WLUK reports:
There was more finger-pointing Monday on both sides of the state budget impasse.
It began with Senate Minority Leader Mark Miller’s letter to the governor and Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald. It requests a face to-face meeting near the Wisconsin-Illinois border “as soon as possible to resume negotiations.”
Gov. Scott Walker Monday afternoon refused the request calling the Democrat’s approach ridiculous.
“For the last several weeks, both Senator Fitzgerald and my administration have been reaching out to reasonable senators, many of whom are very interested and willing to come back to the state of Wisconsin. And time and time again the person standing in the way of making that possible is Senator Mark Miller,” said Walker.
The governor‘s accusation led to a flurry of angry responses from Democrats who say Walker’s misrepresenting the talks.

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 8:44pmSo is the Minority Leader physically restraining the “reasonable” ones who want to come home and take care of business? Somehow I think if some or one want to come back all they have to do – all they have ever had to do, is to just do it.
Stand strong, Governor Walker. Stand strong. Time to do what you have to do to move on and get the job done. You have been more than patient.

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 2:14pmGlad to see he is standing firm. These Democrats think they have control (technically they are holding the citizens of Wisconsin hostage). They are mistaken if they think American people will be intimidated by cowards.

And again, start speaking the language of the politicians and lawyers; money.
If you are a resident of Wisconsin and your leader fled the State, you are not being represented.
No taxation without representation.
Send a message – I will not pay taxes until I am properly represented. You watch how fast they will return and Obama will take a stand once the slush fund (taxpayers) stoops coming in.

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 9:57amSome interesting facts. Wisconsin total workforce 2,508,000. Workers who claim to be union and pay union dues 355,000 =14.2% Workers who claim to not be union but are forced to pay due because of their place of employment 380,000=15.1% That 14.2% is sure raising a lot of hell. Check it out. http://www.bls.gov/news.release/union2.t05.htm

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 8:11amThank you Gov. Walker for standing up for the people who elected you! This has gone on far too long!
What would have happened if Republicans had walked out of DC during the Obama-care debate and compromise? Oh silly me, I forgot the mantra – We WON, Get Over It – followed by ignoring the people saying “No!” at town halls across America and then cramming it down our throats with glee – what hypocrites!!!

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 6:32amThese Democrats are fpathetic……..lost the Majority in the midterm elections in November 2010 – and now through EXTORTION the democrats still want their way…..by their cowardly acts of disappearing and running away – into Obama’s homestate of Illinois.
The Democrats lost the Majority in State Government in Wisconsin …..bc their fellow Democrats were voted out in the midterms……..in a landslide shellacking = 772 seats in State Governments across the USA – went to Republicans.
Wisconsin Governor Walker stating the request of the runaway Democrats – to meet along the state line of Wisconsin-Illinois – is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous.
He should present the runaway Democrats and the Unions w a bill for the clean-up of the State Capitol and grounds.

Report Post »then America’s whole system of governing COLLAPSES. They will use “These Tactics” in every single solitary vote they disagree with, in city after city, county after county, state after state, congress after congress. Can you see it now? We would be left with NO REASON TO VOTE ANYMORE. Please STAND STRONG GOV.

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 1:30amGov. Walker said he will publish all the conversations that have been going on for weeks in an effort to get them to come back and I can’t wait to read them, then we will know the truth. I believe it will not look good for the Democrats. What a bunch of cowards. They act like Gov. Walker is the one that will not talk, it is them.
