So what prompted the wardrobe choice? Well, Clinton was overseeing the swearing-in of Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Michael Hammer. Apparently, Hammer is quite the fan of the color purple — and it’s well known around the State Department.

“Mike, I was in a real dilemma,” Clinton quipped. “I have pantsuits in nearly every color – except purple,” she said as the crowd laughed.

According to ABC, “Clinton took off the glasses during part of her very personal speech reflecting on Hammer and his record of public service at both the White House and the State Department,” but she put them back on during the oath of office.

And of course it was captured on video:

Funny, yes. But some have emailed us wondering if it is also disrespectful. The oath of office is quite a serious matter, and it invokes upholding and defending the Constitution. Some of suggested this is an example of how the administration makes a joke out of the founding document.

So we’ll pose the question to you:

Though an official FBI report had listed Kenneth as a suicide, it was obvious that he had been severely beaten and had his throat cut.

      Upon Jesse taking the federal government to court, a federal judge ruled that the FBI had not only lied about Kenneth Trentadue’s death, the Bureau was also found guilty of having destroyed evidence concerning the case. In 2001 the Trentadue family was awarded $1.1 million, $250,000 of which remain

    Remember when George Stephanoplois (sp?) went around on talk radio after he left the White House during the Clinton administration? He sure showed a very different side of Hillary. He portrayed her as mean-spirited and abusive to her staff. Something like a devil wears Prada personality. He recalled that she berated and belittled George because he started a meeting that she was late to. He also told a story about Hillary ripping up Bill and Hillary’s bedroom, breaking lamps and overturning furniture, when the Monica story hit the press. George was quickly hired by ABC and I think it was to shut him up. I think he was on either Hannity‘s or Boortz’s program. I don’t Hillary is a very nice person at all from other accounts I have read. Also, geez, can you really stand to hear her speak? She is so bland and monotone.

      I wouldn’t have minded it, if she would have worn them, but took them off for the oath. Instead she did the opposite. She takes them off during the personal speech and record of service, but then puts them back on for the Oath? It doesn’t seem respectful to the oath– If she’s wearing them to bring some fun and because he likes purple, why not wear it for that part of the speech?

The Leftmedia has recently wondered out loud how the Obama daughters might continue their father’s reign.
