal they burn and smoke but they will never be the future.

As for Fonda, maybe not all hollywood lefties are willing to share their wealth……….Interesting. Regardless no one should teach any child to do this. He is wrong. Violence is the very last resort. I am not saying not to defend yourself if necessary, but don’t encourage such violence on a young easily influenced child.

      A bit confused by Peter Fonda, so can’t say what I think, except maybe he’s getting smart finally. Now that Hanoi lovin sister of his is still the one person in America who is hated because of her anti-American activities and dissing our men in the military.       This site has changed (and for the worse) since GB brought in an executive from Huffington Post to run the site.

      I think it is a disgrace. There is now a counter to limit the number of characters one can use. Why? Someone should tell her that Blazers are capable of reading a detailed opinion.

      Some posts seem to be pulled for content, which, given GB’s devotion to the American Constitution, is appalling. Often people just repost their comment, and when one reads it, one wonders what the problem was.

      I realise that this is run by a private company, but if they are disinterested in free speech, they should be honest enough to say so. If they did not like the scrappy, rugged opinions and debates that filled these boards, then why set up the site in this way?

      According to their new terms and conditions, there are other things that they are not yet enforcing. Is this not the very nudging that GB complained about on his TV show? Is this site going to gradually morph into a copy of the one’s on the Huff Post? (And what a wasteland that is compared to this site).

      Does anybody know a way to contact GB with a real prospect that he might actually read my forthcoming complaint?

      I always type my comments in a word processor, and then copy them into the little box. This has two advantages – you can take your time deciding exactly what to say without having to worry that the window will time out and you will have to start over, and you can use a larger font making it easier to proofread and correct typos.

      On the Huff Post one can get “badges” for the number of comments made. One contributor had made nearly 60,000 posts. To quote another Blazer – “clearly more interested in being seen than read”. There are other idiotic grades that remind one of primary school.

      God help us if this site ends up with such childish grasping for contributors. How about letting people express their honest opinion? That’s what attracted me to this site in the first place. I’m not suggesting that we hang out a “TROLLS WELCOME” sign, but free speech is free speech. This site will continue to be popular and attract interesting contributors if the moderators keep as loose a rein on the site as possible.

      I’m going to stop now before I get really worked up.

      And back on topic, I agree with Mannax. It will be both interesting and revealing to see what happens to Mr Fonda in regard to his public remarks. I understood that the Secret Service investigated all such statements.

      Henry Fonda must be churning in his grave with embarrassment. How did a clearly decent man raise two such badly spoiled brats.

      Her name is Betsy Morgan (I had to google search). She was the CEO of Huff Post from 2007 to 2009 and increased visitor numbers from 4 million to 22 million during her tenure.

      Suddenly the post character limit starts to make sense. We should all post in small easily digested bites, it seems. And she was obviously responsible for the puerile “badges” at Huff Post.

      It will be illumiating to watch her at work. Well, for as long as I can tolerate it, anyway.

      Actually none of my comments have been pulled, either (except one due to uncharacteristic rudeness – and I was subsequently grateful that it was pulled).

      However, I have seen other people’s comments pulled and I write in defence of them. Someone called “Broker0101” was pulled for making an attack on me that was pulled before I could read it. I found myself in the odd position of defending someone who had attacked me without actualy knowing what was said.

      My wife came from a country that crushes free speech in order to prevent destabilisation of the hierarchy. The last of the Tianenamin Square protestors were quietly shot about a year ago. She has taught me what a valuable treasure it is for a nation to possess. It is the sole reason why you live in a free country and why your country is pre-eminent among nations.

      Defend it.

      Defend it from the lightest attack, and hand it intact to your grandchildren.

      And there’s nothing wrong with threatening with death those elected officials who violate their oath to the Constitution – it’s in the Bill of Rights, for crying out loud, so in taking (or pretending to take) the oath, they are actually agreeing with the Constitution that it is the people’s right to defend their liberties with guns.

His “(Fonda’s) training” remark is simply rhetorical; let’s look at Michael Moores video “the Execution of George Bush” or whatever it was called, while he was president! no one said a peep. Good grief! Obama is a nightmare, the most anti-American president (loosly called) ever to squat in the WH. The frustration of the American people will be stated in such a way, as this is not just a democrat or republican with differing views, this is someone diametrically oppossed to America. Someone who attacks our allies and coddles and financially supports our enemies, is hellbent on destroying “who we are”, and redefining us as a people. An American, can find no common ground with this man, unless you are a socialist/Marxist/communist, which the majority of Americans are not. I do not denounce Fonda’s rhetoric, it is the frustration of American taxpayers he speaks for. Yes, we are above this, but sometimes the release verbally, just makes you feel better!

      In contrast though, I believe the Lord will deal with his wayward son Barry in His own due time. Barry sincerely believes he’s doing the right things, honestly, just as Slick Willy believed then and firmly believes today that he did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.

      I’ve been here since day one and have NEVER had a post rejected or disappear. I have noticed that within the last month or so they will block out curse words and won’t let you post in all caps. Neither bothers me since I read the filth on yahoo’s blogs quite often. I think those idiots just try to out due each other in the absurdity department. Most of you guys are just simply to impatient. I watch you complain about “missing posts” only to see them appear after your complaints. Practice patience and common sense people. Is that to much to ask?
