Let’s face it no matter where we go–to work, restaurants, the post office, the mall, Christmas celebrations, etc.–we are basically sitting ducks if some nut decides to go off.

Maybe I’m paranoid or just being cautious–but I sit near an exit at meetings, funerals, church, public events. I’m watching the people around me at convenience stores, restaurants, etc—just to help my chances in case the unthinkable happens.

I don’t carry a purse, but I like to think I would have busted a chair over that guy’s head or hit him in the face with a stapler or something. Jerks/thugs make me furious.

    Ginger is a hero.

Brave Lady. Thank God she and the other people in that room are alright. As for the perpetrator, he is another body that can be placed at the feet of Obama and the Democrats because of their class warfare rhetoric.

God Bless you Ginger. I only hope that I can someday rise to your level of heroism. Sure the odds were against you, in a big way, but if that weren’t the case, you would be just like everyone else. You are much more of a hero than the guard (who did do his job commendably though).

Unless you‘ve got a brick in there it ain’t going to do anything but get your butt kicked. There wasn’t anything else she could have used?

I’m sorry, but if all I have as a weapon is my purse, then I have no weapon.

One comment. Just saw her interview on TV and when she did the AUCTION thing $50, $50, $55 while holding the purse up that she hit the guy with I was suddenly brought back to reality after seeing mostly professional behavior. To her it was so quickly ALL about making money by selling THE purse. I‘ll bet she’s a liberal too. She should be ashamed of herself after this interview.

Oh, yeah. At the time, she was thinking “If I hit him with my purse, I’ll be a hero and can put the purse on e-bay and make a bundle.”

After the fact, she saw (or someone told her) that she could make some cash by selling it. Just good old American initiative at work here. I hope she gets a bundle for it. She’s earned the right.

Morals can be PRE-ACT or POST-FACT. Neither make her action moral.

Second ammendment rights, but even that would not have helped, since you can’t carry on a school ground. I say people that go through the process of getting a concealed carry permit should be able to carry everywhere, the ones that get the permit are not the people you have to worry about, it is idots like the guy coming shooting, one person with a conceal carry permit could have stopped this quick, this lady is extremely brave and we need more like her.

With all the hate and fear the Progressive Socialist and their media puppets flood on America about class warfare it is no wonder this sick man flipped out like he did. He was a devote fan of Media Matters and swallowed their propaganda. He was a self professed Progressive and demanded “Social Justice” in his writings and in the last moments of his twisted sick life.

His blood and the horror he imposed on those he attempted to kill are on the Progressive Socialist hands.

I agree with gun_slinger. With the gunman’s back to the “men”, and struggling with the lady hero, those cowards just sat there. I certainly don’t want to be on a plane with them if a terrorist tries to take over.
Each one of them should be voted out of office.
