White House Responds to GOP Rep‘s ’Socialism’ SOTU Tweet

This year‘s State of the Union lacked the rhetorical fireworks of 2010’s, as Justice Samuel Alito declined his invitation and Rep. Joe “You Lie!” Wilson listened quietly in a bipartisan seating arrangement.

While Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., delivered the GOP rebuttal and Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., offered the tea party response, perhaps the closest thing to 2011′s “You Lie” moment was when Rep. Paul Broun, R-Ga., tweeted from his House office his own critique: “Mr. President, you don’t believe in the Constitution,” he wrote. “You believe in socialism.”

White House Responds to GOP Reps Socialism SOTU Tweet

On Wednesday, Mediaite asked White House press secretary Robert Gibbs for a reaction to Broun’s tweet:

Paul Broun, a Republican from Georgia last night, tweeted during the State of the Union that — accusing the President of not believing in the Constitution, also not — and also believing in socialism. What does it say about the call for civility last night that the President was calling for?

MR. GIBBS: Look, again, I think we will be judged going forward on our ability to sit down and work together on not just sitting near each other or next to each other for an evening, but whether or not today we can get about the process of — and for the next year — getting about the process of finding some concrete solutions to the problems that we know we face.

We’re going to visit a few companies today in Manitowoc that are meeting many of these challenges. They’re competing for — they’re competing against the world in clean energy manufacturing. They’re hiring. They’re investing. And I think all of that is — all of that is what we should spend our time thinking about and worrying about and, quite frankly, the bulk of our time working together to address.

When asked by CBS News if he stood by his tweets, Broun admitted Wednesday that “personal attacks… are probably not good for the country,” but stood by his characterization of President Obama and his underlying philosophy.

“Mr. Obama believes in central government where the federal government controls everything in our lives,” Broun said. “That’s socialism.”

Broun’s overall assessment of Obama’s SOTU: “Good speech-but long on hope and short on reality.”

Obama: Hello, my lazy, shiftless, tools…I mean, fellow Americans. I want to thank you…no, actually you owed me…for all you birthers out there, GOTCHA…and for those who got a shiver…hang loose, baby, I’ll sing for you later.

Everyone better be ready to hunker down…pay your fair share…for those 30 million unemployed, hey, we are now burying homeless in large pits of 30 coffins…we plan to pass legislation to eliminate the burden of the cost of coffins…it’s a “greener” thing to do… the transition period will eventually be a short ride to your local FEMA camp, then into the pits. It gives “the pits” a whole new meaning, now doesn’t it? Hahaha…(white teeth flash)

Where was I? Oh yeah…the homeless population is expected to rise…which means that you’ll eventually simpy vanish off the welfare rolls…which is part of my eugenics plan. If you can’t afford to feed yourselves, you add no value to life. If you are 70 years old, you might get pain pills…but expect to die, hey – it’s something we all have to accept. You promised you’d do your “fair share”, right? Well, if you are old, dying is the least we can expect from you.

Young people, you can either decide to become my army of OWS and earn a little money for an i-phone, manufacturing mass confusion so that I can justify the martial law that I’ve been planning. I can’t wait to get this going, Man, it’s gonna be great. I’ve been practicing with my War video games…it’s so cool. So

He called A spade a spade and that’s what we need these days. It makes me sick that Obama and his puke followers just keep on lying through their teeth and rewriting the English language and thinking everybody believes them

Man told the truth. Give him a leadership spot. I just wish someone would corner Obama and press him on his views. Not just let him rambel on like all of them do.

You are correct. He sees our Constitution in a negative light when
it goes against his agenda. He believes it to be a “living” document.
It is not. It is our “rock” foundation and that rock should never be
moved at the whim of any one person, or any one judge. I read that somewhere
in the book Broke by Glenn Beck. I don’t know who said it, but it is TRUTH.
We became the strongest nation in the world because of it, and who in
their right mind can argue that?
      has been built upon.

The State of the Union message may well have been an example of a classic communist brainwashing by applying a technique called ideological subversion. The first step is demoralization by confusing the facts to the point that one does not care to follow the truth. Second step is destabilization by actions counter to common sense. Third step is creating a crisis in which to apply certain policies and ideals. Fourth step is normalization, where people refuse to accept fact, logic or reason when it is presented to them–in other words, they accept the manifesto before them. Ideological subversion is designed to make people come to no sensible conclusions to defend themselves or their country.

Demoralization. The president said in his State of the Union address: “With their votes, they’ve determined that governing will now be a shared responsibility between parties… We will move forward together, or not at all…” In reality, the 2010 election was a total rejection of the socialist-trending policies of big government, not a mandate of sharing in these policies. Then he threatened moving forward with the president’s agenda–or not at all. He said the Soviet Union beat us, but that the space program resulted in this generation’s “Sputnik” moment. He said America had fallen behind China and India, and to sustain the American dream, we must “sacrifice, and struggle, and meet the demands of a new age.”

Destabilization. Throughout the message, the president talked of new expensive programs while at the same time saying the budget must be cut–these are opposite actions that belie common sense. Again, he said that Russia, Europe and China were moving ahead of our nation in infrastructure and that we must rebuild America in order to prosper. And he continued in class warfare by saying that the richest Americans should pay for bigger government. Crisis. He continued to use financial crisis to forward the concept of big government, more taxes (as couched with the word “invest”), more government intervention rather than relying on “the whims of the stock market.”

Normalization. He spoke proudly of welcoming homosexuals to the military, integrating illegal aliens into American society, and big government programs as forged by “principled compromise.” These are all smooth words, but they are promoting a rebellion against the laws of God. They are bringing the masses into a mental state where good is evil and evil is good. Isaiah 30 begins with “Woe to the rebellious children, says the LORD…” And verse 10 says, “Which say to the seers, see not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits.” We must repent from our trust in oppression and perverseness and hold these leaders and one another accountable lest we perish.
