There has been no shortage of controversy surrounding Julian Assange and his globe-trotting, internal memo releasing machine WikiLeaks. Assange has been under house arrest in Great Britain since December when, as Mashable notes, Sweden “issued an extradition request on accusations of sexual misconduct.”
The video spoof, entitled “What Does it Cost to Change the World?” while comical, claims that the organization is spending $500,000 on the house arrest and $1 million in legal fees.
Below, watch the clip, which takes a classical MasterCard advertisement and transforms it into a video defense of Assange (who appears in it) and his organization:

Posted on July 2, 2011 at 9:45amAs much as it often pains me, I too find it enlightening what Wikileaks exposes. The corruption throughout our culture, government, corporate, and personal is the root of all of our problems. Exposure of such allows us the oppotunity to fix it.
We ALL might find that both the young and the older of us have more in common than we would like to admit. The truly raging leftists are for the most part lost causes as well as the more racist and backward on the right. I am a conservative but what most who are Beck fans look for is truth and honesty. There are those on the left side of the middle who are looking for the same, they express it differently. Since we have somewhat different viewpoints, our targets tend to be of the opposing side. Both sides need to clean house and I feel that is exactly where Glenn has been leading us to.
I look forward to seeing more of the same from the left, such as the recent harassment of U2. They may sympathize with the left, but not paying taxes is incredibly hypocritical and they need to be called on it. I have criticized them in the past, but when it comes from the left it actually might get through. If more conservatives would speak out against corporate welfare and tax breaks, that too would have more impact and we might actually make some headway towards fixing things.

Its one thing to have software problems but when you don‘t attempt to tell the users what’s going on that’s not good.

Posted on July 2, 2011 at 1:09amI’d rather have the secrets revealed than the government continuing to lie to me. Unless of course you LIKE being lied to. I rather enjoy watching the government squirm in discomfort when their lies are exposed. Julian Assange for President 2012. And don‘t tell me he’s not an American citizen as that doesn’t matter anymore.
For all of you bit**ing about the site….it‘s obvious there’s a problem which the blaze is surely aware of. And since they are aware of it, they are working on it. Stop the childish whining and threatening. Makes you sound like a spoiled brat. The Blaze doesn‘t owe you anything since your money isn’t on the line. Maybe try checking out one of the advertisers here instead of moaning about the problems.

I stand with the United States of America….and all that is good…later.

Posted on July 2, 2011 at 12:48amWhether you agree with the ideology of Wikileaks or not, you’ve got to admit that it has a powerful statement. The organization reinforces just how much people are lied to by governments and corporations on a regular basis and how people are being used as pawns, slaves and fools to believe in a giant lie that has become too unsustainable to deal with and has its influence has collectively spread throughout the world. This site is all about exposing the truth and keeping leaders in power honest and on their toes because if they feel that they can get away with these lies without any accountability, they’ll continue to abuse it and foot taxpayers the bill for the recklessness of their actions for their own personal gain.

Posted on July 2, 2011 at 12:46amMay I ask all of you, who is shelling out the money for this site and making it free to join? I too disagree with some of the changes but I will disagree with anyone that tries to decide how this site done unless they have money invested in it? If you do go for trying to change it, if you don‘t then it just makes y’all sound like a liberal wacko that has decided that just because it is owned and ran by someone else that that can‘t be allowed so that y’all expect someone to pay for the site and run it but only under your directions and control. Yep, that sounds like liberalism to me.

Posted on July 1, 2011 at 11:56pmI agree with all that this message board is junk, but I happen to like wikileaks. I prefer to know how corrupt my government is and I don’t buy all that national security nonsense. Did you see that the Obama administration forced Haiti to keep it‘s minimum wage low because Levi’s and Hanes would lose money? Why does Obama fight on behalf of big business, but not do anything for the middle class? Don’t buy into that socialist stuff, Obama is 100% corporate owned.

Posted on July 1, 2011 at 11:07pmWhat the heck. Seriously, Blaze. You can do better than this. My message even posted before I finished writing it. This message board is junk. And if I want to watch commercials, I’ll do it the old fashioned way and watch some dumb talking head on regular TV.

Posted on July 1, 2011 at 11:02pmI agree. Strange and un-wonderful things are happening to this site. Besides the above mentioned issues, could you possible REMOVE THE VIDEO COMMERCIALS?

Posted on July 1, 2011 at 11:05pm… as I was saying before this site went berserk and posted before I was finished… could you possibly remove the video commercials?! They’re annoying. I understand banner ads, but if I want to watch a commercial, I’ll go back to the old archaic way of getting my news. You know, regular TV.

Posted on July 2, 2011 at 1:09amPOOR BABIES, THEY WERE DOING SOMETHING UNETHICAL…
When a company sees someone doing something unethical they are obligated to the shareholders to get rid of those people and stop their services. What is wrong with that? Wikileaks got a taste of their own medicine and are whining about it. Sorry boys, it doesn’t fly in the US. We will have to wait and see if it work in other countries.
It‘s just like Obama supposing that America is stupid that we wouldn’t see through his rhetoric, pointing fingers, and class warefare of his last press conference. As Halperin said, Obama was a d**k: http://tiny.cc/tlbiv
Thanks to the NRSC, America will see Obama and his rhetoric for what it is, lies: http://tiny.cc/alxgg
