This fall, Rush Limbaugh announced a listener contest to see who could come up with the best commercial for his new line of tea, Two If By Tea. Here’s how Rush described it in October:
And now, there’s been a winner. Recently, Fox’s Greta VanSusteren discussed the contest and even let viewers see an entry:
But why stop at one? We thought we’d highlight some of the other contest entries. Take a look at a few of them below:
So who won? Well, there were actually two winners.
“So these submissions flowed in here and after countless hours of watching the videos we’ve selected the first place winners — and I say ‘winners’ plural because we had such a hard time picking one that we chose two first place winners,” Rush said earlier this month.
You’ve already seen part of one winner — it was the one in Greta’s video. But we’ve decided to post both below:
The winners received a flat screen 55-inch Sony LED TV and eight cases of Two If By Tea.

Posted on December 30, 2011 at 12:54pmIsn‘t ’Two if By Tea” rather mixing to unrelated historical evnts into one. Of course Rush and Beck often get their historical facts wrong.

Posted on December 30, 2011 at 1:25pmSince you are clearly commenting out of ignorance, allow me to enlighten you.
Rush is depicted on the bottle as “Rush Revere,“ who warns that ”the liberals are coming.“ ”Two if by Tea” is (obviously) a play on “one if by land, two if by sea,” which refers to the number of lanterns Revere’s friend was to hang in the church tower to warn of a British incursion.
Just because it is tea does not mean it has anything to do with the Boston Tea Party. So, no, it is not mixing two unrelated events, it is just a simple joke that clearly soared far above your head.

Just look at these masterpieces – banal, predictable, humorless, exploitative. Nice work with the macro setting to get that horse nostril. Dazzling! I had hoped that given the obvious ubiquity of soft racist rap parodies there would be one white person with rhythm, but alas, even the one black person moved like a CPA.

Posted on December 30, 2011 at 1:11pmWhile I don’t like the use of children, the difference would be most conservatives want to represent history as it happened and educate their kids too history. As Liberals represent history through a kaleidoscope, misrepresenting history as a bizarro reality. Painting conservatives as racist, when it was the democrat party that segregated the military, brought the KKK to the White House, kept women from voting, passed the Jim Crow laws and pushing laws that make legal immigration incredibly difficult, while neglecting the boarders.

Blew a gasket??? No – I felt SORRY for that poor child. Have YOU seen the video? I‘ve never seen a more ’coached‘ and ’prodded’ statement from a child. You could SEE he didn’t want to say that to Ms. Bachman – but his ‘mommy’ goaded him and forced him into it – even when the ‘pre-arranged statment’ did come out – it was a mere whisper. That child had no desire to say that. Why didn‘t the ’mommy’ stand up and make her OWN statement instead of using a child like that. That is the mannerisms of the LEFT.

Probably the worst case of leftist indoctrination (didn’t even have to do with the Girl Scouts) was the U.S. students taught to sing a song of adolation to dear leader. No, not Mao, not Kim Jong-il, but in the identical way, to Barry. This would be the song where each verse ended in: Barack Obama, mm, mm, mmmm

“Yes, I saw him on Greta. I used to watch his TV show back in the eighties. He makes sense, thats why he’s the most taken out of context and falsely maligned public figure in America.”
The left went into overdrive on the malignment and lying about rush with the NFL thingey. Sure they had to apologize and acknowledge their (purposeful) misinformation afterward, but the damage was done. This too is the way the drive-by media works all the time.

As someone previously posted, the mugs cannot be put in the dishwasher nor in the microwave – probably due to the gold metal flake that makes the mugs so attractive. Posted on December 30, 2011 at 12:00pmI’ve been a Rush fan since the 80′s. I don’t always agree with him, but over the years I have never heard him lie, the most often used slam against him from the left.
Report Post »His 3 hours a day provide the audience with real important news, and while it’s provided thru his filter, it’s never embellished to fool anyone. I suspect that’s why he’s so successful, he actually tells the truth and does not concern himself with being politically correct. IMHO far to many in the media would rather die the call a liar a liar.
Kudos to Rush for starting a new business in this economy, but it’s a lot easier to be successful when you have more money then you need and can advertize your new product on one of the countries most listened to radio shows. 20 million built in customers improves the chances for success.
Oh, it’s his new wife’s business, not his. He’s just the banker, sales manager and PR man.

Posted on December 30, 2011 at 11:48amHeck some of these people did better than those agencies you pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to come up with some lame commercials. Republican business owners would do well to chuck their ad agencies and get the American people to make their commercials. They‘d save a bundle and people who’s entry wins should get a share of the proceeds say 10%. Grant you, you will have to wade through some sleepers, but generally you can tell within the first 3 seconds if it will be worth anything. I did not like the rap one that much.
