Why Is Lawrence O‘Donnell Obsessed With Christine O’Donnell?

Christine O’Donnell? Really? Why is a prime time program on a national news channel devoting precious air time to a story about a woman who was badly trounced in her attempt to be elected to the U.S. Senate? Lawrence and Christine share a last name, so could this be a long-brewing family feud?
The segment was titled ‘Conservatives Cashing In’ – maybe that’s it. In Last Wordland are Conservatives not permitted to utilize their fame and sell their story? Were the Clintons demonized for ‘cashing in?’ Before Bill Clinton left the White House, and mostly thanks to some very lucrative book deals, their net worth was projected to be more than $30 million dollars. Since retiring from the White House, ex-President Clinton is one of the highest paid public speakers on the planet, claiming between $150-450k per speech.
It also seems to have escaped the MSNBC host that Al Gore has managed to turn the his still-questionable theories on man-made climate change into a massive fortune, with DailyFinance.com speculating back in 2009 that Gore might become the first carbon-trading billionaire.
Let us remember that ‘Last Word’ Lawrence appears to be upset about Christine O’Donnell thinking about writing a book and possibly appearing on a TV show about ballroom dancing. And he calls that ‘cashing in.’ If he seriously has problems with wealthy public servants, perhaps he should spread his palpable contempt in a more balanced manner. Just last summer it was reported that 8 out of 10 of the richest members of Congress were Democrats.

If you can‘t see the difference between your examples versus Christine I am not a witch O’Donnell. I mean, really? You can‘t compare the Clintons or Al Gore to the likes of a Christine O’Donnell. The Clintons were president and first lady for two terms (and Sec of State) and Al Gore was VP for two terms, and that is not counting their years of service before then. What did the non-witch ever do? Except provide lots of fodder for the comedians and talk shows?

Just as O’Donnell was introducing the commie Jones and he smiled real big into the camera, our power went out. It was chilling!!
