CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A Cheyenne man who doused himself with white latex paint in hopes of avoiding a police Taser was hit with the stun gun anyway.
The Taser chase happened Sept. 16, when Cheyenne police went to Brian Mattert’s house on a domestic violence call. The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports that when police arrived, Mattert thought they’d use a Taser on him, so he hastily covered himself in paint and told officers that if they shot him with the stun gun, he’d die.
Officers told him the paint wouldn‘t affect the Taser’s capability. According to police, Mattert scuffled with officers and was hit with a Taser twice before officers handcuffed him.
He faces several criminal charges. Police say the officers’ uniforms had to be cleaned.

Posted on September 26, 2010 at 9:05pmI kept looking for a comment about the tasing of the latex covered gentleman. Somehow Sara Palin was brought into the picture.I suppose the police could have stood and watched the paint dry, however, I heard that’s as exciting as watching grass grow. The police probably will never admit ti, but it no doubt reminded them of a vanilla cream covered donut .

Posted on September 26, 2010 at 9:59amSarah Palin obviously scares the Hades out of the liberal left. Especially since she is gaining in acceptance as being more in line with normal values. Every one doubted her ability to serve as Vp but she is one heck of a lot more intelligent than Biden aka “Goofy”. Fact is she is so much smarter than Obama it is amazing. Now I know why the left kept comparing her with Obama rather than Biden. Palin is a heck of a lot better looking and I got to see her college transcripts. Can’t say the same for Obama. Why would a POTUS spend millions and hire 4 lawyers to keep his college records secret?

Who else could get rich in a media blitz after revealing to the world what a totally incompetent moron she is? What i don‘t respect is the way she claims to be a patriot and implies that anyone who disagrees with her doesn’t love their country. It’s the oldest trick in the book. Shame on her, shame on her supporters.

Somewhat true but not entirely true. My husband wore a white bandage wrapped around his head for several days after I gave birth to our girl. When finished with labor, I gave him a good whop upside his head with my wood handled hairbrush then hollered at him, “Don’t you ever do that to me again! That hurt like crazy! Posted on September 25, 2010 at 10:16pmAs much as I hate to say it, those police officers made an error in judgment.
Latex paint certainly is not flammable, but many paints are. Stun guns with the projectile darts don’t normally make a spark, as the charge is sent directly into the body. But the risk was there.
It is one thing to “taser” a man, but a completely different issue to set a man on fire over a domestic violence call.
I am by no means sympathizing with the accused. I just think that those officers made a mistake. I think that for their mistake they should be made to research, and hold training sessions on actions that police officers should take in out of the normal circumstances.

Posted on September 25, 2010 at 10:08pmso who is stupid, and what are we doing about it……….just trying to link this story with what i really want to say
Now if you want to point fingers it would be of use to point them in the direction where blame is due.
so here it is in step by step so you can get your mind wrapped around this
1) person decides to break law
2) person has no value base to decide right from wrong
3) the family structure is non existent
4) government and educational systems telling population that they know best in raising your child
how is this the governments fault, and what political party is most to blame? well i think it is the welfare system and the schools.
the mentality that the government is there to give you everything is destroying those who partake by removing the reason to better yourself in exchange for an easy ride. now i am not saying that there arent people who need help but the way it is done is detrimental, and with government involvment it starts a machine that is self serving.
example= the democratic party is a very large group that has done a lot to push for welfare. they promise all this stuff and in turn these people tend to vote democratic. But instead of this system helping people get on their feet and then providing for themselves they promote a system that keeps them dependent on a system hence these people tend to keep voting for the people that provide this system. this is very similar to a type of self inclusive slavery. without actually giving these people a way up out of poverty and a way off the system thru education, the system continues to a very large degree a failing eduction system which ensures a large part of this populace to continue the viscous circle.
How do we stop this? how do we help those in need , without making them slaves to the system?
EDUCATION
how do we fix a broken education system that continues this epidemic?
REMOVE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FROM OUR SCHOOLS
AND ALLOW COMPETITION AMONG OUR SCHOOLS…………..CHARTER SCHOOLS AND THE VOUCHER SYSTEM
This will eliminate the stronghold over our education allowing us to chose where our students go to school and not letting the education of our students only depend on where they live of how much money they have to decide what education they can get
the competition will on its own drive down school costs and remove bad schools from the choices because they will fail. now this will also have to go hand in hand with ending tenure which is the best way to ensure responsible good educators rise to the top and failures are eliminated as they should be
Our youth is the most important thing we have, they are your futures, but more and more we give away our control, choices of education, and their futures to a government that is proved more and more to be self serving than us serviing
God bless and god help our families and country

Posted on September 25, 2010 at 10:25pmI agree with your statement… There used to be a certain amount of shame as one went to the store to use their “food stamps”. But since the libs have taken shame out of the equasion by giving people debit cards instead “food stamps”, there isn’t any shame involved. I was raised in a liberal state, I now reside in a conservative state. What’s the difference? In the liberal state there was a bar on every street corner, in the conservative state there is a church on every corner. There is less crime in the conservative state that I now live in. Bring the pledge back to schools. It will make a difference.

Posted on September 25, 2010 at 10:40pmDude, Bill Clinton did more to reduce the benefits, as well as the reinforcements, of the welfare system than any president before or after. Last I checked, he was a democrat.
There are medications available for your condition. Talk to you doctor about aripiprazole, or olanzapine, or risperidone, or quetiapine, or clozapine, or ziprasidone. None of them are perfect, they all have their side effects, but they should be quite efficacious in treating your disordered thought process, eg “how is this the governments fault, and what political party is most to blame? well i think it is the welfare system and the schools.“ or ”Our youth is the most important thing we have, they are your futures, but more and more we give away our control, choices of education, and their futures to a government that is proved more and more to be self serving than us serviing”
I think your heart is probably in the right place, but some connections a little higher may be loose or need re-routing. Seriously dude. Some of the stuff you wrote makes no logical sense. If you can’t afford any of those newer drugs (and yeah, typically they run 3-8 hundred dollars a month) the older phenothiazine, thioxanthines, and butyrophenones are much much cheaper, but have significant drawbacks. too bad no one here wants health care reform. at least the drug companies are getting rich, so i guess that’s the most important thing.

Then you would absolutely love fried bullfrog legs.
We are off on our farm’s back forty, down by lake edge enjoying a Saturday afternoon fish fry. Lots of folks from our rural farming community are enjoying sipping white lightning and swapping lies. Our guest of honor is Mamie J. Ross, our schoolmarm. She taught four generations of our family and she is the most respected and most loved woman around. Mamie J never drinks white lightning, to set a good example, but she loves her fried perch and blue gill, with black eyed peas and cornbread.
A best friend, Johnny England, has a brand new pocket knife, a highly treasured item for Okie farm kids. He is bragging on his pocket knife to Mamie J then up and asks, “Ma’am, would y’all done like some fried bullfrog legs?” Mamie J smiles, “Why Johnny, I surely would! Thank you!”
Off runs Johnny over to our lake, pocket knife in hand. Not long, Johnny comes running back with a fine pair of big bullfrog legs which are promptly fried and served to our guest of honor, Mamie J.
Mamie J is sitting there on a stump, plate in lap, just grinning and loving her fried bullfrog legs. Johnny is happy as a dead pig lying in sunshine, he is grinning ear-to-ear having pleased our beloved schoolmarm.
There is a bit of commotion. I look, Mamie J looks, all look. Here comes a huge bullfrog crawling through our picnic area, his hind legs missing. Everyone looks over at Mamie J who never drinks. She quickly lays her plate and fried bullfrog legs aside then says to my uncle Luther, “Y’all pass that fruit jar of white lightning over here.” I‘ll be if Mamie J doesn’t take a big ol’ gulp of white lightning then wipes her mouth with the back of her hand.
Women cover their mouths with their hands, eyes of men become as big as bullfrog eyes, Mamie J never drinks, she is our schoolmarm! Mamie J didn’t have another bite to eat the rest of our Saturday afternoon fish fry, she even walked home earlier than usual.
Now there is a story better than some stupid boy who paints himself a bland drab color.
