Woman Spends 2 Hours Eating 30,000 Calorie ‘Christmas Dinner’

A New Jersey resident striving to become the world’s fattest woman got one step closer this holiday season. That’s because her “Christmas dinner” consisted of a 30,000 calorie feast (which included two whole turkeys) that took two hours to eat.
Donna Simpson, 46, is already about 650 lbs and is looking to gain 350 more before hitting her goal weight of 1,000 lbs.
The Daily Mail gives a run down of what Simpson ate:
The single mother-of-two tucked into two 25lb turkeys, two maple-glazed hams, 15lbs of potatoes (10lbs roast, 5lbs mashed), five loaves of bread, five pounds of herb stuffing, four pints of gravy, four pints of cranberry dressing and an astonishing 20lbs of vegetables.
The 5′2 Donna defended her £150 meal, saying: ‘I eat as much as I want, whenever I want but at this time of year I really go all out.
Simpson, who insists she is “healthy,” makes a living by making guest appearances and running a website where people can pay to watch her eat.

Are we to believe she is supported by people paying to watch her eat? This story has so many holes (albeit donut holes) in it that it is hard to get all warm and tingly about but Chris Matthews might like it a lot. Guest appearances where and to say what? So long as the rest of us aren’t buying the turkey sandwiches with everything on them (literally) for her and her children and don’t have to pay to have the apartment or house door made wider, the bed reinforced, she has a right to do her thing. I just don’t want to here her supporters talk about her getting her free “Medicaid” and food stamps, subsidized housing, gas and electric she has “a right to receive” for herself and her children. Don’t want to pay for her later “decision to lose weight” at the expense of her neighbors and fellow Americans, either. Or that she must be supported by taxpayers because she can’t get a job due to discrimination of fat people. I don’t think we should even pay for her to get counseling as she is fully aware of what she is doing and has no illusions about it. Future medical bills–we don’t want them either? The Questions: Who (what helpful member of the family or concerned friend) bought and cooked all this food for her to eat at this one meal? Was she mad when she found her children eating a small portion of this (her) food? Or did they make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for them to eat so as not to deprive her? What does she do for Christmas dinner leftovers to eat? Is there no one of influence to talk some sense into her? I pray she finds someone who has the courage to at least ask her about who will be there for her children when she dies an early death.

True, this defines stupidity of ones actions on a new level; the slow commiting of suicide by the way of utter gluttony. I once weighed 400+lb myself, and got so sickened of the sight in a mirror one day that I have since dropped to 200lb and maintain that, +/- 5 or so lb.

Why, the blatant overconsumption of capitalism, of course. Who doesn’t despise a glutton? Stories like this make people think twice about what Mrs Obama and the Nanny State is saying, and think, “maybe she’s right- maybe government SHOULD regulate what and how much we eat”. With the ultimate goal, of course, of government micromanaging our lives in every respect. After all, if we can determine someone is eating too much, it‘s easier to determine they’re spending too much on clothing, their houses are too big, their cars are too big, they’re making too much money, and so on. They already want to tell us what kind of cars to drive, what kind of fuel we’ll burn in them, what kind of light bulbs we’ll use, what kind of heat we’ll have, they want to set a size limit on housing in certain areas, so why not tell us what and how much we can eat? Isn’t it all for our own good?
If Glenn Beck has taught me anything, it is to look for the real reason behind what we are allowed to see.

But on the bright side, her kids will collect her social security check after her morbidly obese ass dies. As long as the money doesn’t have to go toward home reconstruction after they have to cut walls out to get her dead body out.
