I guess I don’t understand. This document dump amounts really to nothing more than the Diplomat Edition of the Enquirer. I see this as nothing more than a distraction from the real issues going on in the country, i.e. Harry Reid and his lame duck session, Pigford, Net Neutrality, etc. Everyone is so focused on this HORRIBLE Wikileaks fiasco that they‘re not paying attention to what’s really important. The pvc. that stole the info should be prosecuted. Wikileaks is just the messenger.

Maybe we need to rethink all this….
Soros starts it, Wikileaks feeds it.
The results are that the American people finally wakes up and now knows what is happening. Has been happening a long time.
So Soros and Assange, while trying to destroy, are actually saving USA, but they did it by accident. Because they didn’t realize the sleeping people would wake up. We never woke up before, now did we.
With everything out in the open, we the people can begin to rebuild our great country.

So I for one, want to thank the garbage [Soros & Wikileaks]. Because, when garbage builds up, even the lowest slob will toss it out.

Let the LIGHT shine on it all. We know that govt. persons have their little notes on other govt. persons. If I go into a meeting, I like to know who is who and what do we know on them.
Nothing new here except knowing what is in the notes. And with Hilary at State, the more we know the better. She will sell us out in a heart beat.

Notice that he had to rely on stealing secret and confidential information. He’s kind of like the person who asks you in secret how you honestly feel about someone else, and then he goes and tells that person what was shared in confidence, only in this case, it means people will be killed and strategic plans for our safety are now worthless. He doesn’t understand the world, nor human interpersonal relations. This is why he has no friends nor a spouse. He is not able to separate reality from his fantasy. Glenn pointed out yesterday that there is a direct connection thru OSI (Open Society Institute – George Soros) and Manning (service man) who stole the documents and an attorney working for Assange and OSI. I just felt there had to be a connection before I even heard this.

The fact that Obama doesn’t seem to care that secrets keep streaming out, and the fact that Assange is still alive, well, and more docs coming out soon, pretty much seals the connection.

Oh, OK, so sorry…you wave your magic “rationalizing” wand it becomes OK for you to have secret sources but, anyone else discussing things privately are to be outed. How does that work exactly? Ok for you to have secrets but, not ok for anyone else. Why because you named yourself god and arbiter of all? No, you don’t get to hold everyone else accountable with one set of rules by using “needs to be confidential” to cover your own misbehavior. The disingenousness of this behavior is mind blowing.

I don’t think mtnclimberjim really gets the ramifications of medical records being made public. I’m sure that people afflicted with chronic illnesses such as HIV or HCV would not be ok for their medical records to be made public. RE: electronic medical records. You should be concerned. We all should be. I am a researcher at CDC. Meetings are under way at multiple levels within CDC to plan a uniform standard for medical records. It is a government mandate. Currently each hospital chooses its own format, program, etc. Many have chosen scanned record systems, and there in lies the problem. Scanned records cannot be analyzed or data mined. On my end it’s all about research and easy access, but the Orwellian implications are really frightening. This could impact everything from an individual’s ability to purchase life insurance to getting a promotion or even hired in the first place – not to mention how it will be used when a bureaucrat decides if you are worth treating in the grand new US health system. Privacy is essential to freedom. The utter disregard for it in our modern culture is terrifying. Checked out your block on Google Earth lately??

Any communications they have made could be released like they did the U.S. documents and then 1. the world will know how it happened and 2. other countries may realize they are next.

Julian is not a US citizen, but an Australian journalist. He should be regarded as a spy, and prevented from entering the US in the future.

The military man responsible for gather the info should have a trial and tried for treason for releasing classified info to a foreigner, he is innocent until proven guilty.

If the press is only covering information already made public, then they are free to do so however damaging the information; if the press is releasing information that is classified, not yet released by another source then the journalists should be tried individually as accomplices.

Should the US diplomats, that were directed by Hillary Clinton be executed for spying on the UN officials as soon as they land on foreign soil? I would say no, likewise we need to execute US traitors that swore allegiance to our country, send back and blacklist spies of foreign countries.

Let’s see… If WikiLeaks hadn’t begun releasing these documents, we wouldn’t have known there was a leak. The information, as has been done many times in the past, could have been sent directly to foreign governments and we would not have known about it. If however, we want to take down anyone that publishes leaked information, we need to take down ALL of our own media first. They published the leaked information about CIA interrogations, Abu Ghraib, the Pentagon Papers, etc. In fact, members of Congress and administrations almost routinely leak classified information that is published by the media. The administration itself gave out what was considered “highly” classified information to Bob Woodward for his new book. Should he be arrested for publishing it? Our own press reported on the WikiLeaks information, significantly widening the dissemination of the information; should they all be charged as accessories?

If we go after all those that publish leaks of classified information, we won’t have a press remaining. While I find these leaks disturbing, I believe it is a very slippery slope when it comes to the First Amendment. Where do we draw the line? I believe the line has been, and should be with the person(s) who originate the leak; the spies themselves. That is where the law is broken. Why the emphasis isn’t primarily on the people stealing/releasing the information is beyond me.

If we go after all those that publish leaks we significantly diminish the role of the media to keep government “honest”.

Not until this latest leak did the administration finally say that they needed to take a look at the system itself. Why did a single soldier, a private serving in the Mid-East, have access to data bases both at the Department of Defense and the State Department. Sharing intelligence between agency analysts whose job it is to analyze that information is great… but letting just anyone with a clearance have access without a “need to know” is ridiculous. That’s just asking for this sort of problem.

Having had this information come out showed us the (extremely) weak points in our security and allow us to make critically needed changes. I find it odd that it took until this time for the administration to come out and say that they needed to look at security measures; not after the release of battlefield reports that directly involved the lives of our soldiers and those with whom they work and depend upon for intelligence gathering.

Keeping our secrets secure is an extremely difficult task. Maybe all of you are right. Too much work to solve the problem… let’s do what government is oh so good at instead… mask the symptoms.

      Let’s just shoot the messenger.

Jason – There are people on both sides who are stirring the American people up against this guy for what he is going to be releasing in the coming months. If they can discredit Assange before he reveals the manipulative money brokers who so many of these politicians are in bed with, they’re hoping it will be a non-story. They rather have him locked up and impotent to revealing the truth.

Eyore – your’re question was probably redundant, but it‘s because Obama isn’t in charge. There are puppet masters and manipulators and I’m not just talking about Soros. Bush’s and Clinton were controlled as well.

Jules is so much of a Wussie that He would never have a Normal life so His into Anarchism. Obama, Reid, Pelosi Hillary ‘CLINTON’ (why is She called Hillary? because Bill is a piece of crap?) are all acting like a small Navy ship hit a log in the Ocean. The World already hates us. Maybe Obama is OK with all of this and is not doing anything to find the coward? I hate to think that, but watch what Obama does, not what He says.

Frankly, I think what Julian Assange is doing is GOOD for America. We can’t try him for treason as he is not an american citizen. It is funny even conservatives infringe free speech if it suits their purpose.
Our enemies our smarter than we are. We have forgotten that old rule about knowing our weaknesses because our enemies know about them too. America is very very vulnerable. We haven’t spent any money on things that will matter. Like hardening our electrical grids from EMPs. They are cheap and our doors are still wide open. The devastation will be immeasurable and the day or hour is still unknown.
In Matthew- It will be hard in those days for pregnant and nursing mothers……………

There’s an odd parallel to be drawn here that takes the actions of Assange all too close to the twisted mind of one Charles Manson . . . as in helter-skelter, expanded exponentially.

Assange though, in a more delusional and ironic way, claims his end game is clarity. But clarity through chaos and disorder sounds like Obama’s agenda, finding and creating crisis . . . not letting it go to waste. Mmmm . . .

I’m not calling this fake…I am part of the general public…I just don’t appreciate pieced together videos such as this, especially when the piecing together supports the arguement. Too easy to say that it was taken out of context. The left does it consistently, we need to avoid it. Other than that, can someone organize a bouycott of wikipedia (operated by the same folks, so I’m told!)!

those clips are not a fair representation.

Why is Beck and his staff so quick to attack this guy with progressive tactics?

      PRINT IT ALL, JULIAN!!

America deserves to know the lies our government has been telling us.
