‘You Gotta Vote’: Megyn Kelly Confronts Wisconsin Dem ‘Cowering’ in Illinois

After one Wisconsin state senator canceled his appearance on FNC’s America Live Thursday afternoon because he was running from the law media, host Megyn Kelly confronted Sen. Jon Erpenbach, a Democrat currently hiding out in Chicago.
Megyn asked Erpenbach to justify his absence as the state legislature waits to vote on Gov. Scott Walker’s budget proposal. “You have to go do your job. It is not your job to leave the state and cower in Illinois,” she said. “How is hiding out in Chicago discharging the duties of your office?”
While he dismissed the notion that he was “cowering,” Erpenbach insisted he and his fellow Democrats were doing their jobs, answering emails and phone calls from outside the state.
“What we do in this country is we vote. You can vote no and you can rail on the senate floor why this is wrong,” Megyn insisted. “You gotta vote, sir.”

Well so did the majority in Wisconsin and Ohio and now the Dems have run out of town because they don’t like a certain bill. Its not how democracy works and they are making America look like a two bit banana republic. Doesnt Walker understand the anger and that the good people of Wis are anti his plans? Or is it that he CANT wait to head to the Koch Bros ranch in California as he said on the taped call….?
When it comes time to shut down the government, Kelly and her “its your duty to vote” “and discharge your duties” will be nowhere to be seen. How is she going to handle that? Simple: by throwing softball questions as she usually does to the far right wing Tea Party and letting them spin it without her confronting them.
Kelly is just another far right wing Tea Party windbag, botox’d face and fake blonde hair and all.

There is two choices:
A) Have a Republic and elect Representatives to SHOW UP and represent the peoples business
Or
B) Have a Democracy and Majority rules without hearing the Minority Party and pass regulation regardless of attendance.
Which are you and the Protesting Unions calling for????
If your calling for a Republic then call on the cowardly Dems to represent you and do your business by showing up.
If your calling for Democracy, Shut up and do as the Majority Republicans say…..

There has to be a simple solution we are missing to prevent fleeing from disabling Government. Can the Majority not amend the statute requiring one more minority to hold vote to less? I sure hope Oklahoma sees all the fleeing cowards and enacts a provision for these instances.
Yes the chicken Dems from Texas fled to the City or around it. I believe if my memory serves me right the Oklahoma Highway Patrol found them or something to that effec, but nothing done to extradite them back.
Seriously Darmok, why isn’t Wisconsinites tracking theses cowards down and hauling them back to do their job? With technology as such and “Representatives” being paid by us, I think we have full right to track them and when MIA find them and hold them accountable. you know they could find them in two seconds……..
The question is what would they, being Dems, do if Repubs fled? Track them and haul them back or enact the bill regardless of any rules is my thoughts.

Finally, your personal attacks are ridiculous and completely fallacious. Megyn asks hard ball questions to EVERYONE she interviews, including the Tea Party. Those soft question you speak of come ONLY from the left when they interview the likes of idiot Democrats. Also, you do realize it is Dems, not Republicans, who actually require the Botox, don’t you? ““The first option for removing the “Badger 14″ senators is for the Assembly to impeach them by a majority vote and, if impeached, for the Senate to convict them by a two-thirds vote. The provisions for impeachment and removal upon conviction are set out in Art. VII, Section 1, of the Wisconsin Constitution which reads:
Impeachment; trial. The court for the trial of impeachments shall be composed of the senate. The assembly shall have the power of impeaching all civil officers of this state for corrupt conduct in office, or for crimes and misdemeanors; but a majority of all the members elected shall concur in an impeachment. On the trial of an impeachment against the governor, the lieutenant governor shall not act as a member of the court. No judicial officer shall exercise his office, after he shall have been impeached, until his acquittal. Before the trial of an impeachment the members of the court shall take an oath or affirmation truly and impartially to try the impeachment according to evidence; and no person shall be convicted without the concurrence of two-thirds of the members present. Judgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, or removal from office and disqualification to hold any office of honor, profit or trust under the state; but the party impeached shall be liable to indictment, trial and punishment according to law.”

When did standing up for something change in definition? I thought Whoopi and Behar showed how standing up for something by running off stage was a failure and actually is running away from a situation. Grown ups, that wear the big boy pants, debate and then do their jobs. If the outcome is not to their liking then they might figure 9out a way in the future to change that outcome, legally.

Posted on February 25, 2011 at 4:19pmFunny how the left always says, “This is what all the people ate telling us”. They fail to realize that the people they are listening to aren’t us. It is the Progressives they are listening to. This means the POTUS as well.

Are you kidding me? Why don‘t you go crawl back under the rock you’ve apparently been living under the last few years? The Wisconsin Democrats are NOT doing their job, at all. ONLY scum would make the outlandish claim that they are actually doing their job. You have to be complete scum to think running away from your constituents is actually doing good for your constituents. The ONLY thugs here are the ones cowering in fear in Illinois. The governor actually wants to get stuff done for Wisconsin. He CANNOT do so with the idiot Democrats running away from the problem, which they are.

Look up fair and balanced, please. It is a FACT that the ones not being fair and balanced here are the idiot Democrats. They are the ones running away from their job, after all, because they hate the Republicans. The Republicans are actually trying to get things done, but the stupid Dems are preventing anything from getting done. Go figure.

You’re calling Glenn Beck “stooopid” when it is all too obvious you are the ridiculously “stooopid” one. First of all, it is a FACT that the Wisconsin voters are NOT behind the Democratic Senators. That is why the Wisconsin voters voted in the current governor, after all, and have been behind the current governor’s plan since the very beginning. Second, the ONLY ones that have signed their resignations here are the idiot Democrat cowards who have run away from their duty. Third, if you actually think that we’d be working 24/7 with very bad and dangerous working conditions and that there’d be no child labor laws if there were no unions, you actually are a moron that there is no hope for whatsoever. A little news flash for you, but better working conditions and child labor laws came BEFORE unions were even created. Unions came AFTER laws were actually on the books, for crying out loud. The ONLY thing unions did was help to create even more such laws. Do you know how hard it is these days for children who actually WANT to work to actually find work because of some of those laws? Get an education, please.
