(The Blaze/AP) — Tom Brady has the New England Patriots back in the Super Bowl.
The Patriots beat the stunned Ravens 23-20 in the AFC championship game Sunday after Baltimore’s Billy Cundiff missed a 32-yard field goal attempt with 11 seconds remaining that would have tied the score.
Brady scored the winning touchdown when he leaped over the vaunted Ravens defense in the fourth quarter.
His 1-yard dive brought the Patriots (15-3) from behind, and the maligned New England defense made several key plays, including shutting down Ray Rice, the league’s total yardage leader.
Brady guided the Patriots to their fifth AFC championship in 11 seasons. Next up as the Patriots chase their fourth Super Bowl trophy in Brady and coach Bill Belichick‘s tenure in New England is the winner of Sunday’s late game for the NFC championship between the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers. The Super Bowl is Feb. 5 in Indianapolis.

Posted on January 23, 2012 at 2:47pmThe missed FG should have never been attempted, receiver Evans dropped a TD pass in the end zone that bought the game to a FG attempt. I say dropped because he had his arms rapped around that ball and should have immediately dropped to his knees and the defender would have never been able to knock it from his hands. He choked along with the FG kicker.
I am a Giant fan and I know Bradshaw fumbled the ball, it was declared not a fumble based upon a BOGUS forward progress call. The final FG snap from center skidded into the holder’s hand, did not look pretty. Eli was sacked FIVE times and looked like crap most of the day. They put the cheerleading dress back on Jacobs. Running game was disaster If that happens two weeks from now the Giants will be a sorry looking bunch of bums on that plane Monday morning.

Posted on January 22, 2012 at 11:37pmDidn‘t Terell Suggs say he didn’t need God on his sideline? Karma’s a Biotch huh? remember when the Lions played Tebow, and they mocked him. they won that game, but after that, they lost 4 of 6. The Bears Urlacher mocked him after they lost to Tebow and they never won another game. Suggs mocked him, you know the drill. On the other hand, when the Patriots beat the Broncos in the regular season, they didn’t mock Tebow, they still respected him. Nuff said.

Posted on January 22, 2012 at 10:33pmTo all you “life long Pats fans” who say they don’t deserve the win, I say suck it. It’s not how you play the game, it’s if you win or lose and the Patriots won the game fair and square. The Ravens had chances to win or tie and they couldn’t do it so the better team won.
2008 rematch with hopefully a different outcome this time. Go Patriots!

Posted on January 23, 2012 at 1:28pmUnless it is a 2 score victory, it is ALWAYS won or lost by 1 play. Or in the Patriots case, by the officials, who didn’t think a catch in the end zone followed by 2 steps before the ball was dropped and called incomplete, warranted an offical review, and didn’t throw a flag on the defender climbing up the back of the tight end on the next play.
Report Post »OklahomaBound
Posted on January 23, 2012 at 10:06pmHey AARON BURR you might want to go check out the article and video they have at CBS Sportsline about that non-catch in the endzone. The ball was already most of the way out of the receivers hands by the time his second foot hit the ground, thanks to the Pats defender. I know it didn’t seem like it in real time, but it is clear in the video. You should feel fortunate Brady didn’t play his best which allowed the Ravens a chance to stay in the game and even have a short lead at one point. Now maybe you can borrow a Terrible Towel from a Steeler fan to cry into.

Posted on January 22, 2012 at 7:01pmThe big play really wasn’t the missed field goal, it was the pass knocked out of the hands of the receiver in the endzone with only seconds remaining. The field goal would have tied and sent the game into overtime, if that pass had been caught it would have been a win for the Ravens.
