White House Reveals ‘Petition Your Govt’ Website — ‘Resign’ Petition Started

The Obama administration has a website called We the People, where it encourages Americans to petition the government to act on certain matters. The Blaze has profiled it several times, both for its opening back in September, and to document some of the more popular petitions.
According to its website, “We the People provides a new way to petition the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country. We created We the People because we want to hear from you. If a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it’s sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response.”
The website is making fresh news, however, after David B. of Chicago decided to create his own petition.
After the introductory statement, which says “I petition the Obama administration to,“ David wrote ”resign.” Under description, he repeated, “resign.”
Started on March 5, the petition doesn’t yet have enough signatures to top the list of open petitions (one regarding trade policy with Vietnam is beating it 100:1), but it has until April 4 to meet its stated goal of 25,000.
And if the petition receives enough signatures, the administration will issue an official response.

The Left loves to use ridicule against their opponents, but as David Horowitz said the left hates it when their own tactics are used against them. The left can dish it out but they can’t take it. Look at all the nasty comments Bill Maher et al made against Governor Palin and Representative Bachman. But now that the tables are turned on one of their own (Ms. Fluke) they are absolutely apoplectic!!!!
Let’s be a modern day John Hancocks and make such a big collection of signatures that the White House has no option but to shut it down in utter embarrassment.
