NPR doesn’t like that FNC has reasonable Democrats on. It only serves to show the disparity between Progressives have taken over the party the the intellectually honest dems that once were. The ones that could discuss, debate, and compromise. They aren’t all gone, but they’re being pushed off every media outlet thanks to George and his kind.

I also liked the Fox poll, asking how many people felt just as Juan did about Muslims on planes. Over 40,000 people took the poll and 88% agreed with Juan.

Juan looked like a whipped puppy on O’Reilly tonight. He finally realized that the left eats their own when they don’t tow the line. As far as leftists go, Juan has been the most decent on Fox. NPR should be defunded.

Maybe he could give us some insight into the ways they cheat and who is really running things, since he was an insider for so long. How about it, Juan? Give us some info. You should finally know who your real friends are now. Maybe the teapartiers won’t look so racist anymore, since most of them are on websites all over the country defending you.

Spill your guts on the slimeballs that attacked you, then I may defend you more as well.

Juan has never accepted the idea that progressivism is dangerous to American freedoms. Now he is painfully aware of what progressives will do to those it deems wrong. There is no democratic party anymore, it is the progressive party. Good luck at Fox Juan, and I‘m glad you’re eyes have been opened.

Shortly after 9/11/2001 I recall Juan Williams appeared as a panelist on Fox News Sunday. The conversation was about racial profiling. I recall Juan spoke as a black man who found himself ill at ease when he was on an airplane on which there were passengers of obvious Middle Eastern heritage – and finding himself torn because was unconciously engaged in recial profiling – and he personally knew what it was to be profiled. I found myself as a Conservative being surprised of those words coming from someone whom I regarded as a Liberal – and I agreed with him.

Juan Williams’ view has remained constant. The recent episode with O’Reilly was a reprise of that public conversation on Fox News Sunday about nine years ago. His declaration of a personal reaction to the situation and his mixed emotions/feelings was not questioned in the close aftermath of the attack by Muslim Extemists on 9/11/2001. What is different now?….(and I expect lots of answers to this one)…..

George Soros just gave $1.8 million to NPR; and he gave $1 million to Media Matters specifically to fight Fox News and Glenn Beck. O’Reilly says Soros was after Fox News as much as, if not more than, he was after Juan when he used his most recently “purchased” tool to try to hurt Fox News and send a warning anyone who contributes to Fox News. Soon he‘ll be after all of us who WATCH Fox News IF HE ISN’T ALREADY.

NPR simpy demonstrated their true nature! I disagree often with Juan William’s perspective, but he damn well has the right to his perspective without the fear of lossing his job simply because he stated his honest opinion. No valid argument can possibly be made that Juan Williams is a bigot or said anything approaching bigotry. I just hope Juan finally sees the true nature of the liberal left, i.e. they are devoid of true principles, and deceit is their favorite tool! They believe in freedom of speech, but only as long as you say what they want you to!

Roger Aisles is a good man who recognized the injustice in what the IDIOTS at NPR did to Juan Williams. Hey NPR, not very politically neutral for a politically neutral operation in the termination of Juan Williams…..shame on you. If you are going to hold to the ideology for Williams’ firing, then you need to also fire Schiller for her comments about Williams – they were far worse and Williams spoke no evil. Will you do that? Or will you keep her and make it VERY apparent that his termination WAS for politically motivated reasons…..Come on NPR,,,there are an awful lot of money donating eyes watching your next move…. >
      > As Matthew Vadum writes, “The liberal billionaire- turned-philanthropist has been buying up media properties for years in order to drive home his message to the American public that they are too materialistic, too wasteful, too selfish, and too stupid to decide for themselves how to run their own lives.”
      >

      >
      > Without Soro’s money, would the Saul Alinsky’s Chicago machine still be rolling? Would SEIU, ACORN, and La Raza still be pursuing their nefarious activities? Would Big Money and lobbyists still be corrupting government? Would our college campuses still be retirement homes for 1960s radicals? Yes, yes, yes, and yes
      >

I have heard comments about the wonderful society in Cuba. They have made comments about the “Hope” of the commies in Venezuels. They are anti American. The comment about Christians “Evaporating” is highly ofensive to at least 60% of Americans. There is one way to stop this insanity. Give funds to your local Public Broadcasting Station BUT stipulate that none of your donated money be used for NPR.

@ Cheez, I saw him take stances that I did’nt agree with, but I also felt maybe he didn’t either. He had a role to play and he played it, that was his job. When it came to comon sense, he would usually affirm it was common sense. Anyways, welcome to the world of sanity Juan. I hear you got a raise at Fox. liberals can also be just, good and honest. as is Mr. Williams.

his firing seems to be a political maneuver relating to his relationship w/ fox news.
we don’t know it all yet but this action has opened the door to investigative inquiry.
      so lets keep INQUIRING!

we in the tea party NEED TO APPEAL TO HONEST LIBERALS AS WELL

most liberals are not evil socialistic fools who want to run your life. they just see things differently. this is a chance to open our doors and appeal to them. ask for their help (the tea party can use a little liberal sanity in its ranks)

we need to welcome freethinkers, democrates and ANYONE who mistrusts the current admin and the far left.

      think big and honest.

I think Juan is like many people in the country. Many common people (especially of the baby boomer generation) are democrats. They hardly understand liberal conservative or progressivism. But, when this happened with Juan, and all the rest of the bunk they’ve been hearing – you can betcha they are saying, “Hmmm, democrat party sure isn’t like it use to be.”

      Soros = Puppet Master

One of the Blaze bloggers earlier last night asked a question of Soros = “What is his agenda with Iran?”

If Soros indeed is having an agenda for Iran and the Gulf area there is one extremely simple one to the equation = OIL.

If he controls the untapped supplies of North and South America combined; then disrupts the only othre substantial supplies within the world then HE is the worlds ultimate King without a Kingdom.

I rarely agree with Juan William’s comments, but we all know that in America Juan Williams has the Constitutional right to his comments… In a free society, we are free to engage in a choice of options. If we don’t like a certain news show or radio show, we can simply change the channel… This is what freedom is all about!

NPR, National Progressive Radio, is trying to shut down our freedoms by forcing all of us to listen to just one point of view: THEIR point of view. No choices, no options, no freedoms.

      I absolutely concur TRUTHTALKER.

I have been middle of the road with Juan for years, however, I have never found myself in lass agreement with him since President Obama has been elected. I actually lost some respect for him along the way.

That said, what NPR did to him was very stupid and very telling of how biased, narrow minded, and hypocritical they are. They absolutely wronged Juan, and I welcome him back to the side of truth and light. I think the veil has been lifted from his eyes.

People on this blog, like Megyn Kelly during her interview with CAIR, invoked free speech rights. Making such a claim totally misses the point. If I feel like telling my boss that he is an idiot and he fires me, that is not a violation of free speech rights. The First Amendment is talking about the government, not private enterprise–even subsidized private enterprise. NPR made a decision on the basis of Juan Williams professionalism. They claim that he had crossed the line from reporting facts to offering opinions on one too many occasions. They also found that his comments about fearing Muslims on a plane hurt his credibility, which is likely did for NPR’s audience. This is not intolerance of differing views, but a recognition–still not recognized widely on Fox News–that you have to separate facts from opinion and demand that your journalists focus on the former to the complete exclusion of the latter. This is not a violation of free speech.

Now, I happen to think that NPR was too harsh. First, while introduced as an analyst on Fox, he was also a guest on a show known for being an opinion show (O’Reilly quit pretending he is a fact-oriented journalist long ago), so opining is clearly expected in that venue. Second, while the comments he made were stupid and insensitive, they didn’t merit such a harsh punishment; suspension and a talking-to would likely have sufficed.

There are many here who like what he said, since it reflects their views–just as Southerners in the ’40s using racial epithets about African Americans was widespread. However, we have learned that just because the majority believes something, it doesn’t make it right. More importantly, the idea that one should get scared on a plane because their are traditional Muslims on board is just silly when you examine the percentage of Muslims committing terrorist acts–particularly in America (n.b.: Rand put out a study showing that crazy left-wing environmentalists and right-wing nut jobs commit far more terrorism than Muslims in this country). So it makes Juan Williams look stupid to make such statements. Further, as a Black man who has complained about white cab drivers not wanting to pick up a Black man in large cities because most African Americans are law-abiding, his comments on Muslims makes him look particularly insensitive.

So, at the end of the day, NPR looked overly harsh, Williams stupid and insensitive, and Fox looked like its old self again–just like its fans on this blog.

I respect the fact that Juan Williams can disagree without being disagreeable. I think a lot more things would get solved and a lot less friction in the country if there were more people like Juan Williams. He leans left, I don’t agree with much he says but at least he puts it in a way that I can understand and respect why he says it. He doesn’t yell and shout, he doesn’t demonize the other side. NPR should be ashamed.

I‘m hearing hear that Juan’s First Amendment Rights have been violated, just like with Dr. Laura. Your lack of the simplest concepts in the Constitution are showing. The Constitution prevents the government from restricting speech, not your employer. You’d better learn about the Constitution before you wrap yourself with it.

I’m not saying I agree or disagree with his termination. But for a journalist whose reputation depends on his ability to be objective, saying your afraid of anyone dressed like a Muslim damages your credibility. Straight news hosts on FOX are more or less required to express a fear of Muslims, because that’s what FOX selling, but other networks have a different standard.

And think about it. Are you saying big companies can’t fire employees? The next thing you’ll be saying is that employees have a right to collective bargaining. which is a Nazi thing.
