Why There Is Less Live Coverage From Cairo Today

The riots and protests in Egypt are nearly two weeks old, and today there seemed to be a slight decline in the wall to wall coverage from the 24-hour news outlets (Fox, CNN, & MSNBC).  Was audience fatigue behind the diminished coverage or is the reason tied to the latest round of violence aimed at American journalists?

Yahoo News is reporting;

Network Anchors Leave Egypt Following Attacks

With pro-Mubarak mobs attacking journalists, a few top TV news anchors have now left Egypt. “CBS Evening News” anchor Katie Couric appeared Thursday night from New York City, while “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams headed to Amman, Jordan.

Williams, now in Jordan, reports details of the dangers faced in Cairo:

Funny how even the most uneducated Egyptian knows the US media are against the government that has been a friend to the US for 3 decades. They don’t hate Americans, they hate Liberal journalists, like Ms. Ahhhmanpoooor.

tonight I screamed that same sentiment as I saw her street discussion with the man who “hates America”.

If you have never had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Amanpour in her international broadcasts, you have missed a truly anti-American journalist at her finest. I had the bad fortune of being in a European hotel a few years ago when the Israeli soldiers were kidnapped by Jordan and the Palestinians and the Palestinians were shooting hundreds of rockets a day over the border at Israel. Yes, Israel retaliated but Ms. Amanpour was doing those street interviews in front of buildings in Palestine and Jordan that had obviously been demolished years ago with the “suffering of the Palestinians”. CNN international did not do one story on the rockets being shot by the PLO over the border.

You could go on the internet and watch the Israeli footage from their laser guided missiles where they were bombing the trucks that shot the rockets at Israel. Yes, they were in suburban settings because once the trucks shot their rockets, the drivers hid the trucks in residential buildings and I even watched where one was tracked to a portico next to a house. Yes, the house was destroyed, but that is exactly the tactic of the PLO to make it look like Israel is targeting civilians.

Ms. Amanpour had an agenda and let me tell you, it was not in support of the Israeli’s.

    Answers:

White people in a brown mob.
    Americans in a non-American mob.
Reporters who will report what they want not what they are told to print by the mob.
Human beings who think “they” are special and safe in a mob.

    Questions:

Who will be an instant target in Egypt?

Who thinks that now is a good time to ignore the reactions of mobs?

    —————————
When “tourists” or Americans living in a foreign country known for violence decide to go “hiking” inside the wrong border and get arrested – American Taxpayers ultimately foot the bill to get them released.

When reporters risk their lives in a really bad situation, should America/Americans risk their lives as pilots, guards, photographers to help them get out of “Dodge”. People get killed in mobs. Mobs aren’t picky about who and love the opportunity to make our reporters looks stupid. It also gets them media attention.

Where did brains go? It‘s not like we all haven’t seen videos of moms and what happens. This isn’t a new discovery.

People build their homes in forests that will eventually burn and this makes firefighters risk their lives so someone can have a place in the woods. Or people rebuild in places that are below sea level as if the next “protection” won’t bend or break because of Mother Nature.

    Where did our brains go?

The reason may be that they are in some danger but one has to think that someone from the State Department requested they leave. Becks assesment that Socialists and Radical Islamist‘s are behind this riot is spot on and perhaps the dear leader doesn’t want Americans to see to much more of what may be in store for us. Obama is negotiating with the Brotherhood and the Egyption leader and what follows is something that our media will try to spin in a positive direction even though it’s a disaster.

Ensinom…We’ll talk in 5 years if this in indeed the Berlin Wall moment, most are right to be timid on this as this is not going away…If it goes, it is going to be the beginning of a true biblical nightmare, the military will turn as soon as the people vote in the botherhood types. (yes i meant botherhood) Iran develops its nuke and the Muslims unite to destroy Israel. This is a different region (not Berlin) that hates America, hates industry, Chinese, Europe, and yes Russians. That translates into Extreme Islam rule in 5 years…

Mark Simone, who filled in for Hannity today, rendered the most astute observation I’ve heard yet. History is repeating, i.e., two years into the Carter administration, a violent Mohammadan revolution overthrew a leader who had been a U.S. ally for decades. That situation was a pain in our @$$ from the get-go, and remains so to this day. Concerning Mubarak, Ahmadinejad and Obama seem to be in agreement that he needs to go, which makes me think that this whole ordeal will be very bad for the United States on many levels, some of which we may not realize immediately.

The Western Press stopped reporting actual truth a long time ago and should not be there. Either should the Islamist tool Al Jazeera. It‘s a shame reporters too often lean towards progressive control but they’ve been going there since the early 20th century. Watch a movie that demonstrates this point. Start with Part 2 of this web documentary and you’ll understand my comment. http://www.marcrubin.com/dada2.ivnu
