Wild Brawl Breaks Out at South Carolina IHOP

Video of a wild brawl at an Orangeburg, South Carolina International House of Pancakes (IHOP) has made its way to the company’s corporate headquarters, forcing the restaurant chain to reevaluate how to keep its patrons safe.
The video, posted on YouTube on Saturday, shows a heated conversation between a man and a woman quickly degenerate into an all out brawl, complete with thrown punches, thrown cups, and one man wielding what looks like a cane. It starts with a women yelling the curious phrase, “I ride the ride!”:

Local Sheriff Barbara Walters told WIS-TV deputies were dispatched to the restaurant Saturday morning, but management didn’t file a report. She added that nobody who appeared in the video has contacted the sheriff’s office to file a complaint either.
An IHOP spokesperson told WIS the company is reviewing the video and that patron safety is the chain’s top priority.
A similar fight broke out at a New York City restaurant this week, when a group of young girls attacked a Wendy’s worker.

Are they not embarrassed, cannot they not say something to their own communities? Where are the strong leaders speaking up, where are the the Martin Luther Kings, those to inspire and correct? It is insanity to live like this, and I wonder if they fear speaking up because they lose money and support from their own base, if they do not yell, “entitlement.” It is wrong and a horrible thing, when people act like animals and want respect, and support.
This must end. Twice in a week, how sad, how sad. And yes, I will be care what restaurants I go to. Enough said.

Santorum was saying that Obama should be sensitive to unborn human beings not being granted personhood under the Constitution because blacks suffered the same fate under slavery, but instead of agreeing that Obama should be a little more empathic, all Sharpton could do was accuse him of being a racist. It was pathetic to say the least, but fortunately, Santorum didn’t take the bait and he didn’t back down from the excellent point he was making.

This is not a black community issue. It’s an individuals issue. I went to a private school for grades 7-12 and most of the people there were white. I had far fewer detentions than my white classmates, none of them for behavioral reasons.

Looks like the kind of thing that happens at soccer games in Europe although that is probably fueled by alcohol. As it were, most of the patrons were not involved in this melee and almost half the people you saw in frame appeared to be trying to get cell phone videos, not engage in fighting. Doesn’t look like a sign of the apocalypse to me. Just a low rent brawl.

Report Post »Where are you from that you make statements like this?? In Arizona most of the time if something like this happens it is either blacks in South Phoenix or Mexicans out in West Phoenix. Very rarely do you see this kind of behavior from whites here in Az. In fact I don’t think I remember ever seeing anything like this from whites here. If you are comparing what happened in Tucson to these thugs then you are just being ignorant. The event in Tucson happened because of one crazy person.

The results here are intentional, and by design.
It’s what happens when you both impoverish monetarily and dumb-down wide swaths of the population both in basic education, and personal responsibility & morality.
In the Progressive ideology, as long as the cattle are easy to control, the high breeding rates endemic of poor, uneducated populations will take care of collateral losses from crime, etc and make managing population levels easier through selective enforcement. The violence and crime helps push the “middle” to cry out to the “top” for their “solution”, an “enlightened despotism”.
It’s like the infamous KFC chicken-raising facilities that PETA (no, not the “tasty animals” PETA..that one is right up my digestion!) goes on about with little ventilation, filthy conditions, and tiny cages stacked high and wide. Sure, lots of chickens die. But by producing such large numbers at such a relatively low cost means the losses are more than acceptable.
To the Progressives, livestock is livestock whether the livestock has drumsticks and makes a great meal, or has two legs and voting rights. They also consider both about equally as intelligent and able to run their own affairs.

On Dec. 11, the North Texas Tollway Authority completed its conversion of the 80-mile tollway system to all-electronic. Those with TollTags on their windshields pay their tolls automatically; otherwise, the license plate is photographed and a bill is mailed.
While toll collection by high-tech devices may be more efficient for people who use the system regularly, it could create confusion — and lead to some expensive mistakes — for others.
That is particularly true for rental-car drivers, who could be forced to pay additional fees for using toll roads.
“They are using it as a revenue stream, just like paying airlines for your baggage,” said Kim Jackson, a spokeswoman at the North Texas Tollway Authority, where officials are trying to work out a better toll collection system with car-rental agencies.
“In essence, you’re at the mercy of whoever you rent from.”
Rental fees
Each rental-car company sets its own price for toll collections, and some have been criticized for charging convenience fees that could add $100 or more to a weeklong stay in the Metroplex. But other companies charge much less.
For example, renters at Enterprise, Alamo and National who drive on a toll road are automatically billed a $2 convenience fee plus the cost of tolls.
“Those charges, by the way, are less than any other rental-car company’s,” said Ned Maniscalco, spokesman for parent company Enterprise Holdings. Since Enterprise’s TollPass Automatic service was launched in September in North Texas, it “has been very well-received by customers,” he said.
In some cases, visitors with tickets to Super Bowl events may be led toward toll roads by the recommended driving directions provided when they rent. That may be particularly common for people in north Dallas who use the President George Bush Turnpike to get to Arlington.

I’m disgusted by all the racist comments being left about this IHOP brawl story.
To all you racists – skin color had absolutely nothing to do with it any more than you had choice in the matter of your own skin color.
The brawlers did have choice in the matter of whether to participate in public brawling and it is their behavior that deserves condemnation. All the commenters who only see skin color are lazy thinkers and are no better than the brawlers for behaving ignorantly because ignorance is a result of bad choices too.
BlueStrat’s comment got it completely right – What we are witnessing is the long-term effect of Progressive policies in which honesty and morality are treated merely as weapons to be used against those who care about honesty and morality.
The racist comments made here are ignorant and put the posters of these comments way beneath all the blacks (whom they would condemn) that did not participate in the brawl – especially those who tried to break it up!

I was stunned… stunned, I tell you… when I had to pay before my order was placed. Before they would cook, or deliver my meal, I had to pay in cash, up front. I was puzzled and asked why that had become a necessary practice. The waitress apologized and explained that it had become necessary, because so many people had ordered and simply refused to pay their bill, or they had simply walked out without paying. I was shocked.
I paid in cash. They did not take credit cards, so I was glad I carried cash on me, or I would have had to leave. They did not take credit cards, because they said so many cards presented to them were stolen and that they no longer accepted either credit, or debit cards.
Needless to say, I have not been back to iHop (and as a business owner, I sure feel bad for the owner of the franchise).
Sad, huh? Just sad… but others have rightly opined, things will not change, or become better – not until we stop putting up with this kind of behaviour and until we hold to account those that cannot control themselves. Until then, things will only continue to slide into darkness.

Is the whole point of staying informed with the news just to be able to make “Gotcha” comments against whole classes of people you’ve never even met and know even less about? What a brilliant strategy! Pointing out skin color is as useless as pointing out how many fingers the brawlers had or how many vertebrae – it is useless information that only appeals to lazy thinkers who seek to protect themselves from harm by looking no deeper than skin color. Would you also condemn all the blacks that have given their lives in armed service to protect your right to be as ignorant as you want? You have that right, and they did give their lives to protect your right – it just strikes me as awfully ungrateful and says to me that at least some of those lives were wasted if that’s all you’re going to do with your God-given ability to think.

A young Hispanic I worked with had to race home to watch Gangland on the history channel. What I find as disgusting he holds in high regard. IMHO TheBlaze is aiming for an audience that wants to make a difference in the world – beginning with themselves. That’s why TheBlaze often gets comments from readers asking why some trivial articles were included – the readers here are hungry for a forum that challenges them to think deeper.
Normally the comments left by Beck’s fans have been intelligent & rational.
Normally the comments left by haters have been obvious for their absence of critical thinking.
Beck keeps pointing out that the time for thinkers has arrived, yet too many comments on this IHOP-brawl article have shown a desperate lack of critical thinking when it comes to race… I’m having difficulty distinguishing some who I thought were Beck’s fans from haters… You cannot be both at the same time.
Pointing out only the brawlers’ skin color – as if that explains everything – insults all the decent, thoughtful, honest, responsible blacks by not making any distinction between them and the irresponsible, ignorant, violent, people in the IHOP video. When your comment makes no other distinctions than skin color, what else can your readers conclude than that you see all blacks as irresponsible, ignorant, violent?
Such comments are themselves irresponsible, ignorant and mentally violent – leaving your readers with the impression that you are no better than those you are pointing your finger at. Why would you want to do that?
If you’re sincerely a Beck fan, then you’re better than that. Give it some thought and come up with suggestions as to what might be the root causes of irresponsible public behavior and what we can all do to impact it. Is the answer more government or less? Is the answer to have more incarceration, or more reliance on personal responsibility? Is it better to ignore the problem or prosecute the offenders? What do you think?

Your ‘statistics’ about blacks comprising 60% of the prison population & committing 37% of murders, etc, are completely meaningless until you’ve eliminated all other variables… If you really believe there is a causal relationship between skin color and crime then how do you account for all the black military servicemen & women, police officers, & firemen that risk their lives protecting us? In your world, are they mere “exceptions” to some rule that being born black inclines one to crime?

That statement may be true; but it’s utterly useless unless you’re trying to destroy the pickle industry! Still not convinced? Try this on & see if it fits… There are 17 times more males in prison than females – even though males make up only 49% of the population. That’s a much worse ‘statistic’ than all your examples for blacks. Assuming you’re a man, should you be condemned for this? LTB told KALISH that the black community should, “start policing themselves” – Are you taking your own advice, LTB, and ‘policing’ the male community? How do your ‘statistics’ account for all the brilliant blacks that would have made a ‘hundred-times-better’ 2008 presidential candidate than even John McCain? – Conservative blacks like Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Justice Clarence Thomas, Condoleezza Rice, Alan Keyes, Angela McGlowan, Star Parker, (and that’s just the ones that come to me off the top of my head)… Are you asking us to believe they avoided jail and achieved national recognition for their abilities somehow in spite of having an abundance of melanin? – or did it have more to do with good parenting, good teachers, being taught to think logically, church attendance, good role models, self discipline, humility, and a willingness to take personal responsibility for their own lives?
Still not convinced? I’ll bet at least 60% of our prison population attended Christian churches in their youth too – but I don’t hear you condemning Christians. Nor would I – and I don’t condemn the “black communities” for crimes by individual blacks either.
What I do condemn are the politicians that pander to our worst human traits – promising unearned and unsustainable benefits that appeal to the ignorance, laziness, envy and jealousy in all humans – hoping their lies will trick enough voters into keeping them in office. Sadly, such pandering has been so successful that it is destroying the country from within.
I condemn Progressive policies that promised to help the ‘little guys’ for decades but have only destroyed their family units… impoverished, devalued, and dumbed-down our most vulnerable citizens, and wrecked the economy for all of us. Trillions of dollars have been wasted on these destructive programs – devaluing our dollar by 93% since these policies began. Sadly, Congress never set up a standard of measurement to judge whether or not their programs succeeded in accomplishing their stated tasks… because the stated task was never the real goal (watch the other hand)… The real goals were to perpetuate and enrich Progressive politicians. How do I know that? Because in that task they have succeeded wildly! – Until now. Now we’re so deep in debt that every single dollar made in the country over the next five years wouldn’t be enough to pay off what we already owe.
I condemn voter fraud that preys on our youth and encourages disobedience to our laws. I condemn the Democrats for awarding ACORN millions of taxpayer dollars (collected/stolen from Republicans as well as Democrats) that were used solely to get Democrats elected. The national spokesperson for ACORN asserted that they were apolitical because they encouraged all Americans to register to vote for both parties, yet when asked, he could not name a single Republican their organization had ever helped. They should never get another penny and the Democrat Party should reimburse the treasury for all the taxpayer dollars that went into their corrupt organization since the Democrats were the only ones who benefited.
I condemn the Progressive-driven mainstream media (MSM) for their utter dishonesty and lack of journalistic integrity. They are granted amazing freedoms in this country under our constitution – in exchange for which their job is to keep voters informed but not influenced. Instead, the MSM flagrantly biases their reporting and sways elections to the Progressives who have a crony-partnership with the MSM.
I’ve heard it said that it’s not right to impugn or even question the motives of politicians who vote for these wasteful policies but I say it’s time to take the gloves off and stop ignoring the real facts… The real facts are that these Progressive polices have ONLY benefited one class of people and that is the Progressive politicians who have been only successful at getting elected (and re-elected) for decades despite the UTTER FAILURE of their policies. If anyone has any doubts, I’ve got only one word to say to you – “DETROIT”.

So, if I reeeaally cared about blacks I would follow your example and post ‘statistics’ to prove blacks have serious problems because they’re black – Right? Wow! – It’s probably just as well that you’re not working on those ‘help-the-minorities’ programs anymore.
