WikiLeaks’ Next Target: Wall Street

In an exclusive interview with WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange reportedly told Forbes that leaked classified documents from the U.S. State Department and Pentagon are “just the beginning.”WikiLeaks Next Target: Wall Street

Forbes reports that early next year, Assange claims that a major American bank will “suddenly find itself turned inside out.”

Tens of thousands of its internal documents will be exposed on Wikileaks.org with no polite requests for executives’ response or other forewarnings. The data dump will lay bare the finance firm’s secrets on the Web for every customer, every competitor, every regulator to examine and pass judgment on.

When? Which bank? What documents? Cagey as always, Assange won’t say, so his claim is impossible to verify. But he has always followed through on his threats. …

Assange calls the shots: choosing the media outlets that splash his exposés, holding them to a strict embargo, running the leaks simultaneously on his site. Past megaleaks from his information insurgency over the last year have included 76,000 secret Afghan war documents and another trove of 392,000 files from the Iraq war. Those data explosions, the largest classified military security breaches in history, have roused antiwar activists and enraged the Pentagon.Admire Assange or revile him, he is the prophet of a coming age of involuntary transparency. Having exposed military misconduct on a grand scale, he is now gunning for corporate America. Does Assange have unpublished, damaging documents on pharmaceutical companies? Yes, he says. Finance? Yes, many more than the single bank scandal we’ve been discussing. Energy? Plenty, on everything from BP to an Albanian oil firm that he says attempted to sabotage its competitors’ wells. Like informational IEDs, these damaging revelations can be detonated at will.

With the latest dump of highly classified documents, WikiLeaks is everywhere — television, newspapers and the internet.  This rise in notoriety is feeding the fire, according to Assange.  “Our pipeline of leaks has been increasing exponentially as our profile rises,” he says.

And with technology expanding to make the transfer of information faster and more anonymous, it looks like WikiLeaks will continue expanding this profile, leaving untold secrets exposed in their wake.

In response to those of you who feel it is advantageous to have these leaked documents published, put yourself in the shoes of an army wife whose husband is deployed in some God-forsaken country. I do agree that light should be shed on wrong or evildoers, however not at the expense of the safety and well-being of others who are innocent. Also those of you singing praises to the benevolence of Julian Assange, bear in mind this man is facing two charges of rape in Sweden.

There has been no life endangering information released as of this date. All he’s done with the latest release is to throw egg on the face of a bunch of uppity leftist diplomats who run around stabbing people in the back over dinner, in our name yet. That kind of thing NEEDS exposure.

We have to get rid of this psychosis of bowing before the “national security state”, especially when we’re not at war (and we haven’t been since 1945).

The info that came out already on gov’t activities were very low level-nothing significant. I don’t understand why they came out, but they did.

The results are that the American people finally wakes up and now knows what is happening. Has been happening a long time.
So Soros and Assange, while trying to destroy, are actually saving USA, but they did it by accident. Because they didn’t realize the sleeping people would wake up. We never woke up before, now did we.
With everything out in the open, we the people can begin to rebuild our great country.

You know how to truly save our troops? Bring them home. Maybe if it were you over there you’d think otherwise. Maybe if your son or daughter were over there you’d think otherwise. They need to be home. They need to stop putting them into harms way.

IT IS US, AMERICANS, are who put our troops and each other in harms way. Our arrogance has painted a target on our foreheads. Oh yes, Wikileaks is at fault! @The Blazers

Google search and Yahoo search “Most vulnerable banks in America.” Three normally come up, the JP Morgan Chase, Wellsfargo, and Bank of America. It is the third one Bank of America that if I am reading some of the sights correctly that is the most vulnerable in relations to investments, home loans, and general business loans. Watch for this to be the most likely target of the leaks if it is just a bank and not the Fed Reserve itself.

      @Leftfighter

Wish for this one time I had been dead wrong; being a student of history (self taught) and having been around people who survived the great depression from other lands outside of America has given me some insights to patterns.

Nothing really changes in history according to Santyana “Forget the past and be condemned to the repeating of it.” or something to that effect.

We DO have the ability to change the path we take; like Soros has chosen to destroy and change our country, so we can chose to continue the fight, and take on/take down those who allied with him and those using the opportunities to take us down as well.

We don‘t need no stinkin’ … WikiLeaks. Such lame and boring info.

“CONSPIRACY THEORY With Jesse Ventura” tells us everything we need to know … what’s gone down, what’s going down, and what will go down!

The expose‘ should’ve started with Wall Street. Had the regulators not been payed-off, the economy wouldn’t have landed in the toilet. Chris Cox & Barney Frank should be in prison. Root-out corruption at ALL levels!

I heard on the Judge’s show last week that Kucinich wants to help Ron Paul in investigating the Fed. Why a member of the progressive caucus would want to help on that, beats me. I suspect his motives are quite different than Paul’s.

If this jacka$$ leaks anything, let‘s hope it’s from the secret files of GOLDMAN SACHS. I’d love to see all the backdoor dealings this place has with the Government.

Why doesn’t he target Obama next? If he is s-o-o-o good at getting info, there are alot of questions inquiring minds want to know, and think of the millions he could make selling the info. He leaks info of national security and Glenn leaks info of national security (of course different definitions) and there is outrage at Glenn but I haven’t heard Matthews, Olbermann, Schultz, etc criticize this guy at all. Where is their outrage and mockery? Glenn reports for the “good” of the country and this guy wants to bring down the country and there is silence. Useful idiots all.

How interesting that his quest for “truth” only seems aimed at the U.S. While I cannot deny his right to publish as he will, and he does unload some decent quality stuff against the government, he is quite…focused…on these united States. I suspect that his native Australia (is it?) remains mostly untouched, as well as Europe, except for incidental chaff.

The guy looks more and more like a directed and controlled plant.

I would expect that Soros has unloaded all his holdings and is waiting to get some real deals. Everything is about money, so when the crap hits the fan watch who‘s buying and there’s the culprit.

Some of you folks have good ideas. We could keep Assange busy for years: The Federal Reserve, the Senate/House of Representatives (probably only the Republicans), Dept of Labor/Agriculture/Education/ etc., China and Russia (better do those last, he won’t exist long enough to do the others).

In fact, we need to take notes on how he did it. It might be an effective tool for starting electronic wars between countries that could lead to real wars and keep the world’s economies booming (CIA, ya listening). Oops, “1984” again.
