WikiLeaks: Americans Being Monitored by Top Secret Surveillance System ‘TrapWire’

WikiLeaks: Stratfor Emails Hacked by Anonymous Reveal Huge Surveillance Program TrapWire

WikiLeaks documents reportedly reveal the existence of a secret surveillance program “more accurate than modern facial recognition technology,” which is being utilized by a clandestine organization made up of a number of former members of U.S. intelligence agencies, including the CIA and the Pentagon.

The documents, comprised of emails hacked by Anonymous, identify the program as “TrapWire,” and this could be the biggest of all previous leaks if the documents turn out to contain accurate information. WikiLeaks began releasing the emails hacked from the geopolitical intelligence company Stratfor earlier this year.

“Hacktivists” with the group Anonymous took credit for hacking Stratfor on Dec. 24, 2011 and said they had collected more than five million emails from within the organization, some of which show a collaboration between Stratfor and the TrapWire creators at Abraxas, a company based in northern Virginia that is staffed with some of the most elite members of America’s intelligence community.

As much as we’d prefer not to cite the Russian-state controlled media network RT, there are no other mainstream media outlets currently covering the issue. This how RT described TrapWire based on information found in WikiLeaks documents:

Former senior intelligence officials have created a detailed surveillance system more accurate than modern facial recognition technology — and have installed it across the US under the radar of most Americans, according to emails hacked by Anonymous.

Every few seconds, data picked up at surveillance points in major cities and landmarks across the United States are recorded digitally on the spot, then encrypted and instantaneously delivered to a fortified central database center at an undisclosed location to be aggregated with other intelligence. It’s part of a program called TrapWire and it’s the brainchild of the Abraxas, a Northern Virginia company staffed with elite from America’s intelligence community. The employee roster at Arbaxas reads like a who’s who of agents once with the Pentagon, CIA and other government entities according to their public LinkedIn profiles, and the corporation’s ties are assumed to go deeper than even documented.

The details on Abraxas and, to an even greater extent TrapWire, are scarce, however, and not without reason. For a program touted as a tool to thwart terrorism and monitor activity meant to be under wraps, its understandable that Abraxas would want the program’s public presence to be relatively limited. But thanks to last year’s hack of the Strategic Forecasting intelligence agency, or Stratfor, all of that is quickly changing.

It may sound like something right out of a spy novel, but according to the documents, TrapWire has access to all the cameras popping up on every street corner and various other technologies and they are using that data to monitor you and anyone else they think needs to be watched via facial recognition. Talk about Big Brother.

WikiLeaks: Stratfor Emails Hacked by Anonymous Reveal Huge Surveillance Program TrapWire

NYPD's new super computer system is a joint venture between the city and Microsoft (Source: New York Daily News/Brian Smith)

It sounds eerily similar to a program unveiled in New York City earlier this month called the “Domain Awareness System,” created out of a partnership with Microsoft.

According to the city’s statement, the DAS “aggregates and analyzes existing public safety data streams in real time, providing NYPD investigators and analysts with a comprehensive view of potential threats and criminal activity.”

In other words, the system will link the city’s roughly 3,000 CCTV cameras, license plate readers, environmental sensors and other law enforcement databases so they can “protect” American citizens. There’s no way privacy issues could arise out of such a program.

That begs the question: If New York City is being monitored by such an invasive surveillance system, is it really that far fetched that the rest of the United States may be as well?

More from RT on the TrapWire system:

According to a press release (pdf) dated June 6, 2012, TrapWire is “designed to provide a simple yet powerful means of collecting and recording suspicious activity reports.” A system of interconnected nodes spot anything considered suspect and then input it into the system to be “analyzed and compared with data entered from other areas within a network for the purpose of identifying patterns of behavior that are indicative of pre-attack planning.”

In a 2009 email included in the Anonymous leak, Stratfor Vice President for Intelligence Fred Burton is alleged to write,“TrapWire is a technology solution predicated upon behavior patterns in red zones to identify surveillance. It helps you connect the dots over time and distance.” Burton formerly served with the US Diplomatic Security Service, and Abraxas’ staff includes other security experts with experience in and out of the Armed Forces.

What is believed to be a partnering agreement included in the Stratfor files from August 13, 2009 indicates that they signed a contract with Abraxas to provide them with analysis and reports of their TrapWire system (pdf).

Don’t forget, that according to the DHS, if you’re a veteran, pro-life, support the constitution, libertarian, conservative, own guns, a tea party member, traditional American, own gold or silver, stockpile food, have land with resources, protestant Christian, are politically active or vocal, etc. you’re a domestic terrorist.

“Docments obtained by Salt Lake City attorney Jesse Trentadue in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit show then Clinton Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder authorized members of the FBI to provide explosives to Oklahoma City bombing criminals Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols immediately prior to the April, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah building.

Holder had authorized the FBI to provide the explosives to McVeigh and Nichols in conjunction with a Clinton Administration undercover operation named PATCON, an acronym for “Patriot Conspiracy.” As Jesse Trentadue describes it, “PATCON was designed to infiltrate and incite… militia[s] and evangelical Christians to violence so that the Department of Justice could crush them.”

Both Waco and Ruby Ridge are now known to have been PATCON inspired, Department of Justice plots. Shortly after the Oklahoma City bombing, Holder instructed FBI agents to recover from Terry Nichols any remainder of the explosives the Bureau had provided him and McVeigh…”

Given the recent revelation DHS is run by immoral militant man-hating lesbians, it can only get worse.

      We imagined the network.
We built it by our will and controlled it: It served us.
The power of the evolved network and technology has a new evil master: This master may now have the ability to gain absolute global control of us all very soon.
Only 2 things stands in the way: An armed people and God’s faithful.
Crisis real or orchestrated is the catalyst needed to deceive people and disarm them.

Identity theft and fraud may be the crisis to gain acceptance of biometric ID.
Distrust of your neighbor through political, racial, economic, and religious polarization is gaining ground: Make us feel insecure and threatened by the boogeymen they create. It must divide us before it can conquer us.
The concept of God as supreme over man is a threat to this new master’s goal and will be dealt with swiftly once the people are no longer an armed threat and divided. God‘s faithful are the greatest threat to it’s goal.
Those of no faith in God:
Immoral behavior defended as civil rights will destroy the fabric of this nation. The arrogance of man will result in destruction. Brother against brother, father against son.
Have faith in Christ and be delivered from the coming evil.

Edward Mandell House had this to say in a private meeting with Woodrow Wilson (President) [1913-1921]

“[Very] soon, every American will be required to register their biological property in a National system designed to keep track of the people and that will operate under the ancient system of pledging. By such methodology, we can compel people to submit to our agenda, which will affect our security as a chargeback for our fiat paper currency. Every American will be forced to register or suffer not being able to work and earn a living. They will be our chattel, and we will hold the security interest over them forever, by operation of the law merchant under the scheme of secured transactions. Americans, by unknowingly or unwittingly delivering the bills of lading to us will be rendered bankrupt and insolvent, forever to remain economic slaves through taxation, secured by their pledges. They will be stripped of their rights and given a commercial value designed to make us a profit and they will be non the wiser, for not one man in a million could ever figure our plans and, if by accident one or two would figure it out, we have in our arsenal plausible deniability. After all, this is the only logical way to fund government, by floating liens and debt to the registrants in the form of benefits and privileges…”

      Continued.

“…This will inevitably reap to us huge profits beyond our wildest expectations and leave every American a contributor or to this fraud which we will call “Social Insurance.” Without realizing it, every American will insure us for any loss we may incur and in this manner; every American will unknowingly be our servant, however begrudgingly. The people will become helpless and without any hope for their redemption and, we will employ the high office of the President of our dummy corporation to foment this plot against America.”

“In 1921, House was influential in the founding of the powerful group, Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). The CFR was founded by wealthy bankers: J. P. Morgan, John D. Rockefeller, Bernard Baruch, Otto Kahn, Jacob Schiff and Paul Warburg.

House also influenced the passage of the Federal Reserve Act on December 23, 1913. The bankers saw him as their “unseen guardian angel of the Federal Reserve bill.” This same group of wealthy bankers went on to create the Federal Reserve, a private organization consisting of 12 private branches around the country. The Fed has a Board of Governors, and members are appointed by the President to fourteen-year terms.”

To be honest, I’ll take any info Wikileaks or Anonymous wants to throw out there. They are our only current source of hard evidence, so I hope they survive. We can no longer count on the MSM, our intel agencies, the police or the military brass for the most part.

Anonymous is a front group for George Soros and his Open Society movement. They are paid by him and they attack his victims, ie those that he deems need the Open Society treatment on their Gov’t. And since in 1996 he said that the US was his next “Project” to slowly decline the dollar you can bet that Anonymous will not rat on its own… Obama is a part of that project.

A whole bunch of them have been caught, around the world, I might add. You can’t begin to imagine how much these (mostly) young men are hated by the govt. machines, especially by the WH Traitor. Take a look at what Barack boy did to Bradley Manning, and you’ll get an inkling of how the Commie deals with his enemies. Why do you think Manning was held in a military jail in Kuwait for two months? Barack has already openly declared him guilty, and if not for the UN rapporteur on torture, Manning would still be going through hell in Quantico, VA. Now compare that to how Hussein’s brethren fare at Club Med in Guantanamo.

That premise makes ZERO logical sense. Romney is not good enough for me to vote for him – that is you all’s fault for nominating an extremely progressive republican (or the establishment fault).

Besides, if you dont like 3rd party – then change the election laws. Make it so that a person has to get >50% in order to win a state outright.

Chances are, Obama will get >50% in my state, so i might as well vote my conscience and at least send the republican party a message that they would get more votes by not trashing the constitutional or non-establishment candidates (Herman Cain, Bachmann, Perry, Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, Newt)

PLEASE PLEASE re-consider not voting for a third party candidate. They only way we‘ll get O’s sorry ass out, is to vote for Romney. Trust me I’m not a great fan of his either, but I can‘t stand O’…

      @QP
Why dont you tell me the results of nominating a progressive republican candidate whose record would indicate he is more democrat than republican…..

If you think people voting 3rd party is bad for your party – then you should seek to fix the election laws. The democrats and republicans have rigged the system to favor themselves at the expense of 3rd party. This is a situation the republicans have put themselves in

This is the way I see it – We have 2 cancers we can choose between.

Pancreatic (5 yr. survival rate: 4.6%) or Breast (5 yr. survival rate: 15%)
I’ll take my chances with breast cancer, because it provides more time to have breakthroughs in the science. In other words, changes of both the electorate and election law.

Two bad choices, to be sure…Just my 2 cents.

@Willy, You are most likely right, but you can‘t claim that a 3rd party candidate can’t win as a fact. The bottom line is a 3rd party candidate can win if enough people vote for him. People are sick of what we’re getting from both parties. I’ve seen a poll where 80% + of voters would consider voting 3rd party. Then you have the people that don’t usually vote, that could become active in the right candidate came along. It just seems that never before has the time seemed so right to give it a shot. Both parties are filled with lying crooks and tyrants.

If you’re voting for a third party candidate, you ARE wasting your vote. No third party candidate has ever carried so much as a single state, in the entire history of the Republic. Look it up.

And with the O Force out to stuff the ballot boxes, and register dead people, pets, and cartoon characters, splitting the votes against him only assures his re-election. A fractured opposition has no chance–NONE–against a ruthless powermonger with a united political machine behind him.

I’m not the biggest Romney fan either, but he is our only chance to get rid of Obama. OUR. ONLY. CHANCE. Perfect he’s not, but it’s either going to be him or Obama.

In fact, I will bet you a million dollars, right now, that the winner of the 2012 election will be either Romney or Obama. If a third party candidate pulls of the miracle, it‘ll be the easiest million bucks you’ll ever make. But if either Romney or Obama wins, I could definitely use seven figures.

You wouldn’t–and shouldn’t–take that bet. So if you wouldn’t bet a million bucks of your own money that a third party candidate can win this election, then WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU BET THE SURVIVAL OF THE COUNTRY ON IT?!!

It can’t happen. It WON’T happen. It’s either Romney, or Obama. Period.

The Left has their man; they’re united. If the Right divides the opposition vote, it’s over. Last American out, turn off the lights.

Like the man said, come back to reality, Dom. If you’re not voting for Romne

Exactly and for way too many years we have bought into the lie of voting for the lessor of 2 evils. What have we gotten for our trouble?

      EVIL.

NO more Vote for Ron Paul. A vote for anyone else is a vote for Obama. Doesn’t really matter if he spells it with an R.

Several people have written something to the effect of:
“So where do you think we‘ll end up with people voting for someone who we know won’t win?”

Self fulfilling prophecy. In reality if all those people who foolishly vote for the lessor of 2 evils would vote for actual good, evil would fail and that someone could and would win.

So waste your vote on evil if you want. The rest of us are voting for the ONLY person who has a 25+ year history of supporting the Constitution.

It doesn’t matter who you vote for in the presidential race. There are only 270 votes that matter and those are in the electoral college and the electoral college is not bound by the popular vote. There was a president elected in the 1800′s who lost the popular vote but won the electoral college vote. Do you think the Soros/Obama machine has identified those electoral college delegates? Bet on it. Will they apply “The Chicago Way”? Bet on it.

The only elections you can affect are those in Congress and those at your state and local level.

Vicki, with all due respect, you’re off your trolley. Paul has no chance. None. Zero. Zip. Zilch.

I’ll say it again, and I’ll go further out on a limb with this one. A million bucks says Ron Paul doesn’t even carry a single state. It’s a safe bet for me: no third party candidate has EVER carried so much as a single state. Anderson couldn‘t do it in ’80; Perot couldn’t do it in two separate cracks at it. If Paul can’t make it out of the GOP primaries, he has no chance as a third party candidate. Now, if you’re sure he can do what no one else in history has done, and if you want to bet a million bucks that he can make history, I’ll happily take your money. If you don’t want to make that bet, you may not want to make that vote.

Ron Paul HAS. NO. CHANCE. Period. Full stop. End of discussion. No third party candidate has ever carried even a single state, in any of the 55 presidential elections in all of American history. That is a fact. And Ron Paul is not going to be the first. That is also a fact, whether you accept it or not.

But just so you’ll know, there is a word defined as “maintaining fixed false beliefs even when confronted with facts.” That word is DELUSIONAL.

      @Hi resme,

Try this in IE9. Left click on “tools”, then “F12 developer tools”. A window will appear at the bottom of IE9. Left click on the “Cache” tab and left click once on each of the 4 “clear” selections. Do this with Firefox closed and then reboot and see what happens (go to The Blaze and see which avatar appears).

If you go to The Blaze support and get Erica, tell her The Monk says hello. : )

    OOPS!

I was really concerned about North Korea ‘s appointment of Kim Jung Un to be the new leader of North Korea — a nuclear power!

Kim Jung Un had NO military experience whatsoever before Daddy made him a four-star general in the military. This is a snot-nose twerp who has never accomplished anything in his life that would even come close to military leadership: he hasn’t even so much as led a Boy Scout troop, coached a sports team or commanded a military platoon. So guess what — next they make him the “beloved leader” of the country. Terrific!

Oh, crap! I’m sorry. I just remembered that we did the same thing here in the USA. We took an arrogant community organizer who has never worn a uniform and made him Commander-in-Chief; a guy who has never had a real job, worked on a budget or led anything more than an ACORN demonstration, and made him the leader of this country.

I’m sorry I brought this up. Never mind.

    What is wrong with us?
