Woman Facing Felony Charges After Waitress Is Attacked for Delivering Wrong Order at Red Lobster

A 20-year-old woman is facing felony charges for allegedly attacking a waitress who brought the wrong food to her table at a Red Lobster in Illinois.

Ania Wilkes of Ferguson, Mo., has been charged with aggravated battery and mob action, St. Louis NBC affiliate KSDK-TV reported.

Cell phone video captured the attack, which occurred Dec. 30, 2011. The Associated Press reported another server took the order meant from Wilkes and her three companions. Investigators said when the waitress brought them the wrong order, one woman threw a drink in her face before all four at the table punched and pushed her, according to the AP.

The waitress reportedly suffered cuts to her nose and forehead as well as a swollen eye.

Police released footage of the incident in February, appealing to the public for help in identifying the assailants involved. According to KSDK, three of the four have been identified, and Wilkes is the first one charged.

More charges are expected at a later date, KSDK reported. Wilkes is not in custody.

      I knew that it had to be a black person doing the attacking just by reading the headline. The Blaze only shows non-stories of random violence when it involves blacks. This type of behavior happens among all races but Blaze readers love to paint pictures with a broad brush. The Beckt@rds on this site are as bad as the ignorant woman attacking the waitress.

    Without ever looking at the video, how did I know the four women assaulting the waitress were black?
    Just like New York City when David Dinkins was elected mayor and the blacks were assaulting people shouting, “we own the city now”. Now with Obama in the White House, blacks believe that they own the entire country, and of course, Eric Holder makes sure that criminal blacks are protected from prosecution. Let’s hope America wakes up in November.and realizes the horrible mistake they made in 2008.

    Considering 90% or more of the violence perpetrated is black on black I suggest it is their instinctual hatred of those who caused them to be here in the first place, other blacks from other tribes in Africa.       So, you think we should generalize and say all black women act like this? I do not agree with that. Again, there are good and bad in every race, part and parcel of the HUMAN race. I do agree that how you are raised has a lot to do with your actions and re-actions. I sometimes think only this type of thing is reported when it fits a “stereotype”, and who benefits from that? Who wants to divide us more into “us” and “them”. I don’t like some of the things being said on the blog, it makes the blog sound like their stereotype of the right. Who benefits from that?       There are millions of us who are black conservatives who were never raised to behave like this either, our voices are rarely seen or heard in the media.

      I am appalled and embarrassed when people in the black community act like this.

      The sad part is as a result of the race hustlers and the media, as black republicans we are now getting blasted from both sides, most of those on the left call us uncle toms and sell outs and it seems almost everyday, I read more and more comments on the right from people who believe that we are all nothing but ignorant, hateful savages because we are black.

      KEV, I know a few black conservatives, but I think you may be slightly overstating the numbers when you say “millions”. To the point, the reason this happens more among the black members of society is 50 years of entitlement mentality. Yes, there are absolutely moronic, jackasses in every race, but if actions like these are just as common among the white race please post links to examples. A huge segment of people in this nation have digital video capture in the pockets or purses and yet there are no videos of this type of activity popping up, but go to youtube and you can spend an entire day watching these videos of black yutes acting in this manner. The white kids on youtube are just smoking pot and wiping out on their skateboards and bikes, they are a drain on society but they don’t tend to be violent to anyone except themselves.

      Knee-jerk? The posts here occurred fully a quarter year AFTER the attack and AFTER some physical evidence such as the video appeared. In the Martin-Zimmerman attack, the “jury” was in before anybody even saw a current picture of the two parties. Bounties and threats of violence have abounded.

      I agree. Nearly all the black people that I know are conservative, church-going, homeschooling Christians… although I don’t really know many black people outside of my family members and people that go to my Baptist church… most of the people I know are either related to me, go to church with me, are in our homeschool groups, or go to gymnastics with my daughter… a different kind of culture/lifestyle than the people that repeatedly appear in these videos probably live in.

      Just because there are some black people that behave like hooligans, doesn’t mean that they all do.

      BROOKE, you seem like a nice person, but just because you have children with a black man doesn’t give you some insight into the black community. You seem to live in a safe, cozy bubble. I hope you get to live your whole life there.       1TrueOne55 – I do not believe his attitude is why we have racism. I grew up in the 50′s when blacks worked hard, were religious and were respectful and respected, at least in the north. Now they are creating for themselves a stereotype of welfare, give me more, violence, gangs, fatherless families, and protests. They can change their image, the just need leaders who really care about them and not just making money off of racism. 10s of thousands died to free them for the slavery their own countrymen sold them into. Its been a long time, no more excuses.

    Well I must be a racist now, because even before I read the story, I thought to myself a black was involved. Unfortunately, my worst fears turned out to be the truth. Whew, glad to see I am not racist. Had the attackers been white, I would had to apologize for unfairly assuming it was blacks.

    What is wrong with people? I don’t care if you are white, black, purple, or green. If you get this angry by something like this, you have serious anger management issues and need to see psychiatric help.

      I am not a racist.
      I have lived in many foreign country’s learned patience and Tolerance with all ethnicities
      However, that said, we have had affirmative action for 50+ years, hiring quotas, lowering of scores, welfare, free housing, food stamps etc etc. Time to end The Great Society
      The Black Americans have been kept on the Liberal Democratic plantation and this is what we end up with. Facts are tough to dispute. – You can just name call all you want but the truth WILL prevail

    This is what liberalism and libertarianism provides America… the right to be as obnoxious, idiotic and felonious as one wants to be. One ideology is already in place throughout America, the other wants to get their two cents in on a larger scale. Conservatives need to keep BOTH in check at every opportunity and run their arses underground where they belong and away from the public square for all our safety.

      Wasting billions of tax dollars on a pointless “War on Drugs” is about as futile and inept an exercise as trying to curtail climate change with a global tax or stimulate an economy by printing money. It would be far cheaper to provide healthcare and rehab to the 15% of casual users who develop a chronic addiction versus the billions spent trying to keep it away from everyone. But despite all the money, time, and effort put into it by the U.S. government it is still like little boy blue trying to stick his finger in the ****. Hell, it’s easier to buy meth than it is to get decongestant now days. But go right ahead and continue with your sanctimonious and moralistic self flattery by choosing to stand against a handful of “bad’ drugs. I feel so much better knowing my tax dollars are going towards an utterly useless war on drugs and enormous prison system just so you can maintain your undeserving level of pretentious self preening.
