    The liberal progressives louding claim to be intellectually superior…UNTIL…they are required to defend thier self described uber smart academic leanings……….THEN…it is always “you are not smart enough to understand”!!

    I personally think liberal progressives HATE and OVERLOOK and form or LOGIC!!

    You see if you disregard LOGIC then you are able to drop any ethics involved in judging your own intellect.

    If you ignore LOGIC, you can claim you are the smartest person in the room without involving the normal conscience affect involved in determining if that is a FACTUAL statement or not.

      I‘ve always argued that leftist’s Achilles heel is a combination of (3) factors: The fact that they do not understand their limitations, followed very closely by their inability to police themselves, and of course the excessive importance they put on college degrees. Each by itself is disastrous, but coupled together in a liberal fashion and you get utter destruction.

      The education thing I can’t quite finger, but I think it’s because liberals generally rose from the lower ranks among us and they never quite got over the fact they were able to go to college. To a liberal, a degree is of the utmost importance; to a conservative, productivity is of the utmost importance.

      Liberals are generally talkers, while conservatives are doers.

      Proggies think they are superior based on their own twisted view of the world that they make up as they go along. We all understand what the debt ceiling is its NO DIFFERENT than a credit limit on a credit card. This country IS BROKE already if we had the money we would have this massive credit line held by the Chinese, Japanese some other nations and of course the Fed.

      What this country is doing is like John/Jane Homemaker asking their creditor to raise their limit after they have already maxed it out but are still making the minimum payment from the little income they have and using other credit lines to pay their larger one. In other words lets say they make a 1000 mo but their monthly bills are 2000 where they are using their credit to pay other bills(food, utility etc) while taking that 1000 coming in to pay the mortgage and credit line. They are broke they are technically bankrupt they just havent filed yet.

      Thats what this nation is doing, spending outside its means. So Jan I/we get it YOU DONT b/c YOU cannot stop spending and think you know better than us. Im curious how many businesses has this creature ran? Proggies are really asking for it I say we call their bluff!

      I understand one thing the libs don’t. I know how to balance a budget! Both in my personal finances and my business. And when I go to work, I actually get work accomplished. Let’s see our government top that!
      I also find it interesting that this debt ceiling is such a crisis that congress was out playing their annual baseball game this weekend and Obama is getting ready to spend hundreds of thousands on his own birthday party.

      He onced promised to go through the budget line by line, he appointed a commsion to make recomendations and now a new commish and YET NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE in 2.5 years.

      Why hasn’t anyone mentioned their pork projects and the huge government waste and duplicity depts.

      The facts are BOTH houses cater to SPECIAL INTEREST on the TAX PAYER dime. Many in washington don’t even know where exactly all the money is going and just simple TAKE more for their NEW pet projects. Also another added bonus is that government can only exist on the TAX PAYER dime which Gov. decides how much to pay themselves, which is usually higher than the TAX PAYER themselves.

      I can assure you that if all the waste fraud and abuse were to be reigned in AMERICANS as whole will be better off. remember we are the most generous nation on the PLANET and our fellow citizens would be much better off if they controlled their OWN money and schools

      One way to limit the entitlement mentality might be to create a federal ban on employer withholding. Give the employee their full, pre-tax check. Every week, instead of happily cashing what’s left of a paycheck and throwing the unseen stub in the trash, an employee would be forced to write the government its weekly/monthly/whatever paycheck for a job well done from their own account. Just a little reminder to Joe Six-Pack that their tax refund isn’t free money, etc. It wouldn‘t be asking the average citizen to do anything that isn’t already required of their employers. It would simplify paperwork for small businesses, who would still be responsible for their matching contributions to your social security, I suppose. Watch the tax rate drop.

      You nailed it. You cannot argue logic with a liberal. A liberal’s world is defined by feelings, not logic. Every problem and solution is based on feelings. A liberal’s mind does not apply logic to problems and solutions. Their solution is to do what feels right. Any attempt to make a logical argument with a liberal will not make sense to a liberal because the logic gets passed through their feelings filter. What remains after passing through this filter is interpreted as a heartless solution with no compassion.

      By the way if the funding problem came down to having the IRS, or the President getting his pay check – we would have a FLAT TAX tomorrow. Same with the Dept. of Education – it would be gone. We don’t need a Constitutional Amendment – just threaten their pay check. Let’s see the Republicans, or the Democrats explain, either not voting for it, or Obama vetoing it…

      @ JB.KIBS – I just watched the NIA film “College Conspiracy”. I’m just heartbroken that our government had a hand in completely destroying our education system. Worse, my own children have become uberliberals thanks to the progressive teachers in their universities. They were taught to be team players not original thinkers and they have lost any sense of the value of risk taking or adventure. So sad to see them being stripped of the ability to survive in the coming social upheaval. I tell them they are welcome to come home when TSHTF, that my wife and I have prepared for the troubles to come, but they laugh and sneer at our preparations. Well, news for them, I was a Boy Scout and being prepared is not the same as being crazy. We have a happy, normal, life and are secure and relaxed knowung that we will survive the future no matter what it brings.

      The Democrats dare not tell the truth about Social Security… they’ve been stealing from the non-existent “lock box” for decades to fund their liberal agenda/vote purchasing schemes… and the stupid RINO/“moderate” faction of the Republican party (including BOTH Gerorge Bushes) have gone along with them whenever they held a governing majority. This is the primary reason we’re in the financial disaster we are.       Sorry I_HATE_LIBS the social security trust fund is not money. It is a play on words. Accounting terminology refers to government accounting as fund accounting and each separate section of government is called a fund. Politicians take the money out as soon as it goes in to the fund account. The fund balance is only an accounting term for an account name. Many years ago politicians started spending that money as fast as they could and continue even today. It is only a play on words.

      There has been the meme that $2.6Trillion is in the SS fund/trust, propagated by the Government and the Federal Reserve.
      Actually, there isn’t a dime. It’s filled with IOUs from our corrupt Government.
      You hear that Obama say he can’t guarantee checks will be sent out?
      This was a mistake on his part as he just admitted there was NO cash in the SS trust.
      And this is also why SS checks WILL be sent out as if they are not, the Federal Reserve will have to explain to 60 Million Americans why there is no cash in the fund.
      And believe me, that’s the last thing they want to do.
      So Seniors on SS? Don’t worry, you WILL get your checks.
      In fact, Geithner has blessed the bill in the House that guarantees SS and the Military get paid first.
      I don’t know about the Democrats supporting it, but I believe it is Political suicide if they don’t. They have noted the backlash over just saying the checks may not go out. And if they don’t, it‘s on the Dem’s heads.

      There hasn’t been a social security “fund” since 1969 when the DEMOCRATS under Johnson moved it to the general fund so they could spend it. All that money just setting there was too much for them. This is why the SS fund is broke and will remain that way till the make it a separte fund again.

      Social Security is not an entitlement. Have you ever asked your employer to not withold money for Social Security? That’s not gonna happen. It is mandated that we pay into the plan, unless, of course, you work for the government. There are millions of ways to cut the budget without touching Social Security, like stop refurbishing mosques in Egypt. This is simply a scare tactic.

      By the way if the funding problem came down to having the IRS, or the President getting his pay check – we would have a FLAT TAX tomorrow. Same with the Dept. of Education – it would be gone. We don’t need a Constitutional Amendment – just threaten their pay check. Let’s see the Republicans, or the Democrats explain, either not voting for it, or Obama vetoing it…
      Spending Caps – is just another word for DEBT LIMIT INCREASE – Start reducing the “DEBT LIMIT” 10% per year until it makes sense, let us stop the bull.

      Yesterday, FoxNews had a video clip of President George Bush going to the Social Security lock box and pulling out binders filled with IOU’s. Feel duped and cheated? I do. It’s time to get the politicians out of Washington and get honest Americans in office to clean up the mess. I think 2010 was a good start and I trust many of the freshman members of Congress, because they’re not there for a career. We need to get more just like them in 2012.

      The Government withholds Medicare premium from my Social Securty payment. Does that mean if they don`t pay my Social Security in August ,my Medicare payment doesn`t get paid either ? Thus I don`t have Health insurance. I think we are going to call Obama`s bluff.
