All-Clear Given After World Financial Center Evacuated Over ‘Novelty Grenade’

A World Financial Center building across from the World Trade Center in New York was briefly evacuated midday Thursday after a suspicious package was found.

CNN reported an all-clear was given around 12:20 p.m., and that the package discovered was a “novelty grenade” or a “toy grenade.”

According to WNBC-TV,  authorities ordered an evacuation of the 44-story building after a private security guard spotted the item during a routine X-ray screening and notified police. The package came through the mail, the station reported.

The item was a toy grenade mounted on a plaque that read “Complaint Dept. Pull Pin,” police told the station.

Pretty damned stupid. It just shows that lack of common sense that is prevalent today.

Was this one of the grenades smuggled in the DOJ/BATFE “Operation Fast & Furious”?

Oh, a novelty grenade! Can anyone tell me where I might find a novelty LAWS rocket or perhaps a novelty M1 Abrams tank? Maybe I should just join a novelty army.

Our Marxists Occupiers having fun fighting their War on Capitalism ? Am sure our little misbehaving miscreants are feeling more emboldened by the recent Apple antics of their fellow comrade, Holder.

It seems to me they like getting put into a situation of having to serve and protect communities from the toys available. And if we have to be protected from toys with regulation, then surely they have to regulate the real things.

Before we know it, they will be showing concrete evidence that Jesus didn’t actually literally perform the miracles he is credited with. But you should be fore-warned – keep the Faith you have.

Anyone else than me figure that these false reports and suspicious items are being used to probe and test response times, patterns and all for a soon-to-be real attack or event occuring?

Admittedly they could be copycat calls and such; yet I still have to wonder, as when Al Queda tried to use printer ink cartridges and the printers to bring down cargo planes; some seen it as a controlled test to gague responses, this could be the same.

I think it‘s more a matter of annoyance and bleeding the tax payers’ funds. Just like the Occupies. Typical anarchist , dysfunctional, destructive behavior.

Lmao. You would have been one of those knuckleheads telling all the folks in the stairwells at the Twin Towers to go back up… it’s safer up there. Many got killed because of just that reason. What a dumbarse statement to make DOGGY. Blustery BS.
