Wild Chair-Throwing Brawl Breaks Out at Chinese Restaurant in Canada

We’ve covered our fair share of wild brawls in the United States, but how about a chair-throwing melee at a Chinese restaurant in Canada? We can now check that off our list.

On New Year‘s Day in Montreal’s Chinatown, patrons at New Dynasty restaurant started arguing. But what started out as verbal quickly became physical. The National Post in Canada explains:

The owner of New Dynasty restaurant, a mainstay in Montreal’s Chinatown, said “it was just a regular night” until an exchange between two tables, who didn’t know one another, erupted into a fight that snowballed into a spree of chair throwing, table tossing and glass smashing.

“It was dangerous, of course,” said the man who identified himself as the owner, but would not give his name. “You can see that [from the video]. It was out of control.”

And he’s right about the video, which has just started to surface. Check it out yourself: [content warning for some language in the background]

The video is titled “Chinese vs. Blacks.” But despite that description, it’s unclear if the fight was racially motivated or just an observation. The video’s author explained to The Smoking Gun:

In an e-mail, Turnbull told TSG that Montreal cops and paramedics arrived after the fight and “two black guys were getting their wounds treated while Police were kind of asking around. I dont think arrests were made that night because the Asians fled the scene before police arrived.”

As for the restaurant, one employee told the Montreal Gazette that the restaurant suffered “between $10,000 and $20,000 in damage.”

    This could have been started because one table got more rice than the other or one got fortune cookies and the other didn’t or what the fortune cookies said, or someone heard what was said at the other table, between people at the same table, and didn’t like it, who knows. I don’t even know if they have fortune cookies in Canada, but since it happened between races it escalated in to a race fight. This, and all the other fights seen on the Blaze, is a perfect example for segragation. If races can’t get along together, don’t let them get together, simple

    Why is it never surprising to see blacks involved in destroying a place, beating people, or stealing everything in sight?
    While there are videos of whites behaving badly and even fewer of Asians as well, the majority are blacks misbehaving.
    When will people be unafraid to tell the truth?
    The problem in society with black people is that their culture is messed up.
    It is not because of race, as is obvious by the fact that there are several blacks who get along with everyone, make money, and do not spend their lives hurting others.
    It is also interesting to note that 75% of black children do not have a relationship with their fathers.
    Did you know that 75% of the prison population is people without a dad and 24% had abusive fathers/father figures?
    Now we have let things go so far that it is not only cool or hip to hurt others but funny as well.

      The wife and I were in Outback eating dinner when the black family across from us finished their meal – the adult male had the two kids pass him their silverware which he gave to the adult female who put all of it in a bag. I called over the manager he said it happens all the time and did nothing about it. I can say we have never been back in a outback stake house. The prices reflect the cost of what is stolen from them. I would issue plastic -of if you wanted silverware you sign for it with your meal and the fee added to the meal if the silverwarr wasn’t returned

      AJAYW, forget about Outback Steakhouse – that cost is being spread throughout the entire society, it is in the billions upon billions of dollars and shows no sign of slowing. And it isn’t just direct government funding, it is programs that force blacks into occupations by lowering standards and forcing equality. The Navy Seals are even pushing for more blacks now since it hasn’t happened naturally just using the EXTREME training and weeding out program involved in becoming a Navy Seal. So who does it help to change their standards to get blacks involved? That cost must be borne by our society. A few places of silverware at some restaurant is chump change in comparison. Think of that when you pay your taxes.

      I simply call them black and they call me the “white guy”. Much easier as 5-6 years ago when I bought into PC-ism I referred to someone as “African American”. He was from Jamaica and was VERY, VERY offended by the remark. “I am Jamaican…” He said. Okay, your all black now. What’s the big deal anyway? Have we become that “wimpified”?
