He also told them when they made up their mind to move the country moved with them. Another reason to tell them they are smarter than their parents, because when the parents say that‘s not right they say mom I’m smarter than you I keep up with this stuff on my phone, internet and so on, BUT what got me the most was the god part. Hunt and fish walking on the same trails they first blazed. Their are still millions of us, most are Vets. We are the largest army in the world and we have the most to lose. WE WILL NOT LOSE !!!

The problem with the younger looking to move the country in a different direction is that it is not based on sound Biblical principles, it is based on feelings and immature musing that have not had to develop to a point where the movement makes sense.

I am conservative, don’t like Van Jones, and in my mid 50′s; but I see this more as a motivational speech than some sinister plot. What he is saying is that youth have easy access to wisdom and knowledge. He is also saying that they grew up with the technology and know more about it than most older people. Both of which are true. The video was edited so I can only comment on the parts I heard.

Knowledge and wisdom are two entirely different things. Yes, the youth of today are more fluent in today’s technology (knowledge), but wisdom only comes with age (for some, anyway).
Hopefully,every child is born with a moral compass within him/herself, to know right from wrong and good from evil and the ability to know the difference. That is wisdom.

They need more time in the oven, so to speak. Have you listened to some of the things their brains conjure? Way to shoot for the lowest common denominator, Van. Indeed, well said. It’s kind of funny really, they’re being praised for being able to perform tasks that a common chimpanzee can be trained to do, but ask one of them to make a simple wooden box using power tools, manually change their own oil in their car, or mend a screen in a window and you’ll find yourself looking at a deer in headlights.
People are spending so much time on these monkey machines that they’re neglecting learning real life skills. That too, will come back to bite them in the ass. Quite soon I’ll wager.

Studies have shown that a young brain is not fully developed until sometime in the young persons twenties. Young are not fully capable of fully understanding or rationing all decisions. If I had a dollar for every time I uttered the phrase, “if…(so and so)…told you to jump off a bridge, would you?”, to my children, I would have enough for a really nice night out this weekend. It is a main reason why you usually see young people being the ones persuaded to perform acts of terrorism. They are easily swayed.

This is the most accurate post on this thread, and because of it’s accuracy I want to make two observations.
1. This country is going to experience something it does not want unless we get control of the likes of Van Jones and challenge them. It’s very obvious that nobody in the Obama administration is going to do anything to stop this nonsense while Jones tries to whip-up our youth into open rebellion. Then we have to worry about radicals from the Islamic world that want us all dead. And let’s add to this…how some nations want to collapse our currency and economy. And on and on and on. My point is… we are entering the most dangerous of times in our history. Anyone that denies this is a fool!
2. Because of the dangers that we face mentioned above, the next president is going to have to be tough as nails, and then some. Our standard good-old boy career politician type will NOT work, this person is going to have to be battle hardened. Let me add that I believe in order to beat Obama in 2012 we are going to need either a minority or a female candidate going against him. (not enough room here to go into why, but if you think it through it will dawn on you too). Fortunately for us, and more importantly the Country, we have someone that fits all the above.
I strongly urge that we forget normal everyday politics and go for someone that can get us through the most dangerous times this country has yet to experience. I expect this to get even worse than our own Civil War.
We need Col. Allen West to run for POTUS! Please consider all I have said. Thank you!

We had our disagreements, but I generally considered them bastions of wisdom. Even so, there were those moments when I would say “Yeah whatever, Dad, you don‘t know what you’re talkin’ about.” And more times than not, I was wrong. These kids will learn, as I have learned, that there is some wisdom and knowledge you can only gain through experience. Look what they are all doing. Holding hands, bowing their heads in prayer PASSING THE BILL while the wild maniacs are kicking and screaming and defacing government property outside!
THE POWER OF PRAYER on a collective level…..Jesus said, “When two or more come together in My Name, there I AM in their midst.”
DO IT PEOPLE! THIS IS ALL IT TAKES, PRAYER, FASTING & REPENTANCE. IT IS LENT ALREADY. What better reason to do it? It will override all adversity, and takes no real effort. Look at all the effort the left is putting forth, when all we have to do is come together and pray, fast & repent.
The United States will pay dearly if it does not change its ways, and stop passing laws and protecting all the abominations that the Lord condemns, and we all know what they are. Too many to list.
