On the plan itself. It won’t work and just puts off the inevitable. We are headed for a crash and burn around 2012 or during the presidential transition (if there is one). Which I predict there will not be one as this Houdini will get himself relected. If it crashes prior to 2012 then he can squarely blame the hostage takers (for making him do it) and take further actions to consolidate more power. The next two years will be the most dangerous period we will live through in modern times. Just a hunch.
