‘X Factor’ Judge Allegedly Tweets Endorsement of Ron Paul — Then Deletes It (UPDATED)

Nicole Scherzinger, X Factor judge and lead singer of the pop girl group The Pussycat Dolls, allegedly sent out a tweet late last night that caught the eye of celebrity gossip hounds:

Nicole Scherzinger TweetNow it’s not usual for entertainment stars to give their two cents on politics, as we are all aware of the long list of celebrities who came out to stump and bank for Barack Obama in 2008. But Scherzinger’s tweet seemed to be a breath of fresh air for the many who support Ron Paul and his more libertarian critique of our current government.

But wait.

If you go to Scherzinger’s official Twitter account right now, you will see that the warm words for Paul are no where to be found. Without any explanation for the tweet’s disappearance, many may wonder if the star’s handlers advised Scherzinger to avoid voicing support for a candidate that many have criticized as being outside the mainstream.

GossipCop notes that singer Kelly Clarkson endorsed the Texas Congressman for president last month and saw a huge bump in album sales. The 192 percent album boom, however, did not come without any controversy. Clarkson was skewered by many fans and Twitter followers who were unsatisfied about the congressman’s positions on same-sex marriage and abortion, several followers even made the accusation that Paul is a “racist.”

Clarkson later told an angry Twitter follower that “I have never heard that he’s a racist? I definitely don’t agree with racism, that’s ignorant.” Clarkson has stated that she supports Paul based off his emphasis for more limited government, and told one critic that, “I love all people and could care less if you like men or women. I have never heard that Ron Paul is a racist or homophobe?”

We‘ll have to wait and see if such critics were the reason for Sherzinger’s tweet retraction.

UPDATE (6:45 pm)

Sorry Ron Paul fans, Billboard and Rolling Stone are reporting that Scherzinger was one of three musicians who had their Twitter accounts hacked early Wednesday morning to tweet pro Ron Paul messages. Scherzinger along with punk rockers Rise Against and No Doubt all tweeted similarly-phrased Ron Paul endorsements on official Twitter accounts, which were deleted by each artist after several hours, have been confirmed to Billboard.com as hacks. All three artists are signed to Interscope records, a possible clue for any investigators.

The most shocking of the tweets at the time would have had to come from Rise Against, a Chicago-based foursome known for liberal political activism and lyrics.

    Bottom Line… Ron Paul’s misguided foreign policy scares me… But not as much as a 2nd Obama Term… I think many countries would understand (and maybe welcome) America becoming a somewhat Isolationist State until we can get our house back in order..

    America May be the biggest and best country in the world, but that doesn’t mean we need to play nurse-maid to the world. If other countries have problems, than they should deal with them themselves. Because if we had problems here, only a few countries would even offer help, and even then, they probably wouldn’t be much help.

      His foreign policy doesn’t scare the people that matter – the troops. He get’s more support from military personnel than all the other candidates combined!! He’s the only one with a true Conservative foreign policy. If your scared that’s your problem, man up! Foreign aid, spreading democracy, policing the world, protecting euroweenies so they can spend their own money on socialist programs is not Conservatism. It saddens me that progressives have been able to infletrate the GOP.

      What courage! They teach us young people courage as we were growing up. Its about standing in the line of fire and taking it. Now its called social courage, standing for immoral behaviour, calling it good and acceptable…so easy these days as no one is opposing you. It takes real courage to stick to your guns. She has it, but got afraid about what was coming. Do not fear! If you truly believe lets say in MERIT Performance then stick to it even if you know four of the only blacks you have under you will not merit.       Onikaze, you need to do your homework. Paul is not an isolationist, he’s a non-interventionist. There is a huge difference. How can you say that Paul’s foreign policy scares you?       Hey, there is nothing wrong with being skeptical of Ron Paul, or anyone. All that his supporters want is an honest conversation about it. I wasn’t a fan a while ago, but I looked at his positions and did my own research, just like Glenn says we should do. And you know what? I feel like he makes a lot of sense. He’s actually a veteran, he has seen war, the chief official of the Bin Laden Unit has endorsed him, the chief of the Mossad has said that Iran achieving nuclear energy is not a threat and even a nuclear weapon is not an existential threat to Israel. He even says he doesn’t want Iran to get a weapon, but he feels there are other ways to deal with it than bombing Iran, which is considered an act of war. All I hope is that people do their own research, make their opinions, and have an honest conversation where we can talk TO each other and not AT each other.

      North Korea, and Iran are isolationist states. This is what isolationism means, not the misleading definition the media gives it.

      ARRRGGGHHH!!! I Support RP! But for the life of me, I can not understand why so many of his supporters are hell bent on proving that they are as smart as him. Look you idiots, ONIKAZE is admitting he has some issues with Paul’s foreign policy, but then clearly states that there is some logic to the premise. I wonder if some of you guys would actually be bummed out if Paul won. Because that would mean that so many regular folks also voted for him.
      Do you not understand that in EVERY election, candidates must appeal to people that may have some differences with them. For crying out loud, you guys are the worst kind of friends a candidate can have.     What I’ve been thinking lately is that Ron Paul should turn the age-old question around to the establishment and ask them…Will you support the ticket if I win?

    It‘s a question I’d have to think and pray long and hard on, because I’m not a Paulbot, and his foreign policy and protectionism do make me nervous. But I do think he would clean our economic house and restore personal liberty in a way that the others wouldn’t. So could I vote for him if he were our nominee? Yes, but I would hope that he would be open to incremental changes in our foreign policy rather than sudden, radical ones.

      I think Paul’s Foreign Policy would stop sudden changes. Reason being is we can no longer afford to Police the World, the USA is bankrupted and going father is debt by the minute.       The others along with Obama are the same big government, big taxes, big WARS, and less freedom type. I cannot vote for the lesser of two evils because that is what has gotten us here in the first place.

      @Kevin That’s a great question. I actually think the answer is yes. I think that if Paul were the nominee, he would crush Obama in the General. Look, mainstream conservatives that may not be fully on board with Paul’s foreign policy, will go to the hardened “Abortion Rule”. Which I would agree with. There is not a single candidate that is more pro life than RP. If the GOP expects Paul supporters to support the eventual nominee, why would we also not expect them to support Paul, should he be the nominee.
      I don’t agree with every premise or conclusion that Paul uses in shaping his foreign policy, but my fears of any other candidate doing more harm by standing by while our nation is plunged into economic slavery, is much greater.
      In the end, I also trust Paul’s character, and while I may not agree with him on every single issue, I ALWAYS know he is telling me exactly what he believes.

    I remember way back in oh…2009-2010 there were all these Tea Party people waiving “Don’t Tread On Me” flags, carrying pocket Constitutions, proclaiming a return to state’s rights and quoting the Founders.

      Ron Paul is the best candidate for PODUS becuase he supports the constitution and limited government. If you think otherwise move to Europe. Most people in the US would vote for Ron Paul if they understood what he stands for. If you say that the constitution shouldnt be followed and adhered to maybe we should try you for treason.       I dont consider myself as a Pal-bot, I am a veteran and believe in the Constitution and its adherance. I bet there are a lot of disaffected Dem’s that believe in the constitution as well. and they are not crazy or progressive. The Dem’s used to have a large following of conservatives (Remember the Blue Dogs) well guess what I am sure a lot of them wish they had not given in to the wims of their party.

      Don’t be like them, Republicans need to hold true to the real conservative values and constitutional adherance instead of folding in to the progressive establishment in the party.     Let’s talk about more important things shall we? Like what the International Community is going to do to Americans. Because I have a sense of them painting Americans into being the boogieman. I think one of the many ways they may try to confiscate the wealth of Americans could be through saying Americans support people governments have sanctions against. Take for example: drug cartel leaders. I mean why would they go through the trouble of putting sanctions against Cartel leaders? That seems odd to me, unless? Someone wanted the money of people who use drugs, by freezing their assets? In this day and age Americans must need to be thinking out of the box. Because (since climate change is losing steam) they need another way to confiscate the wealth of middle-America. Oh, if I was bankrupt because I just love my Socialism, I would brainwash people into thinking they were bad, and put sanctions against people the average person may do business with, and then, freeze everybody’s assets. And everyone would tell themselves “I’ve been a naughty boy”, and so you will gladly eat your scolding. Wake-up you dummies.

      And then many Americans would see this thing and say (because you’ve been divided from each other), you’d say “Well I’m not part of those people”, and yet this is the very nature a country is divided. And then still, they would build you into a group to eventually made into a boogieman, as they break-off this country piece by piece, and consume wealth piece by piece. If you don’t start thinking, your grand children will either be dead or living on dirt floors.

      Ron Paul has been busy defending The Constitution, your Freedoms and Liberties against bills like the Patriot Act and The National Defense Act .
      The Dr. also wrote or sponsored 620 bills.
      Which of the 620 did you not agree with? Which of the 620 did your Senators and Congressman vote for or vote against? Which of the 620 was unconstitutional? Why are we not asking these questions?

      Those are good questions, so I decided to take a look….I found this page which is just awesome….. Makes me wonder who voted against these very constitutionally principled bills and why….I only found a couple that I was not too crazy about, but if you put it into real time context you can see why the legislation was written. For example: You didn’t pass bill X so lets try this instead….check it out.

    Ron Paul’s legislation shows that he is not a racist or homophobe? Really? I’m not sure that there is enough there to prove anything. During Paul’s DECADES in Congress, onlyone bill offered up by Paul has been passed…the othe 620 or so bills were defeated.

    You have good reason to like much of what he says, but he has been totally irrelevant since he arrived in Washington.

    You really can’t say anything bad about him, because he never did anything.

      This is the dumbest argument I have ever heard. 90% of the legislation passed in the last 20 years we would be better of without. Hence the reason for dismal place our nation finds itself with.

      It is like somebody that would vote against Hitler through the 30′s in Germany, would have been

      Many of Ron Pauls ideals have been put into operation by other legislatures. For instance Paul had a bill to audit the fed and congress watered it down and one came out in Fran -Dodds name. Go figure.

      The audit found 16 trillion dollars that the fed had not accounted for.

      Ron Paul has said bring home the troops and Obama is doing that.

      Ron Paul says cut back on the military expense and Obama is doing that.

      I have always considered that the more laws that congress pass that the more of my freedoms and liberties they take away.
      so only passing 1 law out of 620, I consider that pretty good !

      Evangelicals should love Ron Paul. It’s hard to be against religion or race if you are a libertarian.
      Santorum basically promises to shove morality and religion on us and that isn’t what the Constitution is all about.

      I didn’t say I have a problem with it, i was just expressing why I think he won’t do as well in SC.

      I think they will go towards Rick Santorum but I personally don‘t think he’s electable. I could be wrong.

      I just think that his views on gay marriage, birth control and civil law comporting to a higher law will scare off moderate voters. If the election comes down to Obama vs Santorum, I think you would see a record low turnout voting wise for people who feel disenfranchised from both parties who represent different forms of big government. If Santorum wasn’t so outside the main stream on gay marriage, birth control and other things, he might’ve been able to garner some of the moderate vote. But when you start comparing homosexuality to “man on dog” and saying that you think birth control is wrong, you are going to completely scare off moderates.

      Again, could be wrong but it’s just my thinking.

    This lady is awesome. I’m sure her publicist had her remove it due the negative press it would draw, but good for her. Someone who actually has a conviction about something and can think on a deeper level than, “my only requirement for our next president is that he has an R next to his name”.

      She forgot the first rule of celebrity. It is only acceptable to be a democrat/liberal.
      If you are a democrat/liberal and you are good at what you do, it will still sell.
