Woman Pepper Sprays Rival Black Friday Shoppers at Calif. Walmart

LOS ANGELES (The Blaze/AP) — A woman shot pepper spray to keep shoppers from merchandise she wanted during a Black Friday sale, and 20 people suffered minor injuries, authorities said.
The incident occurred shortly after 10:20 p.m. Thursday in a crowded Los Angeles-area Walmart as shoppers hungry for deals were let inside the store.
Police said the suspect shot the pepper spray when the coverings over the items she wanted were removed.
“Somehow she was trying to use it to gain an upper hand,” police Lt. Abel Parga told The Associated Press early Friday.
He said she was apparently after some electronics and used the pepper spray to keep other shoppers at bay.
Officials said 20 people suffered minor injuries. Fire department spokesman Shawn Lenske said the injuries to least 10 of them were due to ” rapid crowd movement.”
Parga said police were still looking for the woman.
The store remained open and those not affected by the pepper spray continued shopping.
A video posted on YouTube may show the incident. It reportedly shows the moments after a woman pepper sprayed shoppers over video games:

I told my husband I was looking forward to the videos of them being trampled by the shoppers. Form a human chain to block people from work, piss people off. Violence erupted at Black Friday sales across the U.S. with one bargain-hunter left critically injured after being shot during a robbery and 15 other people injured when an angry shopper used pepper spray.
Several of the incidents took place at Wal-Mart stores as millions of Americans loaded up on holiday purchases.
Update 12:17 p.m. ET: A robot removed a suspicious device that led to the evacuation of a Wal-Mart store in Cave Creek, Ariz., Maricopa County, sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputies told KPHO-TV of Phoenix that they had reason to believe the device might have been an explosive and said whoever left it in a refrigerator at the store Thursday could face felony charges. Police dogs swept the store for further possible devices, they said, and the store reopened late Thursday night, KPHO reported.
Update 11:57 a.m. ET: An off-duty police officer used pepper spray on shoppers at a Wal-Mart in Kinston, N.C.
Kinston police Sgt. Roland Davis said an off-duty officer whom the store had hired to help with security used the chemical while trying to make an arrest during a disturbance. Unconfirmed reports said as many as 20 people were affected.

But to hurt other people for stuff. Its just stuff if it was all gone tomorrow would we care about are stuff? Or would we care on how to live? Just crazy how stuff overides people.

Very convenient that they still are looking for her. If she was doing it to get her hands on merchandise, they would have her on video, and people all around would have more than likely grabbed her. If she just shot and ran, then it was most definately protest. They said they were going to protest and this is probably one persons idea as to how.

I have no idea why people would put themselves through stuff like this just to save a few bucks on made in China junk. The majority of people out shopping are buying things they can‘t afford and don’t really need. There is so much hype to buy, buy, buy because that would give our elected leaders something to use as they campaign for re-election.
Here’s a tip: if you don‘t have the money to purchase it outright you don’t need it! Charging your purchases on a credit card shouldn’t be a resort because you are just deferring paying for the items you purchase. Now is the time to invest in yourself not plasma tvs.
