(Updated) X-Rated Weiner Pic Leaked After Breitbart Shows it to Satellite Radio Hosts

You knew the x-rated picture that Andrew Breitbart claimed to have of Rep. Anthony Weiner wasn’t going to stay off the internet for long. It seems today’s the day it got leaked, and it happened on Sirius XM’s “Opie and Anthony” show.
Here’s how it went down according to “Primetime” Sam Roberts, a personality on the show, who spoke with The Blaze.
During an appearance on the pair’s show today, Breitbart was encouraged to show the photo to those in the studio. He did. While passing his phone around, which contained the picture, a studio camera that streams the show online happened to capture the image when the phone stopped in front of it. Someone watching online then quickly took a screen grab from the live stream and tweeted the photo to Anthony Cumia.
That person goes by the name @revolvingmonk:
Soon after, Anthony tweeted out the pic himself and addressed it to several news outlets:
And according to a subsequent tweet from @revolvingmonk, it all happened after he and others requested the hosts show the picture to the online audience:
Roberts said Breitbart may not have known that the photo hit Twitter so fast (see Breitbart’s statement below), but he added Breitbart also wasn’t shy about showing it around. You can listen to relevant sections of the show below, but WARNING: there is some graphic content:
Breitbart had said he wasn’t going to release the pic so as not to shame Weiner. And technically he didn’t.
According to Fox, Breitbart was “mortified“ when he learned the picture did get out and called Anthony releasing the picture a ”complete violation” of trust.
In a statement on Breitbart’s BigGovernment.com, he said he has been showing the picture to “several news producers” in order to prove that he really did have the additional material he claimed to have. He also said he regretted what has now transpired:
Earlier today, a photograph resembling one that I had withheld from publication in the Weinergate saga was released without my knowledge or permission.
Prior to the publication of our story on BigGovernment.com and BigJournalism.com this past Monday morning, it was necessary to show the pictures I had received from our source to several news producers, including several at major news networks, to prove that the additional material I described really did exist, which some have continued to doubt.
This morning, I showed a photograph, which our source claims Weiner sent her, to radio hosts “Opie and Anthony” of the Sirius XM radio network on my mobile device. Somehow, without my knowledge or permission, apparently a picture was taken of my mobile device, and subsequently published by Opie (Gregg Hughes) on Twitter.
Breitbart reiterated that in a tweet:
According to Opie and Anthony’s radio program on Tuesday, however, it also appears Breitbart wasn’t shy about showing off the picture to others a couple nights before the accidental release.* On radio, the hosts were discussing “unreleased” photos and said they could confirm all the photos Breitbart had hadn’t been shown to the public. As evidence, they sited Ann Coulter’s shocking reaction to one such photo during a rendezvous with Anthony and Breitbart at a bar the night before. In fact, later Anthony even tweeted Coulter’s reaction.

Another picture on that site, Which Anthony tweeted with the comment “Ann Coulter just saw a shocking picture. I think her face says it all,” shows what happened when Coulter apparently saw what the hosts were hinting at was the x-rated photo:
The fact that Breitbart apparently showed the photo to Coulter and Anthony does seem consistent with his statement that he was showing it to specific media people. But considering what happened now, one has to wonder if that was the best decision.

In addition, Gregg “Opie” Hughes released a video statement further explaining what happened. In it, he describes the “race” between he and Anthony over who could tweet the picture faster once it was sent to Anthony, and also says he regrets the decision to do so:

So Baba Wawa was right when she said it was the fault of viagra and not Weiner’s (and all the other “ladies” on the View agreed). She then said it was OK for Weiner to have sexting relationships, lie about it and stay in Congress because it was OK for Sarah to use a bus. Boy does that make sense :) I love it when the left is so confused.
