Will the MSM Ever Report on the Left’s Recent Violent Rhetoric?

Mark Levin has had enough of the “violent rhetoric” double standard. And on Friday, he singled out one mainstream media reporter to start reporting on it.
Levin specifically called out “Meet the Press” host David Gregory, who was eager to feature GOP soundbites after the Tucson shooting. For his part, Levin played a montage of “violent rhetoric” in the wake of this week’s budget battle. Noel Sheppard over at NewsBusters explains some of them:
First came Rep. Louise Slaughter of New York claiming that freshmen Republicans in the House are “here to kill women.” Next was another New York Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s claim that Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-Wisc.) 2012 budget proposal “passes like a tornado through America’s nursing homes.”
That’s when Levin delivered his challenge:
How about this violent rhetoric here, big Davey? How about all this nastiness? All this hate? All these lies? You were on top of this last time, remember that, David? Oh yeah, yeah, drawing all kinds of conspiracy circles. Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh. We even had a fruitcake on MSLSD, me, others, we were responsible for Tucson.

There are few moments that reflect a greater sadness than when we forfeit the opportunity to obtain a truer perspective in order to feel the satisfaction of being the one ‘proclaimed’ as correct; even if truth and time find that you are not. There are times where each of us has a chance to share what we know. Even if we don’t have all of the facts, we may have in our possession crucial information that when combined with some detail held by another reveals the answer you all sought, the real answer, the truth.
No false victory will ever replace the ominous high of discovering the truth. Especially when what you suspected was the case, is confirmed. Large or small, a point proven is a joy to experience … in knowing, and in being able to share such relevant information. The various forms of media available today have always had the potential of righting wrongs and clarifying mistruths, just as a computer is capable of putting out the one true answer to the most complex calculations. Naturally the ability of this device to perform such a task is limited by the validity of the information inputted into it. Garbage in – garbage out so to speak!
In the most obvious ways, the media is a perfect example of the abuses of prejudiced thinking, and edifies the term ‘garbage in – garbage out’. The various platforms for news and information used by the American citizen to stay informed and be up to date in local and world events are no longer reliable. Rather, they have become the power marketing tools of all who have the loudest, squeakiest wheel or have available the incredible funding necessary to manipulate and twist fact or fiction into the necessary crisis of the day.
This persuasive and most devious practice of manipulating public opinion with anything but the truth is not only illegal; it is accepted by the vast majority of the American public. It has been for over 75 years. Any other reaction than to accept what you are told would make you ‘stand out’. Not to mention that to have to pay closer attention and be prepared to do your civic duty and speak out when needed is so darn inconvenient.
So now we have extremely opposite parties battling to gain control over your finances, your laws, your rights, your faith, etc. etc. and are fully prepared to engage in the ever epic battle of “do it our way, or no way”, using news and entertainment media flavored to shape easily flexible opinions for a majority of the American citizens votes who demand that their news be both convenient, and politically comfortable. Scary but true.
The energy behind this train of downward societal direction is kinetic. It is released and very much in motion. There is no stopping this motion. Only its direction can be affected should we, as American citizens chose to try. A single citizen or community can not sustain such a decision as to resist the current direction of such a powerful and negative force as today’s media and the political machines in power. However, a single person or group who stand pure in heart and with generous intent to give as they would take; help as they would be helped and live by the rules they would have others follow, hold the highest hope of success.
This once began here with the Constitution. It got tattered and muddied for a while. People in the United States of America recently awoke to find that the ‘auto pilot’ way of living our lives has us off coarse. It is unclear now what most politicians truly mean or intend to do when they speak, or whether the information we view on T.V. and with the news networks has any credibility. Chances are, if you can’t see or hear truth as an obvious component, it is likely not to be there at all. Facts and track records speak the loudest, and most often after an election is held, or after a law is enacted, and neither of which are readily available for real validation before hand.
Remember the old saying “Possession is 9/10ths of the law”? Well sadly in this era of ‘news’ and ‘info’ there is a way I view how and why the public react in the ways they do. “Perspective is 9/10ths of the truth.”
Report Post »It is a well known fact that whether one is Christian or not, if the majority of this country simply followed the basic Ten Commandments, wrongs will be righted and the world would follow. So I will begin this trend in me. Consider this, in joining me. 2nd – Don’t be a victim. 3rd – Place sound reasonable value upon all that you experience. 4th – Have a higher standard than just a media spun opinion to gage and affect your position, and most of all, 1st – Pray.

The mainstream media will never report who is actually doing all the violent retoric and in some cases actually perpetrating physical violence. I’m so glad for the new media which if researched correctly you can get acurate news. The TV networks are now just dinosaur and bias media, which I now longer watch. Enough Said!

If the liberal left can’t hear the vitriolic venom being spewed by Chris Matthews, Lawrence Odonnell, Rachel Madcow, and Big Ed Sgt. Schultz then liberals are too stupid to comprehend the message they send. I watch FOX first everday, then PMSNBC reruns late at night to get both sides. After all the problems domestically and globally, that seem to be really something we should educate ourselves to. By the time I get around to late PMSNBC, I need a good laugh

Have you seen “Time” or “Newsweek” magazines lately? They’re maybe 20 pages, and most of the content is fluff about celebrity gossip. It‘ll just be a matter of time before they’re gone completely. The New York Times is laying-off staff every week, and CBS (finally) ditched Katie Couric after her ratings had been in the crapper for years.
The mainstream media will never tell the truth, but have faith. They can’t survive much longer if they have no audience!
