Woman Charged With Throwing Grandaughter Off 6-Story Mall Walkway

McLEAN, Va. (AP) — A toddler has died after police say she was thrown six stories off a shopping mall walkway in Virginia by a woman believed to be her grandmother.

Police said the 2½-year-old girl fell Monday night from a walkway that links the mall to a parking garage at Tysons Corner Center. The girl was taken to a hospital where she later died.

Woman Charged With Throwing Grandaughter Off 6 Story Mall Walkway

Carmela Dela Rosa, charged with throwing her grandaughter off a 6-story walkway.

Fairfax County police spokeswoman Tawny Wright said 50-year-old Carmela Dela Rosa of Fairfax was arrested and charged with aggravated malicious wounding. Wright said the charge will be amended to murder now that the girl, Angelyn Ogdoc, has died.

Wright said the toddler and Dela Rosa were leaving the mall with family when Dela Rosa allegedly picked the girl up and threw her off the walkway.

      That’s not what an eye for an eye means. An eye for an eye is a call for restraint, that if you steal from a man that he will not be able to cut your hand off. It is to protect against extremes, not to promote them.
      That said, throw off a 12 story building…with her hand tied behind her back and her eyes glued open.

    I know they said she did this and eveybody says they can’t believe it but watching the vid it gave no indication as to how they know it was deliberate or am I missing something. Was it the other relatives that say she did it? “It happened so fast they had no time to react” To horrible to believe! I guess I want to have some hope this was an accident and the kid got over the rail on her own mischief. If this is the case and she is guilty of this then she should see no mercy in this life or the next.

      It wasn‘t clear but they did say there were other family members and that they couldn’t react fast enough.. Possibly, they are the ones who claim it was on purpose. Besides if the rail was to my chest I couldn’t imagine a 2 year old being able to climb over it and jumping before the family could stop it… IF the 2 year old was actually to make it that far up to begin with, which I doubt.

      On the Death of a Beautiful Girl.

      THE young, the lovely pass away,
      Ne’er to be seen again;
      Earth’s fairest flowers too soon decay;
      Its blasted trees remain.

      Full oft we see the brightest thing
      That lifts its head on high,
      Smile in the light, then droop its wing,
      And fade away, and die.

      And kindly is the lesson given,
      Then dry the falling tear;
      They came to raise our hearts to heaven,
      They go to call us there.

      The bible predicts that in the last days the natural love of people will grow cold. That goes for the natural love of parents and grandparents for children. Just look at the horror in Hickory N.C. where the little girl was killed and dismembered and body parts scattered. We now have 3 missing boys in Ohio and the dad is the main suspect. Remember the two precious little girls in Florida with the moms or stepmoms the main suspects.

      There have always been, from time immemorial, cases where these type of things have occured but it is becoming more commonplace now. We have removed morality and biblical principle training from the education of children and replaced it with the END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS mantra.Kids learn very early that it is OK to KILL a baby in the womb, so why not later. If the child gets in the way, eliminate it.The America that many of us grew up in is disappearing and being replaced with the anything goes generation. GOD will not stand for it. Our judgement is coming, be prepared!

      I have personal experience from a fanatical muslum uncle and what he did to me as a kid for several years to directly understand; unlike this little girl (RIP) I did have the chance to finally fight back and let HIM understand what pain and terror is truly like.

      Monsters need to be confined, jail or a mental ward, and let them remember what they have done and the most precious gift taken out of the world – a human life.

      her situation will, most assuredly, get worse once convicted. Inmates that hurt children, especially if they kill them, will NEVER have rest in prison. They constantly get pummeled by other inmates, CONSTANTLY, if not killed by them. She will be in lockdown, single celled, and spend 23 hours a day in such for the rest of her life. That is, if some bleeding heart judge doesn’t give her probation because it was determined she had a bad childhood, temporily insane, drunk, under influence of drugs, and is a good person who just had a brain fart.

      I’d go a little bit further and try for the death penalty. Why should the taxpayers pay literally millions to keep a worthless person like this locked up for 30+ years? Make a statement. The only reason there is even an argument that the death penalty is not a deterrent, is because essentially don’t have it now. When it is only used in “extremely heinous” cases, and there are numerous appeals over the 25 years on death row, that is not a deterrent by any stretch. Does anyone know what the leading cause of death is for people on death row? Lethal injection? Nope. Electrocution? Nope. Prison violence? Nope. Suicide? Nope. IT’S OLD AGE! A society that ignores God’s law and tries to be “Nicer than God”, will eventually self destruct from incremental wickedness.
