White House Dismisses Health Care Repeal Efforts as ‘Not Serious’

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House is dismissing a vote by House Republicans to repeal the new health care law, saying it’s not “a serious legislative effort.”
Delayed after the mass shooting in Tucson, Ariz., the vote is now expected Wednesday. Democrats still have a majority in the Senate and they have promised to block the effort. President Barack Obama would likely veto the measure if it got as far as the White House.
Presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters Tuesday that repealing the law would give insurance companies the power to again deny, drop, limit or cap health care coverage for millions of Americans.
Added Gibbs: “I don‘t think it’s going anywhere.”

Posted on January 18, 2011 at 7:45pmYES! It is the progressive agenda of tyranny at risk in defunding Obamacare, the EPA, and all the other tyrannical progressives’ agenda. Defund them ALL! And this is why Geithner and the other progressives scream and screech about the government “defaulting” on the debt, which is an absurdity. The hysterical histrionics are because its their agenda of tyranny at stake. Let’s just DEFUND that agenda!
Just say NO to a debt ceiling increase! Suggesting that we must raise the credit limit and incur NEW debt to avoid defaulting on EXISTING debt is a false assumption to the point of absurdity. It assumes that we can’t pay current debt without first incurring more. It is utterly and completely wrong! Only the lunacy of a misguided politician would even make such an absurdly stupid assumption!

2) Tort reform… frivolous law suits cost doctors a fortune and drive up costs by having to do so many unnecessary tests to cover their asses.
Just these two things alone would bring the price down to an affordable rates for most people, but then the gov. cronies couldn’t get their slimy paws in it. Obama care needs to be gone before all the insurance companies are out of business so these things can be implemented. We can still do things like “pre-existing condition” clauses that are good, just not a take over of all our health care. If you want something screwed up, let the gov. run it, or give me an example of something they do right besides the military.

Ok theres where I draw my confusion, When the bill was signed into law in MAR 2010 they the demorats claimed 34,000,000 will have access to health care blah blah blah. Was John Conyers statement on the House floor today a code message to the ILLeagals that come get it health care for you too or did Mr Conyers forgot the talking point memo that your suppose to say 34,000,000 to actully hide behind what this Obamacare will do?

Posted on January 18, 2011 at 6:22pmThe Republicans are honoring the American People by taking this vote, so it’s very serious indeed.
As usual, the Obama Administration dismisses the will of the American People because they believe that the American People are too stupid to know what is best for them.
They called the rejection of Democrats in the US House, and numerous State and local elections, “a misunderstanding of what the Obama Admin. is trying to do.”
In my opinion, the Obama Admin. are the ones who “misunderstand” EVERYTHING!

Posted on January 18, 2011 at 5:47pmHealth Care is doomed eventually (Obama-care) so this review of the regulations is just a case of him going around the congress and the house to ‘regulate’ the health care into being, instead of doing it the way it is established for.
That is the other hand, while we are distracted by the ‘review’ he will have his cronies set up the system via the back door and shut it all down in one shot.

Posted on January 18, 2011 at 5:50pmOne other part to consider too, all that Obama and the administration need is to find some way to break the military to their will; to make sure only those loyal to HIM and not the people or the Constitution are in the leadership roles.
The Progressives have something coming, and soon, with the debt ceiling hitting the barrier shortly; the increases in food and energy coming, and so forth across the board.
Look carefully, for there is another part of the puzzle laying about; and this one peice may be of the type that the administration will fear…and may be destroyed by it in turn.
May peacefull change continue in the land for all of our sakes or the story told in Nehemiah of the captivity will come about across our own land if the lessons are forgotten and not heeded.

Anyone can hope. That is the substance of what faith and dreams are made of. The fulfilling of that hope is what makes achieving the dream a reality, and pushes us on to the better tomorrow we all strive to have.
In my case it is a free nation, a constitution restored, a smaller government controlled by the people, and the riddance of the progressives nightmare before God himself decides enough is enough and removes the nation into the eternal night.

Report Post »#1: Almost ALL of our true Patriotic fighting Men and Women are oversees and unable to do a thing here, and unless there is some HUGE mutiny among those in charge of the logistics, they will not be coming home.
#2: Those who ARE here will certainly NOT take illegal orders to fire upon, or fight against the American People. It is even writen in our rules of conduct that “All orders shall be followed in a disciplinary manner, unless such orders are illegal in manner” to paraphrase. i will be researching to find the exact phrasiology there.
BUT. Those us us, like myself, who are not Active, but instead “former”, still remember our Oath, “To protect the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foriegn AND domestic”, and we have no officer to give us orders to fire on our own people. And we shall NOT. We will all stand for the people of America we have SWORN to defend, and will do so with vigor, Honor, Disipline and with our Countrymen in our hearts.

Posted on January 18, 2011 at 9:53pmSorry to burst your bubble. Universal Health Care is here to stay. Every other industrialized Democracy in the world has Universal Health Care. Republicans since Eisenhower have tried to pass something similar for the US but they’ve all failed. Until now. Virtually without exception every developed nation in the world has something like “Obama care,” many for almost a 100 years now: http://truecostblog.com/2009/08/09/countries-with-universal-healthcare-by-date/
The American people deserve better. You may prescribe to the “every man for himself” philosophy but I believe that in this country we look after our own. American exceptionalism does not mean we make sure our government policies allow insurance companies executives to own a few extra yachts by making it legal to drop coverage to those who get sick (which under “Obama care” that is no longer legal) or to deny coverage to those with pre-existing condtions, which is fully half of every American. It means that we make sure powerful interests aren’t so powerful that they can tell sick people to “kiss my behind” when they get sick. It means this country is at least the equal of every other developed country in the world with regard to taking care of Americans.
Why don’t you, as a death panel member of an insurance company, picture yourself telling some poor soul who got cancer that insurance company has been canceled because their treatment is too expensive. And then go explain that to your God.

AND THEN work on that and either pass or fix it as each is being discussed. Unlike the previous congress who wanted to add 500 or so pages just hours before the vote, THEN said “we have to pass it to see what’s in it”. I see nothing wrong with that policy if that is in fact within their hearts to accomplish. Onl time will tell on that, but if they lie again, they know their butts are in a sling.
