WikiLeaks: US Agreed to Reveal UK’s Nuclear Secrets to Russia

In yet another bombshell disclosure this week, the online site WikiLeaks is shedding disturbing new light on the “special relationship” that once bound the United States and Great Britain.
Now-public embassy cables released Friday by WikiLeaks seem to suggest that the United States secretly agreed to share sensitive information about Britain’s nuclear program in exchange for Russian cooperation in signing a key arms treaty.
According to an exclusive report from the UK’s Telegraph, the United States government agreed to share information about every Trident missile the U.S. supplies to Britain with Russia as part of an agreement President Barack Obama is expected to sign on to next week.
Details of the behind-the-scenes talks are contained in more than 1,400 US embassy cables published to date by the Telegraph, including almost 800 sent from the London Embassy, which are published online today. …
A series of classified messages sent to Washington by US negotiators show how information on Britain’s nuclear capability was crucial to securing Russia’s support for the “New START” deal. Although the treaty was not supposed to have any impact on Britain, the leaked cables show that Russia used the talks to demand more information about the UK’s Trident missiles, which are manufactured and maintained in the US.
Washington lobbied London in 2009 for permission to supply Moscow with detailed data about the performance of UK missiles. The UK refused, but the US agreed to hand over the serial numbers of Trident missiles it transfers to Britain.
Professor Malcolm Chalmers said: “This appears to be significant because while the UK has announced how many missiles it possesses, there has been no way for the Russians to verify this. Over time, the unique identifiers will provide them with another data point to gauge the size of the British arsenal.” …
While the US and Russia have long permitted inspections of each other’s nuclear weapons, Britain has sought to maintain some secrecy to compensate for the relatively small size of its arsenal.

I don’t understand all the jokes being left under this article – it‘s as if we’re living in a dream where treason has no consequences until one day we wake up as slaves. This is probably the most damning revelation against the Obama administration ever revealed, but WTF. let‘s make fun of Michelle’s butt some more. Has my country gone insane? – That we elected him I blame mostly on the press, but that so many of us are making jokes about such a serious matter makes me wonder if people have given up already – in which case we are like the slaves who willingly put the shackles on themselves.

Report Post »Just that alone, no matter what the leaks are, is very disturbing. I would speculate they knew manning was a leak before he did it and fed him what they wanted to be leaked, then acted like “oops sorry all this got out we goofed up”(to other countries) but thats only speculation.
Out of everything that comes out someone else always seems to be on the loosing end More then the US, but they’d have to put some in there that hurt us a little to make it look good if that were the case.

What needs to be done is DEMAND that the House investigate the court martial of Lt. Col. Terry Lakin. The House has subpoena power. They can subpoena the records on Obama. Course, Hawaii Governor Albercrombie has already tried to find the long form BC, but there is no record of Obama’s birth in either hospital or in State Archives.

He will also likely face tough challengers within his own party. So what is left that would swing that many to bite off another 4 years of this? It is going to take a major MAJOR crisis with perfect timing to get the people to look for security and safety that they believe only the government could provide. It is interesting to see some of the posts that believe he is just bumbling through. Make no mistake; every action in the position of POTUS is orchestrated. They make moves that would make Bobby Fischer look like a 7 year old checker player. It would be interesting however to know who the voice is on his ear bud when he is off the teleprompter.

The timing of this couldn’t be better for Obama with the debacle in Egypt happening. Add in that the story was published on a Friday evening…it isn’t adding up to a big story at this point to them. It is clearly, however a MAJOR BOMBSHELL if it holds up. The political maneuvering will be quote interesting to say the least as this cannot be ignored no matter how hard they will try.

If he gets rid of all of our allies then it makes it alot easier to implement their master plan with no one left to help us. I don’t trust them and if their lips are moving, they are probably lying.

They supplied funding to the Confederate Army during the Civil War. We had zero desire to be involved with World War I, yet it was their rapidly losing that forced our hand to send them ammunition on the Lusitania, which of course was sunk by Germans dragging us into the War. Then at the Treaty of Versailles, after we came to the rescue, the United States was completely disregarded by France and England as they set the stage for World War II and the ongoing crises in the Middle East.
With all of that going against them, what have they done that has actually helped the United States? A pittance of troops sent to the middle east to help us clean up their mess, not very friendly just the very least they could do lol. What else? I do not mean this to be snarky, I really would like to know what have they done that has helped the United States either economically or socially, in the United States?

Report Post »I am. ….I don’t even know how to describe my feelings right now. Our “President” sounds like he is giving the neighborhood thug-life “protection” money not to have his shop burned to the ground. There is NO OTHER explaination for this that I can think of!

But now, the question is, “protection from what?“ What does he know that is so horrible that he would think it is OK for him to ”sell” Brittain’s nuclear secrets? That MUST be the reason for this. Russia has informed him that something nasty is about to happen, probably in the EU, and he (Obama) didn’t want it happenning in America, he’d BETTER give the goods!

We can no longer wait until 2012 to remove Obama and his corrupt henchmen from office.
This Wiki-leak must be investigated and if found true, then Obama and all others involved must be brought up on charges as traitors, spying for the Russians, conspiracy against our allies, dereliction of duty, and a host of other serious complaints. He must be brought to trial much faster than Major Hasan – we must not tolerate the level of damage they are doing to the country that so many Americans have given their lives to build.
For the first time in my adult life, I am so ashamed for my country.
I often say that a anation gets the government it deserves. I am convinced that we are better than this and that we deserve to be represented better in our highest office, but if we do not do anything about a violation of trust as egregious as this, then I guess we don’t deserve better.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
Although….Given that Great Brittan is an ally, and obama IS conspiring aginst Her with Russia, an “espionage-esque” enemy…
